GANT Campus Store

The quality and design of the shirts in this area are beyond the quality of any of the shirts in the local area. The shirts are priced for their amazing quality. I love the style. The gentleman that is always there when I go in is an incredible help with finding styles and sizes that I’m looking for.

Great shop! I’d been really looking forward to going to the GANT Campus Store during my trip to New Haven. I just love their clothing — classic preppy menswear (and womenswear as well, just not at this location) in beautiful materials.
This location is really cool because it’s in the city the company was founded. They’ve done a really nice job of highlighting the company’s ties to the city and university through recent ad campaigns, and the décor on the walls of the store shows and explains those connections.
The shop itself is pretty small, but there is a lot of merchandise there yet the store doesn’t feel cramped or crowded. On my visit, there was a good variety of clothes — button-​ups, rugby shirts, sweaters, trousers, jackets, accessories, etc.
The two guys who were working (and who may be reading this now, since I did tell them I was going to post my pics and review up on Unilocal) were super cool and really friendly. They gave me a bit of history about the store, and we just chatted in general.
The clothes are definitely on the pricier side for what you will find in the area, but if you have the opportunity to pick something up, it is worth it because of the high quality materials and good styling. Most of the pieces in the store you could keep forever and have them only get better with age and never go out of style.
I didn’t catch all of their hours, but they’re open until 5:30 on Sundays.
