Best drinks anywhere and watch yourself… they make them strong! Great food and you will always have a good time. Their Monday«Locals Night» menu is wonderful and cheap. Try the Fried Chicken or the home made Mac & Cheese.

Decided to try the place because of Unilocal Reviews. Had to try the Mac n Cheese on this cold wintry day. It says it is for two but easily could serve 4. It was nice and creamy and quite cheesy. Panko breaking on top added nice texture. We decided to go light for entrée and had the poached pear salad and added grilled chicken. It was nicely presented with chicken on side. I personally like that as I am not much on having my salad wilted from the heat. Salad was very tasty. Nice mix of sweet and savory. Chicken was your typical grilled chicken. Our server was quite pleasant and dealt well with our requests and our humor.

Sometimes the food is amazing and other times it downright sucks. I have never gone to a restaurant that is so inconsistent. Do they use several chefs?

Staff was really nice. But it freaked me out because I found a long piece of hair in my food. Ugh. Talk about losing your appetite. I have heard many good things about this restaurant but, I’m so nervous to go back and try it again because I keep thinking of finding that long piece of hair in my food. Up until that point the food was good!

Really enjoyed this place. Wait staff super friendly. Ingredients very fresh. Only complaint was that they charged us over $ 10 more to substitute scallops for chicken in a dish. I can appreciate that scallops are a pricier ingredient, but that was almost the price of one of our entrees(the up charge). Otherwise, we were very happy, and would likely go there again

An eclectic spot for brunch and dinner. I’ve dined here twice and both times been satisfied with the quality of the food. The latest visit was dinner. I got the house salad, which was dressed moderately with a tangy Thai dressing. Our appetizer was the calamari. The dipping sauce made the dish, the calamari was OK. Not a standout, but certainly not bad. For our entrée we shared a crabcake and the shortribs and scallops over risotto. The risotto was drenched in a white cream sauce. Maybe not a traditional preparation but it was tasty. The scallops and crabcake were nicely seared and the short ribs not too fatty and they melted in your mouth. The drinks were Ok — for $ 11/$ 13 for the cocktails I would have expected a better quality liquor. The ones they used definitely had too much of an edge. Still, we love the laid back atmosphere and the food hits the spot. Will be back again for brunch, as that visit was the highlight!

I have yet to dine at Karla’s and I really need to from what I’ve heard about their constantly updated menu. I like to come to Karla’s for a good strong drink. They taste great and their made strong, just the way I like it. Don’t ever change. I’m not a huge fan of the old fashions but I love the way they make them here. They look fresh and authentic. I neeeed to come back for some food!

Awesome place! Love the ambiance and outdoor seating. Great omelettes! Potatoes were amazing and the service was outstanding! Warning: don’t order a margarita before noon! Very strong but great!

My favorite restaurant in New Hope and one of my favorite in NJ/PA area. The short rib risotto with scallops is an ABSOLUTE must have. The service is pretty good. Drinks are always eclectic and the décor reminds me of a small Parisian café off the beaten path. Hence why I have dubbed New Hope the Paris of Pennsylvania. If you’re looking to catch a buzz, just one of their varieties of margaritas will do the trick. I usually go with mango.

Three words… Yum, yum, yumm! I went to Karla’s restaurant for my birthday and I look forward to eating here again very soon! If you’ve never been to New Hope or Lambertville, I suggest making that a top priority on your to-do list. The town itself is super quaint and cute, with small businesses, coffee shops and really great eateries. Okay back to Karla’s: For an appetizer my guests and me had the warmed Brie cheese plate and some calamari. When you think about what you want both of those to taste like, this place hits it right on the head. The calamari had the right amount of crispness with a great spiced mayo on the side. Their menu is this nicely eclectic mix of fancy and casual pub style meals; both done with high quality. I had the pan seared salmon and a friend of mine got a really delicious burger and fries. To finish off the night we had a flourless chocolate tart that was seriously melt in your mouth. The ambiance, food, and service combined made for a really memorable birthday celebration. Go here. It’s worth it!

We came here for dinner, and everything about this place is quite delightful. The outdoor seating is enjoyable, however, I didn’t like being seated in the far corner, as it seemed easy for the staff to forget about us. The food was great, and the drinks are excellent. I am quite interested in coming back for brunch!

We enjoyed a nice lunch here, sitting outside on a warm November day. We ordered the fries with cheese curds, bacon and gravy, and they were delicious. I was pleased they served Deschutes Black Butte Porter. We both ordered burgers, mine with jalapeño and pepper jack cheese, my wife’s with goat cheese. Both were delicious and filling. There seemed to be just one waiter on a Friday afternoon, and a couple people stomped out in a huff, impatiently. But our service was just fine. Our waiter was obviously busy, but was very nice to us. I would definitely come back here.

We popped in on a Sunday morning for a rushed(on our part) brunch, and I am really looking forward to going back for a more leisurely visit. We were lucky to get the last open table, and were seated in a cute, cozy area that I would describe as an oversized sunroom. We were able to order from both the brunch and lunch menus, which is a plus. Everything was delish: my apple cider sangria and smoked salmon sandwich, his cilantro omelette with pico de gallo, which came with perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes. Service was friendly and fast.

Beautiful view from the outside seating area to the bridge on the side of the Bucks County Playhouse. It’s a quaint little spot, with a solid and reasonable menu. Nice beer, wine, and drink selection as well. So I was really torn coming in after reading reviews. The crab cake was highly touted in reviews and by out server. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 based solely on the fact that it was a great size and about 98% sweet, juicy crab. Perfectly broiled served open faced on a brioche garlic toast with a horseradish Dijon. I didn’t give it a 5 because it was missing something, can’t put my finger on it though. Not sure if I needed more of the sauce with it or if I wanted a different sauce, but either way it was very good, came with a lightly dressed side salad, excellent! We had the Mac and cheese as an appetizer, which was super creamy, not too overly cheesy, baked with seasoned panko on top. It was huge! Definitely enough for 4 to spilt as an app. It was in the top 3 Mac n cheese’s once ever had, and we got it plain Jane! I will 100% be back to try other menu items. They had a mahi-mahi taco special that sounded great and also 2 burgers on the menu that were just as enticing to my palate. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Great experience.

Was here today. Plenty of empty tables. Seated promptly. Enormous wait for food, despite tables being empty. Several tables seated well after us(By about 20 minutes or so), received food well before us. Ordered 2 burgers and scrambled eggs. Couldn’t get waiter to come over and refill drinks. Burgers came out raw despite ordering medium rare. Yes, there’s a difference between the two. I dealt with it as I couldn’t flag down a waiter. My wife tried dealing with it but promptly ran to the bathroom to vomit. Difficulty in getting the check. As waiter plopped it down and told me he would return, I promptly told him«here, you can take my card.» He ran off without my card and check. So, I proceeded to walk to the waiter stand with the credit card machine. Apparently, it wasn’t working and he had to scurry off to find a machine elsewhere. Horrible service, disgusting food. This is the type of place that caters to tourists and doesn’t really care if people come back as it is in a good location and will always get traffic. I would give zero stars if I could.

Since Wildflowers closed over a year ago, Karla’s has been my go to place. Granted, the service does get kind of spotty when they’re very crowded which happens quite often but I’m never in a rush so who cares. If it’s unimportant for them to churn tables, I’m not going to complain. Décor is very eclectic, kind of like being in an old farm house. Bar area is tiny but spills out into a small patio with a few tables. Drinks are delicious as is their food. I usually order either a craft brew or a Bloody Mary and ALWAYS get their delicious Gorgonzola garlic bread. As if regular cheesy garlic bread is insufficient, they take it to a whole new level. It’s delicious, as is just about everything else I’ve ever ordered there. I prefer to either sit in the front room or upstairs in the bar area. Back rooms seem a bit remote but still comfortable. One of my fav watering holes in New Hope. Kudos.

Hidden oasis inside a historical home. Garden room. Woven basket chairs. Bartender who makes the menu and suggestions. This little spot has a lot going for it. From décor… which alone should warrant a stop-by to an eccentric drink menu and tons of food specials. Ever changing specials are a great way to perk a Unilocalers interest and this place is really working the eclectic hipster feel. We shared half a mac and cheese app just based on Unilocal photos and man it was deliciooooooooous. Perfect amount of cheese and panko crust gave the dish a nice crunch. For the main meal I chose the chicken chili. I was just the right amount of bean and chicken with chips on the side. Lots of fun toppings to enjoy as well.

Sweetest, most delightful, most casual, cutest place I’ve been to in a while. Located in the heart of New Hope, my friend and I stumbled upon this place while out shopping. This place made me smile from the moment we walked in and were greeted and asked to choose a seat any where we’d like! Talk about a welcome committee! Our host, Dennis, was equally as charming and charismatic… Definitely knew his stuff and had an amazing personality, witty as ever… Love it! In fact, so much so, I think we may have worn out our welcome(We sat and ate for at least 2 hours.) My thoughts on Karla’s in a nutshell: Pros: Ambiance, fairly diverse crowd, amazing cocktails, pleasant staff, eclectic menu, reasonably priced, great place for a date or for just hanging out with the girls… Cons: Hours are a bit odd, menu isn’t terribly large(But then again neither are Craisins and I am OBSESSED with them), and that’s about all…

I was here on a Monday night for dinner while staying in New Hope. The restaurant had a Monday special for«local» that was recommended by the Innkeeper where I was staying. Typically I like to eat at the bar but Karla’s has a small bar and all the seats were taken so I asked the hostess for a table and basically had my choice of seating. I opted for a table on the patio next to the street. The bread and dipping sauce was wonderful and spicy. I couldn’t get enough. The salad was beautifully presented and with a light vinagrette dressing which was delicious. I ordered a pasta dish for locals night and it was also delicious although i thought the portion size was a little small. Service was outstanding here and everyone was so friendly. The restaurant is cute. Loved the patio. Definitely will add this to my list of places to return to when i am in the area again.
