Not sure how to rate — we had a really nice Kale salad. I think if we were looking for cocktails it would have been great, but they were out of every white wine except Italian Pinot Grigio and Cali Chard. :-o The décor is great and a beautiful garden. We like wine with our food so hopefully they will get on that!

Beautiful surroundings, attentive servers, and well prepared foods make the Poe Bistro Lounge a memorable dining experience. I had the Szechuan salmon, grilled pineapple with Basmati rice and it was delicious. We’ll be back!

Enjoyed a delicious Eggs Benedict Crab Cake with complimentary mimosa watching the talented performers during The Raven’s first Gender Bender Brunch. Wow it was fun and the staff worked so hard to give everyone a good time.

Two words: fish tacos. Delicious! Only complaint: for the price, wish there could be a third taco squeezed on the plate.

If you look for the Poe Bistro, you won’t find it. Just look for The Raven. The food is outstanding, and you can sit either in the elegant dining room or on the beautiful outdoor patio. The service was also excellent.

Nice ambiance. The service was great. Our waiter was very good and personal. The menu had an eclectic mix of food. I ordered calamari as an appetizer, which looked like it was breaded/prepared at the restaurant. I thought it was going to taste great, but it was bland. I also ordered potato leek soup for an appetizer. It was just ok. For my main course, I ordered vegetable stir fry with chicken. I believe it was around $ 21 or so. It tasted like take out Chinese food. It was also just ok. My fiancé ordered a special Thai dish, and that was tasty. My buddy ordered sirloin but said that it was too chewy. His wife ordered scallops and she said they were incredible. The bill with drinks and tip for four of us was 320.00. The ambiance on the back patio was really nice. All in all, the ambiance and service made up for the ok /mediocre food. Apparently the restaurant is connected to a hotel called the raven. There was also a bar and pool there. However, there were quite a few men walking around in banana hammocks when we were walking out of the restaurant. It was interesting. Definitely more of a gay friendly atmosphere. We had a nice time.

This afternoon, we were in the New Hope area and saw the outstanding reviews of Poes/Raven complex. Previous reviews indicated that this is a popular destination for gay folks. Even though we are a straight couple, the fabulous food reviews of Poes, drew us in. And, we were not disappointed. The menu was varied and our lunch was superb. Our server, Frank, was professional and knowledgable. We sat at an outside table and the setting was perfect for a summer day. The interior design also was impressive. We plan on visiting Poe’s again and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. Great menu, talented chef and skilled waitstaff, like Frank, make this a perfect spot for anyone.

Adequate(even very good) but not fabulous. We felt like we were breaking the age curve. Not impressed by the wait staff.

First, the pros: — Nice, eclectic décor — Pleasant service — Kale salad starter and chocolate mousse desert were tasty Cons: — Server took an extraordinarily long time in between each interaction. First, menus… wait. Then read us specials… wait. Then food order… wait. Etc. The place was mostly empty despite it being Friday night, so it was hard to understand the long delays. — Our mains were overlooked and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. I had the filet, completely dried out, odd texture. She had lobster tail and scallops. Lobster had same dried out heat lamp feeling. — We overheard another customer complaining about the food being overlooked and taking forever as well

If you’re going to Poe Bistro & Lounge on a Saturday evening, I strongly recommend that you make reservations. My dinner date and I had tickets to see a show at the winery and decided to grab a bite here. We were still pretty full from lunch — so we figured we’d have a couple of small plates. AMBIENCE: What a lovely place to take a date. To see this type of fine dining in New Hope is not what I expected. From the outside, you’ll see the sign for The Raven. I couldn’t see any signs for Poe(yes — I get the correlation) as we drove up to the place. Upon arrival(keep in mind, it was night time), you are greeted with charming white holiday lights(not sure if this is a permanent thing… but it was a nice touch). As you approach the main entrance, you’ll pass doors that I believe are«motel-like» entrances to their rooms. But this where the game changes. Once you step through the main entrance, turn left for Poe Bistro and you’ll enter a world that is tastefully decorated. The entire room from the fountain… to the mirrors… to the Poe-embroidered throws… this place is very inviting. STAFF/SERVICE: You are greeted with smiles and immediately feel welcomed. It’s clear the staff takes great pride in ensuring that your visit is satisfied. We explained to the greeter that we had tickets to see a show… which made its way to the wait staff, who made sure that we were served with enough time to make the show. FOOD: We were still pretty full from lunch, so we just decided to order an appetizer and a small plate. I had the Seafood Civeche, which was pretty tasty. For my small plate, I ordered the Pan Seared Duck Breast. HOLYCRAP, I SWEAR I SAWGOD! If you decide to order this dish and God asks you for a bite, tell him to get his own! This succulent duck breast was nicely seared on the outside was perfectly cooked on the inside. I wasn’t a big fan of the wild rice, but the Port Wine Cherry Chutney was harmonious in itself. The cherries were tart and coupled with the sweetness of the Port Wine reduction, it added the perfect balance to the savoriness duck. I would make the drive back just for this dish. For dessert, they offered various decadent standards — but I chose sorbets. They offered Raspberry and Strawberry/Kiwi. I asked if they could combine them… they accommodated… I was a happy boy… VERY happy. PRICE: I think overall, the prices are on point for dishes of this caliber. I’ve paid more for worse. I wouldn’t quite categorize this as casual dining… but it is nicer than most places you’ll find in the area. SUMMARY: If I could give Poe Bistro & Lounge more than 5 Stars, I would!

We came here last weekend and stayed at the hotel and decided to try the restaurant as well. It’s a lovely spot with a great outside patio. We had jack as our server and loved him! All of his recommendations were spot on. The seafood was fresh and tasty. For dessert we had the bananas and toll house pie. Drinks were strong and large. If your not there for dinner at least have a drink!

While I prefer the former menu(before the name change to Poe), the new options are very good and some old favorites stuck around, so it’s not too disappointing. The addition of small plates is probably the best thing about the menu. They are perfect portions if you are doing a first course(appetizer, soup or salad), as the entrees are often very large. On the small plate menu, I recommend the crab cakes and the meatloaf; if you’re lucky, they may have a paella small plate special, which was filled with fresh shellfish and a great, deep saffron flavor. If you’re doing appetizers, the pâté is a MUST. It’s their most popular appetizer, and with good reason: I cringe at the thought of pâté(any offal, really), but I tried a bit when it was ordered for the table… it’s incredible. Totally smooth and very mildly meaty. It’s served with whole grain mustard, onions, tomatoes, pickles, and preserves. There are two sizes to choose from(the small comes with six crostini, perfect for two people), but you just need to get it… I’m officially a convert. The sandwiches are a good deal if you’re in the mood for something a little less formal. The Liam(panko fried chicken, lettuce, tomato, chipotle ranch) is heavy and filling, as is the Pork Tenderloin(with spinach and provolone), which had just a tad too much fat for my taste. On the lighter side, the grilled salmon sandwich is delicious, served with salad rather than fries. If you’re going the entrée route, the jambalaya is very good(and pretty spicy). The scallops were a smaller portion than I expected for the price(4 – 5, depending on size, for $ 29), but they were perfectly cooked, and the tequila lime butter sauce was heavenly. The only part of the menu I haven’t liked is the flatbreads. The Cajun Seafood one is assembled strangely(the seafood is cooked separately from the flatbread and laid on top), so it fell apart. The Margherita tasted fine but was a bit dry. And if you’re in the mood for drinks, The Raven is the place to do it. They have the heaviest pour around, and their prices are very reasonable. And the staff and bartenders are all sweethearts.

Since The Raven is the best gay destination in New Hope, PA. It’s just befitting to have a signature restaurant. Réintroduire, Poe Bistro and Lounge. They just had their grand reopening two weeks prior to our visit. The ambiance is charming and quiet with a touch of sophistication. We made a reservation the same day and when we arrived we were seated promptly. The waiter introduced himself to us and handed us the wine menu. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc since we were in celebratory mood for the Memorial Day weekend. We started with pâté and bruschetta with onion, tomatoes, red pepper and relish as a shared appetizer. It was flavorful and a perfect starter. I then chose my main entrée, the Grilled pork BBQ sandwich with homemade fried potato chips. I was enjoying my meal until I was halted by an article on my sandwich. I was munching something inedible. Our waiter graciously informed me that it was a tiny rope that binds the BBQ pork when being grilled, The rope is completely harmless but the waiter took the price of the dish from our bill all the same. For dessert, we decided to just have a cheesecake to share since our entrée was sumptuous and filling. It was a perfect dessert to cap a lovely night. Even with the tiny«incident“with the string our dining experience was great. Thanks to a scrumptious meal and a sociable waiter who kept us entertained with his spontaneity.

Food — inventive, yet reasonable. Servers — professional, yet fun. Décor — contemporary, yet warm. Wow, what’s not to like about the new Poe Bistro Lounge at The Raven in New Hope! It has only been open for one week and we were very impressed with the makeover! The menu has a broad selection — salads, burgers, sandwiches, small plates and entrees. We had a difficult time choosing — nothing disappointed and we look forward to coming back often to try everything else on the menu. My recommendations so far — shaved kale salad, crab cake sliders, filet mignon sandwich. Check it out at and on Facebook at . If you’re wondering where the name«Poe» comes from, it’s a nod to Edgar Allan Poe and the famous line in his poem, The Raven: «Quoth the raven, «Nevermore.»

Small plates were perfect portion. Atmosphere was very open and shiek. Great service. We came after it’s first week opening and did not know what to expect. We ordered the grilled sirloin(slightly chewy), the fish tacos(would have preferred a pickled coleslaw over the cream sauce) and the grilled polenta and mushrooms. The buffalo chicken empanadas were not homemade, but a good appetizer. Overall we enjoyed the experience but we hoping for more«zing» and spice on the menu
