I waited too long to eat, I wanted food but not McDonalds. So I drove thru this Arbys. I loke their sandwiches and as usual, this is pretty tasty. The fries were fresh and hot, the sandwich was filled with meat and the diet pepsi was … well diet pepsi. blerg.

This is a highly subjective review, so keep that in mind… When I go to Arby’s, it’s usually the one by my work(on Waters Ave. in Tampa). This one(on Little Rd.) has a LOT of catching up to do… I don’t often eat at fast food restaurants, but every now and then if I need something quick, I get the Farmhouse Salad with grilled chicken. Being lactose-intolerant, I was surprised the first time I had ordered it and realized it came with cheese. No biggie. From that point on, I always ordered it without cheese and things were fine. When I decided to try the Arby’s on Little Rd., I was told that I couldn’t get that salad without cheese, since it was pre-made. Wait… what? Are the ingredients used in this salad so complex that they need to be prepared ahead of time? Are these ingredients so difficult to come by in the restaurant that this«Market Fresh ®» meal couldn’t actually be made… fresh? According to the ingredient list on the Arby’s website, this salad is made with turkey, bacon, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, shredded cheese. Roast turkey and bacon are both used quite a bit for various sandwiches on the menu. So that should be easy. Lettuce, onion, and tomato were used a bit less frequently, but I still found quite a few sandwiches with them. So that shouldn’t be a problem, either. All in all, it felt like the staff was just too lazy to make the salad to order. They wanted to scoop out a bowl-full of scraps from their pre-made«bag o’ salad» mix and get back to whatever they were doing when I, their single customer, had shown up… At most other fast food places, I really wouldn’t care much. They specialize in fast food options, so if you want something else, it’s important to keep low expectations… But Arby’s has been doing this whole«Eat This, Not That» campaign, focusing on offering healthier options. I just really expected better…

This New Port Richey Arby’s(Little Road) was terrible with service. I was the ONLY one in the restaurant and it took me forever to get a sandwich which is the ONLY thing I ordered. No drinks, no fries. JUST a sandwich. I ordered a mushroom swiss roast beef sandwich and it was very disappointing. The cheese tasted like plastic and the meat was like mystery meat and had a funky taste. The bun was all soft and soggy. A few bites and I threw it away. I hadn’t visited an Arby’s in many years, thoughts I would give it a chance since I was on the run and it was handy. I don’t know if it was just this particular store but it might be several more years before I try one again.
