New port richey is just a special kind of place. NPR can take a great thing like the cracker barrel and just destroy it’s reputation. The first time that I came here I opened a creamer and it was all mold, like months of mold. The manager was kind enough to comp my coffee. This time it was a little better. However, I did have time to get upset because no one has even taken my drink order and write half of this review. Took a long time to get service, dirty table, got the old thumb in the grits when the food arrived but everything tasted great. And the food came out super fast. All and all it is a day in Pasco. In the end, the server was actually pretty good. The food came out crazy fast, taste good but was mostly cold. I ate half of it and went elsewhere for lunch. I travel all over the south east for work, eat at a cracker barrel when i can and this is the only one with consistent problems. There are too many good breakfast places in the area to take your chances with this place.

Oh Cracker Barrel, what is there left to say that has not been said already. While the parking lot made it seem like a full house(they need more parking!) along with the bustling of patrons moving in and out the door, my party of two waited only a few moments before getting ushered to a table. The ambience is everything you expect from a Cracker Barrel store complete with a roaring fireplace(undoubtably due to the cold weather) two old artifacts and signs hanging along the walls. Most of the staff seem to have worked there for several years and were well experienced which lead to no surprise when our orders and drinks came out without an issue. We only waited on our food perhaps 10 minutes or so and equality made me think that my mom or grandmother may have been in the back cooking! Definitely a recommended spot for those needing some soul food or perhaps a good rib-sticking meal. This southern boy will be looking forward to his next visit!

Why is it that every time I come here they don’t have what is on the advertised menu. The food is so good and staff is great, but they never have food! Maybe they run out? Who knows. I love the sunrise sampler, a good way to kick start your day. The peach cobbler is just like my grandmama. And of course the dumplings are like no other. The gift shop is great too!

Awesome food! They get four stars because they are open til ten… But we were there at 8:45 and they were cleaning up and closing everything around us… The waitress had to «move her car» while waiting on us… I guess everyone just wanted to go home!!!

Kudos to the Chef! I ordered Mushroom Braised Pork Roast with corns and mashed potato and it was GREAT! Unfortunately it’s seasonal for Christmas holidays so don’t miss it!

It was four stars for its ambience, five for its food and five for the waitress. This place was a freezer. A child had her legs folded up onto her chest with the t-shirt over her bent legs. She was wearing shorts. I had to get the two hoodies I keep in the car for emergencies of this sort. One is the blue Yankees Universe I bought at Yankee Stadium, because it was freezing during one of this teams many playoff games in October. I topped it off with a Boston Red Sox’s cap on my head. I would recommend this particular CBOC Store because of its waitress, who was friendly, happy and quick in bringing our food to the table. We had places to go…

Horrible. Waited almost an hour for our food after waiting 10 min for our drinks. The food was dry and our service was ridiculous.

This has got to be the worse place to eat. It clearly does not illustrate what Cracker Barrel is about. I came here tonight expecting to have a wonderful to-go meal when in fact my meal was just horrible. I had the meatloaf dinner with my sides rice, Mac and cheese and hash brown casserole. The Mac and cheese was the only thing that was good while the meatloaf had undone meat layered in it as you will see in the picture next to the rice. The rice and hash brown casserole were hard as if they scraped it from the bottom of the pot. Basically my entire meal was a bomb!!! Regardless if I sat in the restaurant and ate or got it to go I should’ve been served with the best food they have not the bottom of the barrel just because their name has barrel in it. I called the manager and informed him of what was served to me and he was disappointed and offered me another meal. I told him no thank you. Once you serve me disgusting food, I do not want to come back. I cannot watch you cook in front of me and see what is going on. It should have been done correctly the first time not the second time when I complain. I had to settle for a bologna and cheese sandwich since my dinner was ruined!!! I don’t know why I’m having such horrible luck with the restaurants here. Is New Port Richey really a crummy place to look for wonderful places to eat? Will I come back to this establishment no. Will I refer it to friends, no. I want to keep my friends. Again, this is the worst Cracker Barrel I have been to and will not be coming back.

This is by far the WORST Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been to! Being new to the area I was happy to see one of our favorite restaurants near by. Upon entering we waited for the hostess and were seated. Our waitress was HORRIBLE the entire meal! We were completely rushed and my small request for honey was a major inconvenience for our her! The food was good but that was it. After our meal we purchased a few things from the country store as we always do and checked out. We decided to play a game of checkers in the front porch area. Not 2 minutes into our game I see the manager and country store employee come out, right behind them was our waitress!!! She approached me asking«What was the problem?!» Completely SHOCKED! I said«excuse me?» she said«the tip!» «Was there a problem!!?». Need I say more? I was mortified and could not believe this was actually happening! Another customer approached me and told me I should call corporate that was just crazy. We will never eat at this location again!

I love the breakfast anytime, the meatloaf is great, and the fish fry is awesome. Coca Cola cake is to die for. Nice little store attached with old favorite treats.

This place is great. Cheap food that taste like home made. Everything they serve is great. This store could never last here in N. Y the service wouldn’t be as friendly and I’m BC sure the prices would go sky high. The store attached to the restaurant is great with old time hard to find candy like sugar daddy’s and moon pies, plus mugs, shirts etc. I actually glad it’s not in N. Y I want to look forward to it when I go south. Great for families

I’ve always been a fan of Cracker Barrel, and this is a great location. They actually know how to cook eggs correctly, which is difficult to find in this area, or at least it has been for me. Their pancakes are fantastic as well, and their hash brown casserole is delicious. They have both great food and service, and I’ve become a regular.

One of my favorite restaurants to just relax, take it easy and enjoy the wholesome atmosphere and the good food. I can spend over an hour in the General Store alone just getting lost in all the old time candies, treats, toys, games and knick knacks. And I can never come out of there without my chocolate Moon Pies. Food has always been good. For lunch or dinner I would recommend the Cracker Barrel Sampler.

Always great for breakfast. I’ve been to this location a couple times now and have always had good food and service. The country store always has new items and things to look at. Brandon and I brought my mom and her friend here for breakfast on the weekend and everyone enjoyed their meals. Brandon’s go to is the country fried steak while my mom really enjoys the french toast… Definitely plenty of options for breakfast though.

So, I’ve been to about 40 different Cracker Barrels and love having one close to where I live now. The food is pretty consistent wherever you are… so I tend to stick to a couple of items that I like… Now for this location… Little nervous when we walked in and the lobby smelled like mop bucket water… The smell carried a little into the dining room muted by the crackling fire and burning patterns. Our waiter, David, was pleasant and attentive. Drinks were kept filled and service was prompt. There was a little language barrier that resulted in three out of six orders being wrong… but they were quickly fixed. The manager came over later and was very apologetic and discounted our meal. Now my favorite part of eating out… FOOD…five of us had very good meals with great taste and presentation. The sixth meal was fair… The turkey in the turkey dinner wasn’t the best tasting and was compared to a cafeteria pressed turkey roll that was microwaved.

Grabbed a quick dinner with my husband. Nothing amazing, but the food is always quick, the service is always good, and they always make sure that your glass is full of your drink. Prices are reasonable, and that’s probably what’s the best about it.

I hope theirs chicken and dumplings with fried apples in heaven! I love coming here. Reminds me of meals with my family. Service at this location is great. I asked what the vegetable of the day was, cornbread stuffing it turned out to be. I asked how it was being a stuffing fanatic, that’s when the waitress got nervous. I smiled, thanked her for her honesty and ordered a different side. She brought out a small portion of the stuffing to try, WOW, was it dry. I am glad she urged me to get something different. After I finished my drink to get the moisture back in my mouth, I continued with the rest of my meal and loved every minute of it. Enjoy your meal!

Besides the food being good. What a great staff — nice, friendly and patient.
