This place has the best crab cake around! The food is made in a utility trailer by a very passionate chef/owner. There is outdoor seating with umbrellas. My family and I love crab cakes and have tasted most in the area. Hands down this is the best! We will definitely be back!

The seafood here is TOP notice. The guys are always friendly, and they make some very, very good Maryland-based food! My favorite, bar none, are the fish n chips. The chips even shine with the perfect thickness and seasoning!

As a native Annapolitan(Annapolis, MD — sailboat Capitol and may as well be blue crab/crab cake capital of the world) I absolutely approve of this fine establishment! I Often catch my own crabs out of the Chesapeake bay so I know what to expect. Visiting The Tampa area, we accidentally stumbled upon this eatery when we saw our home flag. We left very pleased to have gotten a true taste of home and for a much more reasonable price than we have to pay at home for great crab cakes. The crab cake was shredded crab style rather than lump crab meat, but I did not feel that anything was missing from this and I think it works best on a sandwich which the owner suggests. It was still wonderfully delicious. The homemade garlic aioli and the homemade tartar sauce was also delicious(ALTHOUGHTHECRABCAKEDIDNOTNEEDIT!). The cole slaw was wonderful and not too vinegary. The home made kettle chips were also great and pair well with the light dash of signature old bay seasoning(Maryland’s signature seasoning that we use on just about anything, but particularly crabs and other seafood). The beans with cheese was tasty. The place also had lots of Maryland charm, embracing the old bay seasoning theme and lots of ocean city, md decal and crab traps and whatnot. The owner was very friendly and generous. He is a Marylander himself and is very welcoming to fellow Marylanders and Floridians/tourists alike. Definitely give this place a try if your in the mood to experience my hometown’s element!

Small restaurant located in a marina/park. Stopped in on a busy Saturday afternoon and had to wait for a bit. Make sure you sign in(there is no hostess) or you will never get a table. Lots of fresh seafood and sandwiches to choose from. I was impressed with their beer selection. Inside seating and a nice deck for outside seating.

It was okay. But my Mac n cheese tasted like there was no cheese. The chips were pretty good though. But I won’t come back.

What can you say about this place. Straight outta Guy Fieri’s DDD this hut at the side of Little Rd is knocking out killer crab cakes for under $ 10. The crab cake sandwich is to die for and the ODC burrito(shrimp and crab cake) is equally great. You have to try this place!

I was nervous because it’s so hard to find a good crab cake and their food is fried. But this is the real deal homemade. The crab cake is BIG time. The sauces are interesting and have great flavor. There’s a nice lil farmer’s market next door. the owner is super friendly and passionate. This shack with picnic table seating is definitely worth trying!!! The homemade kettle chips and spicy(SPICY) black beans n cheese are quite good. They do a white bisque and tomato based crab soup too. The crab cake is definitely the way to go sandwich or platter n sides. :)

We were excited to check this place out, love the look and feel of a side of the road crab shack. I had The crab cakes and they had good flavor, we’re not fishy, but we’re full of crunchy crab shells. My husband had the crab sandwich with the same experience.

Tiny little shack but great food. We got the crab balls which were great! No fillers in them. We also got the fish tacos and seafood quesadilla and I can’t complain about anything. The outside seating is a nice touch and I was surprised they take cards.

This place is still one of my favorite gems of New Port Richey. I finally tried the quesadillas… They were awesomely messy and delicious, but the crab burrito with a side of black beans is still my favorite. I’m not much for fried food, so I’m not a big fan for the fish, but the chips are homemade and delicious(also fried, but had to try them) I will say though that the ready of my family LOVE the fish and chips here. The baked beans are pretty tasty as well and I don’t usually eat that type of beans. Bottom line… Nothing but love for this little place, not to mention that the owner is so personable and friendly :-) everyone should eat here.

The others that pointed out that the crab cakes had no fillers were right on the mark! This was my first time here and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were! My only complaint was making kettle chips with Old Bay seasoning– it just didn’t work for me, but not taking a whole star away for that. Would give 4 ½ if I could.

Cute little roadside stand. It’s on a busy road but the tables are cute and picnic feeling. The owner was very nice. The Crab cake was cooked perfectly and had lots of crab meat. We had the crab cake platter with your choice of side The coleslaw was excellent and my husband liked the baked beans. We’d come back;)

This place boasts a fun atmosphere, stellar service where customers are friends, and authentic eats. It is a winning combo. For my first visit at the Old Bay Café, which is quickly gathering a strong and far-spreading word-of-mouth reputation, I had to go with the signature crab cake sandwich. I let out an audible«oh my god» when I saw this thing…5 ounces of luscious crab meat, formed into more of a softball than a flat cake. No filler is used in this beauty — only as much tasty binder that is needed. The spicy mayo gives it nice flavor. The kind owner also gave me a sample of the crab bisque, which was also very flavorful. I will be ordering some on my next visit, as well as the much-tooted-about fish tacos. Even their Arnold Palmer is special: Made with good tea and even better stratch-made lemonade, shaken in a cocktail shaker and exuberantly delivered to your table. Yeah, you’ll wanna try this place. As a side note, it becomes pretty clear after skimming the profile of cranky naysayer below and reading his countless nasty reviews of local joints that this guy clearly gets a hard-on from blasting restaurants with use of as much excessive, colorful, and likely false details as possible. I’m not affiliated with this or any restaurant, but I don’t like to see small businesses starting off the world getting a phony bad wrap from some cranky poo-poo-er. With that being said, try this place. It’s likely that you’ll like it.
