Some of the best Italian food in Westchester. I love this place, and the owner is super friendly. I loved my veal parm, and everything on the menu is just wonderful. It’s a little small, so make sure to make a reservation.

WOW, A HIDDENGEM !!! My girlfriend and I came here for dinner last week and absolutely loved it. Small intimate location, Very nice menu BUT listen to the specials that was the best part! Appetizers– we started with 2 of the specials grilled octopus and a stuffed seafood clam/shell– the octopus was AMAZING just enough for the both of us, NOT fishy and had a nice smoked grill taste, The stuffed shell was big ! there were 2 and it was stuffed with octopus, clams, shrimp dont remember what else but it was cooked like a bake clam and boy was it nothing less delicious. Entrée– I had the Lobster Lasagna in a pink sauce which was a special as well. top was crusted and i ate almost the entire thing. Not fishy and wasnt made like a traditional lasagna it was rounded; anyway it was great !! My gf had the Soft shell crab which was to die for ! it was fired and great! not to salty cooked perfectly We ended our evening with a tiramisu dessert, sometimes people make these and the espresso taste over powers it BUTNOTDAGIORGIO ! it was outstanding– the ONLY thing i could possibly complain about was the ticket times on our food, a little bit of a wait but ALL worth it ! will definitely be coming back. a lot

Most of the Italian joints in Westchester stink these days, but Da Giorgio is the best. I really like this place. We had the buratta and the meatball for appetizer. They were both excellent. Then we had the veal chop margerita special which was phenomenal. And the linguine with seafood was outstanding. To top it off we had the banana Nutella spring roll which were great. The service was also excellent. Joe was a great waiter. Chef came to table and introduced himself and was a really nice guy.

I’ve had a love-hate relationship with Da Giorgio’s for years: I LOVE the food, I HATE the service. It’s not that the staff is rude or unpleasant… it’s just that the kitchen is soooooo slow to get the food out, yet the wait staff seems to accept this as business as usual. We wrote a letter to Giorgio two years ago, explaining our frustration… he replied by phone, thanking us for the feedback, indicating he was unaware of how amateurish & slow the service was. Two years later NOTHING has changed. So my advice: if you can accept 1 star service for 5 star food, go here. But if you want a reasonable level of service, skip this place… or take a Prozac before going cause you are going to wait a LONG, LONG time before your food order comes out of the kitchen. For us we’ve resolved after 5 years of enjoying the food… we will NEVER return.

I hate being that guy that goes against the majority of the 40+ reviews but I would consider Da Giorgio slightly better than your run of the mill Italian place. The ambiance is good — just what you would want. The place is very tightly packed, but that was OK with me. The service was excellent — very friendly and fast. At the start the waiter told us to not even look in the menus because we don’t want to order anything in there and that the specials were what we really wanted. A bit weird and obnoxious especially because my wife was in the middle of going through the menu and he kept telling her to «close it, close it, you don’t want any of that!» Burrata special was amazing. Osso buco special was OK — underwhelming. Missed that deep, rich flavor I wanted. Rigatoni alla Bolognese was good — definitely had better. Needs to be richer. Chicken Parm was very good — probably the best of all the dishes we shared Chocolate lava cake dessert and cannolis stole the show — amazing! With so many great Italian places in the area it is unlikely you’ll find us back at Da Giorgio.

I went to Da Giorgio with my wife and 3 other couples to celebrate various January birthdays. I wasn’t expecting much when researching the restaurant on line. The dinner menu looked interesting but limited. The Unilocal reviews I read convinced me to give it a shot. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted by a wonderful staff and were seated after a short wait. The waiter described the specials to us and I was amazed that there were almost as many specials as regular items on the menu. The service was great. The food was even better. At one point, the owner/executive chef Giorgio came out and talked to us for a while. He was charming and down to earth as a person can be. Wonderful food. Great service. It has become our new favorite place to dine,

Intimate room with competent Italian standards and friendly service. Don’t let the mini-mall staying phase you. Stick to the basics and have some wine!

Excellent food. Da Giorgio is stepped up Italian fare. The menu is a mix of new dishes and inspired classics plated in fanciful ways. I would definitely recommend Da Giorgio for a nice family dinner or even a date. The tabletop could use a face lift to help bring it to that next level but aside from that, everything was excellent. We will definitely return.

We were so impressed with Da Giorgio. The space lacks charm, which lowered our expectations. But the dishes were both imaginative and delicious, and service was excellent on the Saturday evening we visited. I recommend it!

A hidden gem in New Rochelle! If you drive too fast down Quaker Ridge Avenue, you might miss it. The place is located in a small strip mall next to a kosher supermarket and a fro-yo shop. Small and unassuming from the outside, the beautifully decorated interior and the soft lighting inside can make it suitable for a date or a family dinner. The waiter was attentive and even engaged with my 9 year old in an effort to get him to ask for his favorite Italian dish(cheese ravioli).(We had the orange rough(the night’s special) and it was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back to try their other seafood options!

This place was excellent. We had passed by it without noticing, but found it online looking for a restaurant in the area. The food was delicious and the portions were a good size. The swordfish was cooked very well and was not dry at all. Every time I’ve had swordfish in the past it’s been dry(I tried my friends). My veal was very tasty. Everyone was pleasantly surprised, looking forward to coming back.

Food good, not impressed. This place is good if ur shopping in the strip mall and get hungry. No ambience, boring décor and tight quarters. Food was good, nothing I cant do at home. Only wine and beer. If you want a cocktail, youre screwed! The Burrata wasnt creamy enough and was covered in some kind of dehydrated onions. Flavor was good, tho. Scallop dish with Farro Salad wasnt bad, not«extraordinary» like the waiter said and what cook or chef doesnt know that you have to pull off the tough muscle before you cook or serve? Picking it off myself was annoying. They were cooked perfectly, tho. They had a nice sear and were tender. The Aglio Oglio was delicious! Dare I say, better than mine. Dont worry tho, all I have to do is add more bread crumbs to mine and I’ll have them beat! The other dish with Black linguini had a weird flavor and I dont know where The Jalapeño in the dish comes into play. I undestand playing with different flavors, but NO, it just didnt jive. My Affogato Was fuckin fabulous, but then again, its ice cream in Espresso, you can tgo wrong. Overall, decent service, good food. But, I wouldnt go again. I need more room and more enjoyable ambience. After all, its the whole experience that counts!

Da Giorgio’s food is impressive, considering its humble location at an old strip mall and the narrow, small size of the place. On a Sunday night, customers– namely Caucasians in their 50’s and seniors-continued to come in. A reservation is most certainly needed. ++A good place for families and dates looking to celebrate a special occasion or have a nice dinner. –Though my family made a reservation, we still had to wait 10 minutes or so for a lingering table to end their chit chat despite another open table available. –This is not a place for big groups. ++Our waiter was pure Italian with his accent, though service was standard. ++Loved the dim, cozy, yet classy feel. With fall in full swing, this place is very warmly heated. ++Presentation of their dishes is excellent. We were wowed by pretty much everything. Appetizer recs: ++Stuffed Meatball Calabrese– pork, beef, and veal meatball filled with housemade mozzarella with side salad. There’s only 1 meatball included in this app, however, the oozing mozzarella as you sliced the meatball was beautiful. Salad was fresh with a wide assortment of greens. ++Calamari Fritti– their mariana sauce was divine. Homemade, fresh with no hint of sourness. It could be a delicious tomato soup purée itself. Entrée recs(2 pasta dishes were enough to be shared for a family of 4): ++Cavatelli Con le Vongole– Baby clams, cannellini, grape tomato, garlic & olive oil. The size of this dish is impressive, enough for 2 people alone. Cannellini is a white bean that surprisingly complements well with the dish. This is not a red sauce pasta– in fact there is little sauce but the chef still manages to make it well flavored. The pasta was not vongole– they were castellane instead, which are an oblong, shell shaped pasta. ++Linguini Cacio e Pepe– black pepper in a pecorrino romano cream sauce. The cream sauce is delightfully thick with a hint of cheese. Dessert recs: ++Tiramisu– not too sweet with custard flavored cream –Cannoli: the fried dough was too hard.
