Very hospitable, cool vibe, friendly staff, a beer selection second to none… I love the fact that they have a great choice of Florida beers but also some of the best from other states as well. Places like this make us definitely add New Smyrna Beach to our list of vacation destinations!

Hands down my favorite pub in Volusia County. We have been a number of times and we have never been let down. The nachos are fresh and delicious. The pretzel is a perfect fit for just drinking beers, the cream cheese dipping sauce is so good. In my opinion Half Wall has the best sandwichs ever. The french dip is the best I’ve ever had. We also continue to order the Bourbon chicken sandwich! The beer is cold and all the servers we have are always able to recommend something new that we would like. Kitchen isnopen late till 11pm. Tvs all over tonwatch your favorit game. Clean, great atmosphere. 5 out of 5! Hell, 6 out of 5!

The food is great but where they excel is in their customer service. From the manager to the wait staff everyone is incredibly friendly. If you’re looking for a place to dine in downtown NSB, definitely hit up the Half Wall!

Ordered the burger with Gouda and the appetizer of onion rings. I’m drooling just thinking about it. Absolutely delicious and I love that they cook them to requested temperature! Definitely will come again!

Wonderful beer selection! Fried green tomatoes, Greek burger, schnitzel sandwich, and French dip were excellent. We are huge soccer fans and this place is the best to see games. Will be back asap!

Best service I’ve ever had! Bartenders are knowledgeable and super friendly. The selection of drinks is amazing and the food is so good! The fish was so fresh and full of flavor, the burgers were perfectly cook. The pretzel with the cheese dip was probably the best one I’ve had in years! Will definitely go back often.

Perfect example why a beer and cocktail place should stick to what they do well. Great selection of craft brews, but food was mediocre at best. Kyle did the best job he could do but there was a large group that came in before us and after. He appeared befuddled. I asked for water 3x and finally had to flag down a waiter. Scallops not worth the price as an appetizer. I asked for sesame ginger dressing and got balsamic vinaigrette instead, a better pairing with the Half Wall salad with chicken. Cheddar beer soup was good. Black bean burger was mushy. Bread on sandwich not the best. A great place to hang out, watch a few games on a dozen TVs, but stick to the bar food. Park in back of the restaurant. Ask for the day’s beer list and specials.

I would never in a million years, have thought a RAT would run across my table while I’m enjoying a beer, but that’s exactly what happened here. The staff found it amusing, I found it disgusting. I won’t be back, and I hope the health department shuts them down. DISGUSTING!!!

Two and a half stars rounded up to three because I’m in a round up mood. Have stopped in a handful of times with anywhere from one star to four star experiences. Great beer choices, but had a flat one that should have been sent back. Have had excellent service and vanishing servers. No real vegan menu choices but can mix and match salad ingredients to get by. I do like that they are open later(12:30PM) than most NSB bars with food so that’s a plus. Plenty of seats and never crowded so seat yourself. TV’s everywhere if that’s what you want. Hope they make it. Looks like a large capital investment on Canal St. that needs more customers or some re-tooling.

Can’t comment on the food. We stopped in a couple drinks while taking in the car show on Canal St. $ 30 for two glasses of wine and two glasses of draft beer seems a bit excessive to me. Guess we should have asked about the price, my bad, won’t happen again.

4pm football time at a sports bar but they only play dance music and won’t change it even though the bar is filled with people watching football not dancing. Yes we did request sound for football nicely. #sportsbarfail

We stopped in for a bite to eat after the Christmas parade in New Smyrna, and were seated right away. Let me start with the gigantic craft beer selection. There’s nothing I love more than a good IPA, and not one I’ve had a thousand times. They had choices that I’ve never heard of, a detailed list of the abv, what coast it was from, etc. The food menu was just as diverse and informative as well. I had the peanut butter bacon burger, and it was on point. My wife enjoyed the wings, and friends of ours ordered the loaded fries and ahi tuna. Everything was perfect. If you ate thinking of song in, please do. You won’t be disappointed!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything tonight. The Ahi Tuna Melt was outstanding! Nice atmosphere, and the cutest barmaid ever!

Great beer on tap selection. I can’t imagine why the guy next to me ordered a Mich Ultra in a bottle. I guess he just doesn’t enjoy real beer. Look for Rodney behind the bar. Knowledgeable, friendly, regular guy, just happens to serve beer and, obviously enjoys his job. Cheers to you Rodney for a great Half Wall experience. We’ll be back because of you.

Several friends and I visited at 4pm on a Wednesday afternoon. We were there about an hour and were the only guests in restaurant. My friends had a beers and cocktails, which they said were good. I ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer. For $ 9 I received a plate of 3(three) small pieces of tomato. For $ 9 you will only receive 3 small disks the size of half dollars of tomatoes. Very disappointed in the food! Will Not return and now I see why the place was empty at Happy Hour time!

Excellent beer selection! The lady behind the bar was super friendly and knew her beers well. I tried a new beer(Einstok) per her recommendation and enjoyed it so much that I made sure to order it at Epcot a few days later. Nice bar too– warm and inviting.

I love seeing great new places opening up in New Smyrna and this is one of them. They have tons of beers and tons of tv which is about all you need. Didn’t try any food but our waitress seemed like she didn’t want to be there so I took away a star for service. We’d come back here again for some late night brews.

Good food, great beer. Actually, the serving temps on beer are perfect. Contrary to people who don’t know anything but a frozen mug, beer is supposed to be served at around 42 degrees, not freezing. 35 degree beer is beer you don’t want to taste. I like flavorful beer and I like to taste it, not just use it to wash down hot wings. The food came out really fast and was tasty. The boom boom sauce should go on everything! The bartender had a large party that had just ordered but put my order in first so I didn’t have to wait long. Neither did the large party; their food can out fast as well. Nice spot, I’ll be back!

Good place to stop in for a sandwich and a beer. Plenty of choices of beer here. Between the large draft list and even larger bottle list, I am sure everyone will find something they will like. Stopped in on a Monday afternoon for a quick lunch and a couple of beers. The food was pretty good, the service was friendly and quick, and the beer was cold. Nothing to rave about but no complaints either. Nice addition to the area.

This was our first visit here and I must say the interior is impressive I like the lighting, the seating layout and the décor but the reason I came here was for the food and cocktails. Once I opened the menu it was apparent most people come here for the beer, they have a very extensive list of beers and it’s listed by the state of origin and there are many to choose from. Of course being from Louisiana I immediately look for anything from the Abita Brewery and decided on a Purple Haze this is a great beer when served cold unfortunately mine was served in a warm glass and the beer may have been poured cold but it didn’t arrive that way. Our server was very friendly but not very attentive. Knowing that the owners of Half Wall also own one of my favorite burger places in NSB on the beach I decided that was going to be the safe option and ordered a burger but unfortunate it fell short and I didn’t finish it, the huge chunks of raw jalapeños tucked under the cheese on an over cooked burger which was ordered medium was a big disappointment. There were some things we ordered that was pretty good. The cucumber salad is world class, the beer cheese soup was okay and the French dip has some promise. So nothing horrible here but a lot that is just average, I will return and try a few of their other offerings but they definitely need to lower the beer temperature. I can see this place has a lot of potential they just need to do a little more training and work out some kitchen issues. So I guess the atmosphere will bring me back.
