Flagler Tavern

Nice patio. Lots of food choices. Decent casual food place. Didn’t see a beer list so we just got standard stuff we knew would be on tap. Server was friend and attentive during the first fifteen minutes. Huge problem with food service. We were a table of four who ordered pretty simple stuff, one of them a kid’s menu item that takes me about 90 seconds to make at home. Table across from us with two people ordered after us and got their food about twenty minutes before us because, yes, it took forty-​five minutes from the time we ordered before our food arrived. Server assured us multiple times before that that it was «almost ready» when she came back after about 20 mins. Not sure if this was a ploy for us to drink more, but we had two kids with us, so we definitely weren’t going to drink a ton, just wanted to have dinner with our family. My daughter was upset because we arrived for a later dinner anyway at 7:20 and ordered at 7:30. My fiancé actually walked down the street to 7 – 11 and got her snacks after we had waited 30 mins… he managed to get there and back with something for her to snack on before the food arrived. This must be normal for this restaurant because there was no mention of the wait or apology for us having to wait so long. Waiting this long anywhere else would have at least warranted an apology or even a drink on the house. Not sure what was going on since it was later on a Thursday and not busy. This is our last night out for vacation, but we probably won’t be back on a return trip unless we don’t have the kids, aren’t hungry, and have two hours to kill.

Sat outside on a sunny summer day and watched all the activity on Flagler Avenue with a frosty beverage in hand. What’s not to like? Bonus for us was spotting the Dr. Praeger’s jumbo California veggie (vegan) burger on the menu. We added avocado, an order of fries and it was great. Service was spot on. Only downside was that porch dining also served as the «smoking section» so it was a little annoying. Next time at Flagler Tavern, we’ll know to stay upwind.

One of the best places to attend a special event. People, atmosphere, food amazing. The cost fit the event. Would highly recommend to others and will be attend more events at this venue

Atmosphere is clean. Loud lively. Sneak upstairs to the Red Room. Much quieter
Servers were friendly. Food was cold. Average cold burger and heavy crusted fries.
Server asked. We told her food was cold. They made it right. And were professional and apologetic. It happens. We will be back…

Started out bad ended up not so bad.
Came here the last night in Florida with 6 of us. Called ahead of time to see if we needed a reservation. They said yes and took it. Show up and hostess gets defensive and says no one told her. Goes inside to talk to whoever and comes back equally as defensive and explains it’ll be 20 minutes until we can even put food orders in, but were welcome to sit down and drink.
Fine. Server approaches us and says it’ll be 45 mins until we can put our food in and says he told her that.
Ok. Fine.
The good: French fries are breaded. That makes them pretty bangin’ crispy. Oysters were big and good. Wine pours were heavy. And, ha, while we there a band was setting up. We were right in front of them so we were anticipating losing our hearing, but they ended up being an 80’s/90’s easy rock cover band. And low and behold an hour later there were dozens of middle aged, white pants and tropical shirts dancing away in from them.
It was amusing.

Absolutely horrible! The upstairs bartender was rude and pretentious… avoid at all costs!!! Never go here…
They serve Guinness out of the bottle too, so bad

Great time! $ 1 pints on Wednesday nights and the conch fritters are delish! The staff is super friendly and nice big flat screens to catch a game.

Flatbread was crispy toast that toppings fell off of!!! We have had same flatbread before and it was awesome!!’ Debbie the manager took it off our bill which she should have but in my opinion she should have comped the shi@@y pickles too! We drove 75 miles to go here and very very very very disappointed we probably won’t be back!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday with my sis and was seated inside right away since there was a wait for a table outside. It took about 10 mins before a waitress came to our table but she was very friendly and apologized for the wait. We ordered two margaritas (a little tart for my taste), and a blackened mahi sandwich with fries and the Cajun peel and eat shrimp with Cole slaw. Since they were busy, the waitress let us know ahead of time that there would be a bit of a wait on the food, but she also would check in with us periodically as well. When the food arrived it looked amazing. We split both and I have to say, we wished we would have gotten fries with both. They were ah-​maaa-​zing! The peel-​n-​eat shrimp were good, but for the price you pay, I was expecting a bit more shrimp. The blackened mahi sandwich was really really good. Fresh and yummy! The blackening seasoning was really good on it too! Definitely coming back here next time I’m in the area again!

Great location, but the food was eh. The place is right on Flagler Ave, very close to the beach with a large deck where you can eat or drink while you people watch right on the main street.
Unfortunately the food wasn’t the best. The ceviche was extremely spicy, which was unexpected because it was not stated on the menu. The tacos were pretty bland without much seasoning. I did also have the coconut shrimp, which were probably the best thing out of the three items I had.
Overall I would probably come back here for a drink and sitout on the deck, but wouldn’t come back for the food.

Nice large patio and an extensive menu. Everything we tried was tasty. They also offer Kona Castaway IPA on draft which is a huge bonus! Only complaint is the service is hit or miss.

Great atmosphere! Terrible service and food. Ordered appetizer and it took 45 minutes to arrive. Had Nachos ordered extra chicken… It was not there. Tasteless nachos!

Terrible. Gross. Fish and chips are triple fried and fish was dry dry dry!!! Small tartar can’t even help this poor piece of fish, at least I think it was fish?! Great location but chef need s a lot of help. Our waitress was great.

Great place to grab a burger, have a drink and enjoy the big open porch when you are visiting the beach. Everything here was solid from the drinks to the service to the food. We ordered the fried conch, stuffed mushrooms, and poke bowl And thoroughly enjoyed everything. I would highly recommend it here for lunch or dinner. All in all a great beach side place to grab a bite.

I was looking for a spot with great local seafood and asked some hardcore Unilocalers for help. I’m glad I asked about the place, because it looked like a brah-​infested hellhole from the street. A local steered me here with the excellent advice of going upstairs for a quieter experience. The seafood was very tasty — I especially liked the local shrimp. They had some creative cocktails and a small but good beer selection. My dining companions who don’t share my love of sea creatures enjoyed their food as well.

Always a great meal. Friendly waitress and bartenders will definitely return next year when I’m on vacation

Our first visit here. The restaurant was redone a few months ago and looks fantastic. Staff was friendly and quick though our reservations were messed up they made ample accommodations for us.
Drink menu was very good. Dinner menu was a good selection of fish, burgers and sandwiches. fish and chips were very good. My bride had rock shrimp, she enjoyed them with plenty left over.
Definitely worth stopping in!

I stay up the street at the Hampton often so I love how it’s just a quick stroll down the lane&the beach is just another couple blocks down.
Great vibe. Awesome menus. Reasonably priced. Friendly&Fast staff. I’ll be back soon.

For a third year in a row we stopped in for lunch. We were actually curious to see the end results from the recent renovations. Last year the owner was explaining everything they were planning for the next year. Well I will have to say the place looks amazing. I’ll

The staff is spot on. We stopped in twice this week and had a different server on each occasion, they were both friendly, well versed in the menu as well as what was being served on tap and they both could speak to the difference between the beers.
The food was awesome, as it always is. We started with the cracked conch as well as an order of crab cakes and the onion rings. All three if the appetizers were served hot and in a timely fashion.
Our next round included the mahi-​mahi sandwich and fish and chips. The batter on both sandwiches was lite and well seasoned. Just enough to coat the fish.
This is our go to place in NSB every year when we visit from up north. We actually rank it one of our top 3 in this part of the state.

This is probably the most rounded spot on Flagler Ave, the perfect place to spend the evening, it has a little bit of everything live music, dancing, a huge bar, great food and exceptional service. This always seems to be the place where the locals and the tourist hang. We can’t wait for the renovations to be complete the new upstairs accommodations will really set this place apart from most of the restaurants /​bars in the area, like most place here in NSB the mix of people cover the entire spectrum and it works, there’s never a doubt everyone is here for the same reason to relax and have fun.
If the bar gets a little to loud for you they’ll be plenty of places to grab a table on the restaurant side to enjoy a great meal in a quieter setting but still only a few feet away from the party. The menu is filled with a wide selection so whether you’re craving seafood, burgers or just a snack from their large selection of appetizers the food will be excellent and consistent, we’ve never been disappointed. If you’re looking for a good time with a true beachtown atmosphere you’ve arrived.
