The pizza is the best I’ve had yet since they have opened! The pizza is not undercooked or overcooked! It is literally spot on! The service from the staff is nice but they are way understaffed! The food keeps coming out as needed and is great but not enough people to keep up with the tables! The only reason I give it a three star is they are understaffed tonight!

Our family was unbelievably disappointed with the food, service, cleanliness, and atmosphere when we are there tonight. If zero was a possibility that is what we would use. There were dirty dishes and chicken carcasses on almost every table! There were 5 – 6 actual patrons there otherwise empty place! The manager was openly discussing employees, time cards, workers work ethic. There were no new pizzas, lettuce, dessert pizza, and the ice cream machine was sputtering! I will never go back there again.

Our family met at Pizza Ranch in June for Father’s Day buffet. We knew it would be busy on a special day such as Dad’s Day but we were not impressed at how they handled getting customers in and seated. We gave our name and were told that they would call us when our table for a party of five was ready. We stood in line for over 20 mins while tables that had been vacated by customers remained full of dirty dishes and not cleaned and prepped for the dozens of customers that remained in line waiting for a table the entire time we were in line. They were obviously understaffed and overworked. Finally, after about a 25 min wait in line we were able to get a table. The food on the buffet was snatched up very quickly on such a busy day and many of the salad bar items were empty. The staff did not keep up with the demand. The same for the chicken, potatoes and pizza. I tried three different times to get some cheesy bread and each time the tray was empty when I returned to the buffet line. The set up of this particular Pizza Ranch is crowded and the buffet area does not flow well. The traffic of so many customers has you constantly bumping in to one another. None of the food we encountered on Father’s Day was cold, overcooked, not done etc, but they were very slow and inefficient in keeping their buffet stocked on such an important day when the dad’s were out for a meal in their honor. We will NOT return here on any special occasion such as Father’s Day. We have also eaten at this same Pizza Ranch other times of the year, and each time we have noticed they are very slow to refill pizza, chicken, salad, potatoes etc when something is empty or gone. Customer service at this Pizza Ranch does lack compared to other Pizza Ranch locations we have dined. We will perhaps give this Pizza Ranch another try, but not on any special day such as Father’s Day. They do have a nice meeting room for large groups if you call ahead and reserve.

Awful owner. Wish we could do zero stars. Used to go with our very large family every time we visited New Ulm, but we will never go back. Will be in New Ulm next week, which made me think of our horrible experience last time. We purchased about 15 buffet dinners that night. We needed to bring a pizza home for someone, so at the end of our dinner, we ordered one with Canadian bacon and pineapple. It was a dollar plus cheaper at the time to order it this way rather than order the«Sweet Swine.» Well, it was rung up as a «Sweet Swine» so we had to go back to the table to get more money, not a huge deal, but we decided to ask why we couldn’t just pay the two topping price. The owner rudely and demeaningly told us that we would get less toppings on our pizza but if a dollar is such a big deal to us, we can our dollar back. Then, in front of us, he called back to the pizza maker to take toppings off of our pizza! We were shocked. Heard this owner is also a pastor somewhere! Again, just awful!

New Ulm Pizza Ranch is the greatest. Always fresh salad bar. Good variety. Lots of good stuff on the pizzas. Tasty chicken. Friendly service. And the owner isa nice guy.

I am a big big big big fan of Pizza Ranch. I have been to New Ulm twice in my life. On Dec. 11 I made my third visit. I was treating my buddy to lunch, and upon spying Pizza Ranch we opted for it over Perkins. We can eat at Perkins here in the metro, you gotta go out to the fringe areas of the metro to get Pizza Ranch… still. :( The pizza was good, the chicken was hot and fresh. We dined with the Sunday lunch crowd, so it was pretty busy. Although the pizza was up to par, the selection and availability was lackluster each time I got up. I’m use to more variety and better availability whenever I’m ready for a hot slice of pie. As for the chicken and potatoes, the chicken was indeed excellent, but there were less items available in this area than I am use to. It’s a small serving table, suggesting they never has as many varieties of potatoes and sides to choose from. And where were the chicken finger? Good thing my buddy Cosmo wasn’t with me, he’d have pouted. Salad bar was fine, I didn’t try the soup. As I said, the food was decent, but the New Ulm location wasn’t up to my expectation for overall variety and service. If I find myself in New Ulm again I won’t pass it up, but I wouldn’t rate the New Ulm location the gold standard.

Hodang, do I looooove me some Pizza Ranch! On a visit to my dear friend who lives in New Ulm, we decided to have lunch at the local PR. The only other one I’ve ever been to is out in Ortonville, MN. This was a nice treat, as the PR reminds me of going to the cabin with the family. Where else on this fine planet can a person get BLT pizza and a scoop of mashed potatoes?
