Toppings Frozen Yogurt

What a needle in a haystack. We were in the area, had some time to kill, so we grabbed some frozen yogurt. Typical machine fro-​yo and there wasn’t anything spectacular about it. The place is really nice and big, so that’s a plus.

My wife and I decided to take a break in the middle of a very hectic day and since it was blazing outside we figured some fro yo would hit the spot. Our usual place is Hoopla in newburgh but since we were nearby we thought we’d give Toppings a fair shot.
To start, the place itself was very nicely decorated and had a great ambiance, very frozen yogurty. The selection was great too! Things were looking up until we wanted to do the thing that everyone does at a frozen yogurt joint: do some sampling! We looked around for the little cups but couldn’t find any so we asked an employee. He came out from behind the counter with a stack in his hand and as we reach for them he pulls back and says in an almost defensive way, «I WILL get it for you»… What??? The vibe was killed… Do these people not understand that running from dispenser to dispenser is an integral part of the frozen yogurt eating experience? I understand that they’re probably trying to save some pennies but to treat me like some
sticky handed child just did not sit well with me at all. Why would I show loyalty to a business that shows no trust in me?
Might seem like a small thing, but it was more than enough to send us right on back to Hoopla where the sampling cups roam free…
