Wow whoever owns this place should be banned from New York. Their listing from seamless got removed because of all of the fake reviews they submitted for themselves. Well… there just happened to be a «new» restaurant that popped up on seamless called Abumi Sushi and it also has over 2005 star reviews in a few weeks. It just happens to have ALMOST the same exact address. It is 209 E 26th vs. 207 E 26th St. These people are horrible. Please call seamless and get their asses removed.

You know those times when you go out and say to yourself that you’re not going to really go looking for a new box to munch on, but then you see one that catches your eye and knew you would be going down on it anyway? Well, this was a tasty new box that I bumped into and had to take a few bites — I could not resist. Hey, I’m always looking for a good Bento Box lunch deal and this one seemed pretty decent for only $ 8.50. As it was a bit past lunch hour I had the place to myself. It is a tiny restaurant but clean with a bright and cozy décor — a few tables, small sushi bar counter, brick walls, and even mock trees on them. Kind of a fun setting. My Bento Box meal was pretty darn good. Was it the best box I ever munched down on? No, but they all can’t be amazing. Still, this made for a nice cheap lunch deal. Miso soup tasted good. My box came with decent shumai, ok California rolls, nicely cooked white rice, crisp salad, and a nice hunk of teriyaki salmon cooked just right with a few fresh veggies. Just the right amount of teriyaki sauce on it, and not swimming in it as some places do. I’m not a fan of going down on a gloopy box! Service was pleasant, and the whole meal with a soda came out to a little less than $ 11. Definitely a fair price and would go back again. Man, I see a lot of haters here who have reviewed this place so far. Most of them seem to be about the Seemless Web delivery problems. I did hear the machine announcing a bunch of orders when I was there, so I am glad I actually went there to eat. My guess is that you don’t order your box to be delivered but better to munch down on it there!

Can’t say anything about their rolls because I didn’t get it. I had eel over rice. Their potion is very small, not worth $ 10 but the rice was very flavorful. My friend had the chicken katsu and it was twice my dish size so I end up eating some of her food. I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 is because student gets 10% discount.

Don’t know how this place got 5 stars on seamless web… The $ 14.95 dinner bento box was nothing special. Came with 5 pieces of nigiri, a california roll, a weak iceburg lettuce salad, miso soup, and rice. Acceptable, but certainly nowhere near spectacular. Also ordered the tempura red bean ice cream– sounded great, tasted meh. Will order something different the next time I stay late at work! I will say– the delivery was quick though– I work over 20 blocks north and several avenues over from the restaurant, but everything was delivered in less than 30 minutes of my order.

Newish spot in the hood, but really, if you give it a chance, I think you’ll find it offers some pretty awesome sushi. I have to give this place 5 stars, because I honestly probably eat here 2 – 3 times a week, if not more often on some weeks. The best things on the menu are the Unagi don, the snowcrab naruto roll — make sure you get it with chili soy sauce, the vegetable tempura roll, and the alaska roll. I really like other rolls like the dragon roll, california roll and spicy tuna roll(not too much mayonaise). I used to travel out of my way to eat at places like Takahachi and Airyoshi, but really, i’ve been finding myself frequenting this place more and more, and once Chimi notices that you’re a regular, that’s just how you’re treated — like the diamond in the rough that we all are. This place is just like people, there may sometimes be a longer wait than usual for food, and the sometimes you order something that is not exactly how you thought it would be, but more often than not, my tastebuds are always satisfied and my belly happy when I leave this place.

very bland rolls… no spice whatsoever in the spicy tuna roll, and no jalapeño spice in the green river roll… yellowtail scallion roll had no scallions! i’ve had better sushi from the deli at the grocery store. also, delivery was SLOW… i was quoted 25 – 40 mins, and it took 1:15.

TERRIBLE. Please learn from our experience with Chimi Sushi. We waited almost 2 hours for our food to be delivered, which means that our sushi was warm, our soup was cold, and the gyoza was soggy. I first called Chimi when it had been 1 hour to check on the status of our order since their page said it would take 25 – 40 minutes. He said his delivery guy was five minutes away. 20 minutes later I called back, and was told the delivery man was one block away. 10 minutes later I called back, asking for a discount/refund and was offered 30% off my next order and was told that the deliver man was in the building. 15 minutes later, when the deliver man had still not arrived, we called Chimi once more, asking to simply refund our money/cancel the order. He said that the delivery man would give us cash back for our whole order, we could have the food, and 30% off our next order. 5 minutes later the delivery man finally arrived, said he would not give us the 75 dollars cash unless we wanted him to take the food back. He called Chimi who agreed. So… we paid 40 bucks(after the $ 35 he gave us back) to wait two hours for soggy gyoza, tepid noodles, and warm sushi. Had the food been the right temperature and fresh, not having been outside for an hour, it may have been mediocre/decent. But, I would stay on the safe side and not order here.

Chimi chimi cocoa pop, chimi chimi rock… Seamless-webbing some sushi up for a late lunch, I probably should have been a bit more wary of the low prices on this menu. For $ 13 I scored miso soup, edaname, salad, 6 spicy tempura tuna rolls and 6 eel avocado rolls. I guess the strangest thing was that the edaname was $ 5 of that price tag. The rolls themselves were alright, though I would not call the fish«fresh» when it smells fishy. Both were bland and had to be soaked in soy sauce to be edible. The miso was tasty, I liked the little chunks of tofu though some of the seaweed pieces were a little too mushy if ya know what I mean. Service was quick and friendly, but Chimi proves that age old adage true: you get what you pay for…

What I remember about last night*: 7 pm — gonna be a late night at the office. Craving Sushi. Highest rating on seamless and estimated delivery time of 20 – 40 minutes. «he is on his way. 10 more minutes.» «he is on his way. 10 more minutes.» «he is on his way. 10 more minutes.» An hour and 45 minutes later my spicy tuna, yellowtail jalapeño and seaweed salad arrive. Girl who answers the phone is unable to articulate a reason for the absurd delay. *I became faint and suffered memory loss due to my prolonged hunger.

I love this place. I’m so shocked that nobody Unilocaled this place yet. I actually found them because I was searching Seamless Web which is a website that tells you the restaurants that deliver around your neighborhood. SO actually, I haven’t been there yet but i order from them all the time and they are great. The food always taste fresh and the price, you can’t beat it. They are also very good with service and they try to accommodate you in every way. Just try them once and you won’t be disappointed at the food. I really love the spicy scallops. YUMMYTOMYTUMMY!!!

Ordered the Chirashi. It was average tasting. It was not bad but nothing worth really writing about.

A great new sushi place in the Murray Hill neighborhood! It opened in early 2011 in an inconspicuous spot but that is easy catch cause of the swirly bright sign. It’s a very small place good for casual eating with a whole range of menu. When I was there it appeared to be a bit understaffed since there was just one guy there handling both the cash register and the kitchen area. I think he was making the sushi too. I like to get the regular sushi rolls before I graduate to the fancier house rolls so I tried out the salmon mango roll(yay! hard to find mango rolls anywhere) and the yellowtail avocado. The rolls were great! All the ingredients were very fresh and the rolls were big and fat with big chunks of juicy fish. I am very satisfied with the quality of the sushi and the speed of delivery. The server/cashier/sushi chef seemed eager to please and introduced himself and told me it was a new place just recently opened. I can tell this will be one of my favorite take-out places around! Only thing I can complain about is there was a pungent oily stench in the air when I walked in and I would have walked right out if I were there to sit down and eat. Hope this was just a random occurrence, as it would be a pity if this place would have no dine-in customers.
