My son showed up for a Mother’s Day trip in NYC looking raggedy. After the Statue of Liberty/​Ellis Island tour we consulted Unilocal and walked straight over here. Excellent cut for $ 15. No waiting. He looked great for the rest of the trip!

Just went here for the first time based on great reviews. Early Saturday morning and I was the first person there. I met Beck who was very friendly and asked enough questions to know what I wanted done. Just a clean, sharp fade. It was quick and efficient. I have been going to another place for years so was a bit nervous but glad I found this place. Small old school place in the lobby of 11 Broadway. Thanks Beck!

Artemis is the best! I always book my appointments with him as he does an amazing job and has a good eye for the hairstyle that fits your look/​appearance. He is also a pleasure to talk to and makes the whole experience more enjoyable. The price is also incredible for the quality of the haircut. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

I’ve been getting my haircut here for about 8 years. I primarily get my hair cut by Nadia or Levi — the best part about this barber shop though is that quality control is excellent. A few times I’ve not been able to get there when either Levi or Nadia were there and the barber I got was able to give me the cut I’m used to. I don’t have a difficult cut but you’d be surprised at how other places would have a wide variety of interpretations.
I became a customer when I worked downtown by the now defunct AMEX. Since then, I worked over in Brooklyn and in Midtown but I still come here because it’s the best and because of the consistency across the staff.

Best barbers around. I come from Jersey City to get a cut here and prices as fantastic along with the skill and detail that goes into every cut.
This is not those kind of shops you wait hours on end to get the right attention. This is a well oiled machine of a Barber Shop. You’re up as soon as it’s your turn. You can also call ahead to get an early jump. Levi the lead barber is always kind and friendly.

Living downtown for 3 years, 11 Broadway Barbershop was the only barbershop I’ve ever been to get a cut in NYC. This was before and after Sandy and whatnot as well.
I used to get cut on the weekends and Nadia was always there to cut. I used to give them a call, see if the wait is long or not, and then just walked over to get my cut. She’s a very nice person and I’ve had no issues with my cut ever (tho I don’t ask for much).
Over the years, I’ve also had Russell, Levi, & a couple others cut my hair too and have not had any issues. These guys also renovated a year or so back and always are busy — clearly they’re busy for a reason.
For $ 15 a standard cut, you can’t beat that.

Highly recommend. They accept walk-​ins. Great cuts, thorough and dont skimp on details to get you out of the seat like some other places. Price is very reasonable. Everyone is also incredibly friendly.

My boyfriend raves about Lev and how accommodating he is all the time. Lev will squeeze him in early or stay late to fit my boyfriend’s schedule and he has been a loyal customer for 7 years. Give Lev a shot for the best haircuts and shaves in Downtown Manhattan!

I’ve been coming here for years now, these guys run a great shop. I’ve been to two other barbershops in my time working in FIDI: the guys on Pine butchered my head and the Battery Park shop is way too expensive. Here I never have to wait long and I always leave with a quality cut at a fair price. When I changed my hairstyle last year my barber had no problem with the request and nailed it on the first cut, and every one since then.
All the barbers seem to have a good rapport with their customers, and they change the layout every so often to keep the place running efficiently as possible. The massage chair is appreciated, as is the TV, for the few times that I’ve had to wait more than 5 minutes to get a barber. These guys understand the business and put a lot of work into providing a solid experience for their customers. Best spot in FIDI.

Perhaps I am unlucky, and perhaps I should have paid heed to one of the bad reviews and warnings for a particular Benny. But I just got the worst haircut I have ever had, and even created a Unilocal account just to post this.
I had wanted to just tidy up the sides and back — and keep the length of my top — and even showed him a photo of the intended haircut. And he began by parting my fringe to the side and snipping away the fringe in accordance to the contour of my sideburns. That is just an epic fail. And I just realized while typing this that my side burns are uneven. How do you even cut hair if you cannot even ensure sideburns are leveled? It appears that the rest of the barbers here are stellar, but please– keep clear of this Benny guy.

Best barbershop in the financial district! This hidden gym is in the lobby of the 11 broadway building by the bull. Lev and his whole team do a great job. I have had my haircut by every barber there and everyone has always done a great job. Tony has been cutting my hair for awhile now and I couldn’t be happier. My hair is the best it has ever looked! Highly recommended.

Other than a buzz cut, STAY WAY… unless…you want something other than what you asked for.
After trying to convey to the guy that I wanted it a different way, and he wouldn’t listen, he proceeded to cut off twice as much than what I asked for. At this point I told him it was great so he would stop touching my hair and I could get out of there.
I then went home and re-​cut my own hair to fix the damage he had done. I would have been better off buying clippers and craft scissors and cutting my own hair from the start. Not only would it have been cheaper and looked better, but it would have been what I asked for.
Dear Barber,
Stop being stubborn and start feeling ashamed for giving me a haircut was not what I asked for.
I won’t be coming back,
