I’ve been going to Blue Chip since it opened well over 10 years ago. They take appointments which makes it easy for me who is always on the go and if you need a haircut and you don’t have an appointment, they will do their best to fit you in between appointments. very easy to get to by train and I would not go anywhere else. The owner has been serving the Wall Street community for about 20 years and many big shot financial people get their haircut at Blue Chip. I highly recommend getting your haircut there!

Wonderful salon, great price — can’t beat it in NYC. Luba knows what she is doing, $ 70 for a root dye and cut. Friendly, professional, and clean — this will be my new standard salon.

I’ve been getting my hair cut here for years. While the place is certainly not a «Manhattan spa» where you’ll get fanned with a palm frond while sipping cucumber water (I imagine that’s what they do in spas), Alex is one of the few people who can cut my hair and make it look good (difficult because I have a big noggin). The prices for men’s haircuts are very reasonable, and the service is always prompt. If you want Alex (or anyone else by name) you do need to make an appointment, but there’s usually a spare chair for walk-​ins. There is a steady crowd of wall street people getting their haircuts, but the place offers other services as well. Don’t let the New St. location or the old-​school décor fool you; this is a solid joint for a haircut.
