Best… frozen…yogurt…ever! I must admit, their toppings are not as eclectic as Frannies in Ridge Hill. But their frozen yogurt is simply incredible and priced the same as the other places (in fact, I typically spend less here than at red mango and leave much more satisfied)

Love 16 handles, all the frozen yogurt options –16 … and all the toppings! From fruit and granola to many candy toppings. This location is spacious and with a lot of seating. As all the locations I’ve been to service is friendly, quick and helpful when people want samples. Always clean.
I usually end up with far more than I can eat because I want to have at least a little taste of so many different types: caramel is one of my favorites.
There are also a handful of non dairy options for people who have dairy allergies.
A lot of kids /​families visit this location.

Sixteen Handles gives you a large option of toppings and fro-​yo flavors. It has
a reasonable price. When I first encountered 16 Handles I saw stars in my mind, realizing that frozen yogurt is almost better than ice cream and ice cream is pretty good. 16 Handles makes your food part of your brain open up in a good way. I still go to 16 Handles today and I never regret a second in my life going there. It’s love at first bite!

As far as FROYO goes in NYC, 16 handles is by far the best. This ones is nice and convenient if you are in the area. You can tell the yogurt used is of good quality and has not melted and re-​frozen. There are not any crystals forming and it is full of flavor.

This location was crazy but efficient, offering help and smiles with their solid roster of flavors.

We get delivery from them from Grubhub. It was over and hour and a half late. When it arrives it was soupy, and missing a lot of topping it should of been 8 with each yogurt which would of been 16 but all I received was 6 items for both yogurts.
We called and we got an Attitude about the frozen yogurt! And that they wouldn’t refund anything! They just lost 2 customers! Totally bullshit attitudes from their employees tonight!

16 Handles is more like a nightclub than a dessert place. There are at least 3 – 4 huge television screens in the «dining room» area, the music is pumped up to volume 100++, and there are crazy colored walls, chairs, and decorations. Personally, I don’t need to go to a nightclub to enjoy my yogurt, but the fro-​yo more than makes up from the overly intense ambiance.
The fro-​yo is much more unique than other fro-​yo places in NYC. They have their famous nutella fro-​yo as well as irish mint and tons of amazing flavors. The toppings bar is HUGE with every possibility you can imagine.

16 Handles will always be my favourite frozen yoghurt place. They have such a huge variety of flavours, from fruity to chocolate-​y, and they absolutely nail most of them. The yoghurt is so creamy and decadent, and how can I ever resist the huge toppings bar? It’s dangerous.
If you go to 16 Handles a lot, sign up for their rewards card — you’ll get a free cup of yoghurt once your points fill up.
The only thing that I don’t love about this location is the service. The people who ring me up most often look absolutely miserable and usually don’t even spare me a glance. It’s not a huge deal to me though. I’m here for the yoghurt, not the small talk.
Just a word of warning: don’t come too early in the morning, right after they open up — the yoghurt is often not fully frozen and will come out watery and gross in your cup. Also, avoid this place in the late afternoon, especially during the school year. It’s always completely filled either with high school students around the area, or with small kids and their nannies.

This place is seriously filled with kids. I’m not quite sure if it was the time of day, but during the half hour I was there kids were coming in and out. There was a line, but the staff did an efficient job making sure everything was running smoothly. Great selection of choices!

Amazing selection of frozen yogurt. They rule. Expensive but once in while it’s worth treating yourself

My favorite location used to be 6^th Avenue between 11^th and 12^th Street. It was sad seeing that one go. But in general, the other locations are good. I like the little seating areas, which are creative and comfortable. In particular the one on Bleeker street.

They have 16 different flavors at all times, but I always make sure I have at least a little Euro Tart in my cup because it’s just so perfect… Their toppings are always fresh and plentiful, so hard to choose from so many
The place is nicely decorated, and the staff is awesome and pleasant. I love sitting back on their couches/​benches along the wall, people watching while I enjoy every bite of my fro-​yo selection of the day.

I go out of my way to hit up a 16 Handles every time I’m in New York. This is probably my least favorite location because the worker that rang me up looked absolutely miserable. Girl, you could have a much shittier job than working at a delicious and beloved froyo place.
The froyo itself, however, was excellent as always. The creamiest of any DIY froyo place I’ve ever been to. They didn’t have my favorite liquid chocolate crunch topping, but the froyo is so delicious that it can hold its own without any add-​ons. 16 handles is everything Yogurtland wishes it was. Now if only they made their way over to the West Coast…

The fact that this place is so close to my apartment does not bode well for my waistline.
I’ll admit; I’d always been a loyal Red Mango fan and quietly boycotted all other froyo places because… well, I don’t have a good reason other than brand loyalty. I only decided to check out 16 Handles because a friend wanted to come here. After dinner on a Monday, we came for dessert.
They have TONS of unique flavors with bizarre names; all were very delicious! As is true of most froyo places, they provide little condiment cups for you to sample a flavor before committing to a pound of it (What? Doesn’t everybody eat froyo by the pound? Anyway…) The flavors I tried were birthday cake, graham cracker, cookies and cream, and something to the effect of butter pecan; every one of them was DELICIOUS! They also had tons of toppings too, including things I’d never seen at a froyo place, like rainbow cookies and waffle cone pieces!
Again, as is true of most froyo joints, they charge by weight. I can’t speak to the prices because when I went, there was a promotion going on. But judging by the crowds on a Monday night, I’m guessing the prices are okay.
I love froyo. And now, I love 16 Handles.

I went here last Tuesday. This place is very cool on how it is set up. There are a bunch of frozen yogurt choices; so much so that I was a bit overwhelmed. I finally decided on a Peanut Butter and Pistachio combo worth rainbow sprinkles and hot fudge. It’s actually much more delicious than it sounds.
My friend had a magical coupon and was able to get his and mine for less than three dollars! Pretty sweet! We decided to sit outside on the solitary bench because it was really loud in there.
The frozen yogurt was really good and helped in rectifying the crappy day I was having. I would definitely visit this place again.

This is basically my favorite place. Ever. I live less than a block away so in the summer I basically come here for dinner because yogurt is totally healthy right? At least this place always has a great mix of sweet flavors like salted caramel, toasted marshmallow, and graham cracker along with the fruitier «healthier» flavors like green apple sorbet (SO GOOD), acai berry, and coconut. The topping options are great with anything you could ever want from any type of candy, cereal, fruit, or legit full cookies or giant pieces of brownies. apparently this is the hangout on a friday/​sat night for middle schoolers/​early highschoolers so its best to avoid those times if you can

Good price, good topping selection, good selection of froyo. Overall, a decent place to get froyo.

This is one of the locations that’s more filled with screaming children than annoying 90 pound girls that just came from the gym, so it depends on which group bothers you more to determine whether or not you will enjoy your experience here.
I am able to block all that out once I get a free sample cup and get to trying all the flavors, so I don’t mind much. In terms of the actual yogurt, toppings and service, this one is just as good as all of the others. One thing you can’t deny about 16 Handles is their consistency, not just in appearance in most cases, but in their product and their execution.
One different thing about this one though is that they also sell fresh baked cookies for some reason. I haven’t tried them, but I feel like a better idea would be to get some yogurt here and then go two doors down to Insomnia for some likely better cookies.
There are a ton of good choices for dessert around here, but this is a great one for something healthier and just as satisfying.
