GNC

My go-​to for my Quest bar satiation. I sneak out of work every couple of weeks to walk down a block to this GNC and get a box of 12 bars to snack on at work. The staff is friendly and always greets me with a smile and helps me with whatever I need. I’m too cheap to become a member, so each box comes out close to $ 27.

I am giving this location three stars due to the two hot muscular guys that work there who also happen to be very knowledgeable and offer great customer service.

I asked the sales lady if she could unlock the case to get me the 60 count bottle of my supplement since the only ones not behind a case were 120 count bottles. She asked me why, tried to upsell me, to where I said, no, I’ll just take the 60 count. Then she says, I’ll give you the bigger bottle for the price of the small. Well OF COURSE I say, YES! Get to the register, and she rings me up. As she hands me the receipt to sign, i see a charge for a $ 9.99 gold card. I explain I didnt want that, and she tells me this is how I was able to get the discount, and looked at me like I was silly for not wanting this. The discount was $ 10, so there was absolutely no savings at all for me!!! I was so so so angry that this woman deceived me and charged me, ran my card and asked me to sign for something I never agreed to purchase. I immediately asked her politely to refund the card and get me the small bottle that I had originally intended on buying.
GNC management should be ashamed of the upsell tactics they use. I have been in other retail locations and I have always been approached by sales people who are trying to upsell me, but this was flat out fraudulant. If you do choose to shop here, be sure to review the items on your receipt carefully. I on the other hand will be across the street at Vitamin Shoppe.

My favorite GNC in the city. I think the smoothies here are cheaper than at the other GNCs I go to. The staff is friendly. There’s never that long of a wait for a smoothie.
*(Minus 1 star) The cashier was kinda rude to me, complaining that I want the rebate (it was gold card week) and it was holding up the line. I gave her my info for the rebate before she rung me up, but she didn’t do it right, so she had to go back and do it again. It was her fault though. She definitely shouldn’t have been rude about it. And she was lucky I was so patient (as well as the customers behind me :))
