High Point Deli

A Deli is a Deli. This one has a special place in my heart. I always know it by the De LaVega painted out front. My favorite inspirational street artist. They have since added an enclosure and you can’t see the art work from the street any longer. If you go in you can see it hidden behind crates etc. They added a screened closure. Maybe they’ll take it down some day. I’m just glad I took these photo before it was covered!
Naturally you know I love this place. It’s open ²⁴⁄₇! Be careful with pricing. You might get something elsewhere for less during the day. BUT if you have that need to be out all hours of the night (insomnia) you’re covered. Besides its a good place to pick something up on your way home from a night out or after a hard days work!

The young man who works there (the owner) is a thug and a liar. I saw him pay for drugs to some shady-​looking guy in the back room. Some of the foods are past the expiration date and some of them are rotten. When I confronted him about it, he cussed at me and told me to F off because he will call the police. NEVER GO TO THIS STORE AND HELP THIS GUY MAKE MONEY! He is a crook! I WILL REPORT HIM AND THIS STORE!

Pretty sure the cashier was making up prices based on what it looked like I could pay. Guessed wrong too. I would rather walk one block and pay the same price for 3 times more product.

It’s everything you’d expect in a 24-​hour deli with a surprising selection of craft beers. Good for any last minute necessities.

Decent bodega /​deli in my neighborhood. Usually just stop in there to grab some milk or eggs. The do have a decent craft beer selection and a really nice flower selection on the outside. Small selection of fairly fresh fruits and vegetables inside too. Usually stop by here on the way home from work when I want to pick up some flowers for my girl. Otherwise, not much different than the multitude of similar places on the UES.
