I’ve been here about 5 times or so, and it’s always been good food but this past Saturday(7⁄5) was atrocious. Maybe it’s my fault for going on a holiday weekend! Anyway, my party including myself was 4 people, and we all ordered off of the brunch menu. One got the bagel/lox and enjoyed it, one got the corn beef hash and said it was okay. However, I got the turkey burger and it was disgusting. It tasted like twice cooked meatloaf. It was a small, yet incredibly thick patty, more of a ball! It was disgusting. The other member of my party got the crab cakes which had a hair on it. To the server’s credit, he got him a new plate and took it off the bill, but the second set of crab cakes were cold. The people next to us were complaining about some part of their meal being lukewarm, indicating that it had been left out and was probably full of bacteria. Maybe it was because it was a holiday weekend, but it was terrible and I’m embarrassed to have brought people here. Although the other times have been okay, I think I’m done!

I absolutely LOVE Johnny Foxes. I come here usually once a week. If its not for their $ 14 brunch(2 free drinks) its for take out. Their food is great and their bartenders are lovely. Super nice and very attentive.

I’ve been living in the area awhile now & this is a bar to come to watch a game, grab a pint and relax. Food is bar food, but decent. Staff is good, and there is a blend of locals and etc

Please Read: The owner asked if we would like a table. We replied, «Yes.» As it was a GIANTS football day! Problem was the table he offered had NO view of a TV playing the giants game out of the 10 TVs they had; I explained that I couldn’t see the Giants game from the table he was offering. He sarcastically commented that I could not see the ten TVs in the bar. I informed him that the only game I want to watch is the Giants game! Needless to say we left and took our lump some of cash to Another local bar.

From the outside, it is another«Irish» bro pub that litters the Upper East Side. However when you enter(at least on the weeknights), it has the trappings of a neighborhood bar. I come regularly for the Monday night wing specials, which have spared my kitchen from my attempts at cooking many nights. I deducted one star because they overcharged me the last time I was there. While they took it off, I’ll wait until my next visit to give it 4 stars.

If you’re looking for the perfect sports bar, then Johnny Foxes NYC is your answer. Basically, it has even more than just the whole package — aside from their tasty food, and great drinks, they have AWESOME drink and food specials. From $ 3-$ 4(real good) beers during happy hour to Craft Beer + Burger specials for $ 12, to brunch specials less than $ 15 that include 2 drinks(!) and to the best part: 50 cent Wings special on Mondays! Wings, beer, and sports; who doesn’t love that? The service is also excellent, as well as the location and the venue.

Went here to watch the World Series Service and bartenders were great. However I did notice that the captain Morgan was not that. It was a cheap version of rum. Not a fan of bars that switch out premium liquor My wife also had Disarano which was also a cheap amaretto. Both these were in original bottles, so I don’t think the bartenders knew. Again a little disappointing.

I stumbled upon this place the other day while out with a few people. Great Happy Hour $ 3 beers and $ 5 margaritas are worth the trek uptown. Drinks are on the stronger side and bartenders are so friendly. As for food, you can’t go wrong with a specialty hamburger, try the Atomic burger which is topped with smoked brisket or the bacon infused squealer(because how can you go wrong with bacon!!!) While it is a little loud, it is a bar so its kinda what you’d expect– plus the service is great even during happy hour. While I wasn’t there for football it seems like a good place to catch a game.

Wow, actually i’m very impressed. I happen to walk by the other day and I figured, «hey, why the hell not…» Loud. That’s it. lol. But it’s a bar so it’s to be expected. However, I was really happy that I stumbled in during their happy hour. $ 4 for beer and $ 3 for bud/miller and other domestic beers is not a bad price, especially in the Upper East Side. In either case, the bartender was really nice and he took care of me. Their beer is fresh, cold, and most importantly, NOTFLAT! I’m a beer snob and if the beer is flat, I won’t pay. Solid place for beer. Their food is regular bar food, but really tasty. Had the burger. Not bad at all. The fries were salty and crunchy. All in all, a place I’d come visit over and over. Thanks guys!

OK, I’ve gone to this place twice so far. The first time I went was almost 2 months ago, and I went for brunch. The Bloody Mary’s had a decent amount of alcohol, but the mix was lackluster at best. It could have just been an off day, so I’d have to try it again to know for sure. The Caesar salad I ordered had black olives in it. Anyone who’s had a Caesar salad pretty much anywhere, including a hole-in-the-wall or even found splattered on a sidewalk, knows that Caesar salads do NOT come with black olives. The menu did not even mention these olives, so I spent my brunch trying to pick through my salad. I went back to watch some football a few days ago after Stumble Inn proved to be overcrowded yet again. The bartenders were great. One bartender must have overheard me saying, from afar, that I want my next beer to be the pumpkin ale, as when my husband when up to order, she poured it without him formally ordering it. Now THAT’s talent(they either have ears like nothing else, or they’re psychic, which, either way, I see a branding opportunity here for Johnny Foxes)! I only ordered beer this time(no mixed drinks), so I can’t yet redeem my mediocre Bloody Mary experience. But if you want a beer and a place to chill, this makes a great neighborhood spot during football season.

Dang, I wasnt expecting the food to be this good! Definitely a great place to get your burger fix. I came in and tried the Atomic Burger and was wowed. It was an incredible experience– my taste buds are still thanking me for making the choice of trying Johnny Foxes the other day! The service was great, didnt have to wait too long– and I was seated almost as immediately as I had entered(with a group of four). Definitely a great way to start off a night!

I went here for a HH on a Thursday night and it was exactly what I was looking for. Not crowded at all, the drink specials were awesome($ 3 domestic beers, $ 4 imports til 8pm), and there was plenty of seating. I cannot really speak on behalf of the food, since we all drank our dinner. Definitely a solid HH spot if you want to chill, drink, and shoot the sh*t with friends.

This used to a good friend’s go-to after work spot until he moved away and I stopped coming in as well … been a while, but the other night a few of us decided to sit outside and munch on apps and enjoy some drinks … Now I wonder why I stopped coming! MOSCOWMULE … that’s all I have to say! But to the chef, I do ask … why did you stop serving the yummy curry sauce with the fries? We asked for it separately and got it(thank you!) but why? So good! Definitely puts foxes back on the radar — especially since doc’s got rid of all my fave bar tenders :’(

**Pretty much food only** (yes, I had a beer with dinner… but it was Friday night… isn’t that a given?) After beginning the bar hop on an empty stomach, the need for some good pub food arose. Somehow, the first 5 bars we stopped into didn’t have kitchens???(C’mon Upper East Side… get your head in the game) Anyway, we ended up here with the sole intention of gorging ourselves. Well, the chipotle burger definitely did the trick. I also was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coleslaw — definitely better than most places/diners. Service was pretty good, we were a group of 4 and still were seated after a very short, 2min, wait. Food orders arrived within 10min(thank god, we were starving). Based on the other reviews, we might have just gotten lucky… though I’d like to think it’s because we were an attractive bunch. Nevertheless, decent all around. Had I gone here to drink, I might have taken the ridiculousness of the clientele into consideration; however, it really didn’t affect how my burger tasted, so I’ll spare you the bitching, and simply leave you with the forewarning that if you do choose to patronize this establishment, you too might be forced to look at twenty-somethings dressed in outrageous leopard-print outfits.

The bartenders are so friendly here! They saved my experience! The downside is the food. The food needs a SERIOUS overhaul. I only tried the wings and chicken caesar wrap(both staples in my diet) but that’s all the proof I need. The fries were tasty, though! The décor was cozy and its actually a pretty decent size bar. Although there were a bit too many Christmas lights up still for this time in March. I would come back just for drinks, but I’m not a fan of bars where I can’t order food :(

Came here for brunch on a sunday. The place was pretty packed compare to other places around the area. They have a pretty good deals for their brunch. Each brunch entrée comes with two drinks and each price around $ 15 dollars I had the steak and fries. The french fries were pretty crispy and good. But the steak was overcooked(I asked for medium rare) and dry and hard to chew Pretty decent screwdrivers. Terrible service… After our second drink, the waitress just disappered while we were trying to pay. We waited like nearly 30 mins Dont think i would be back again

We walked into this establishment on a whim during a hot and humid day looking for a cold refreshing beer. It worked out in our favor. We sat down at the bar and only intended on getting a few drinks, but ended up ordering curry fries as a snack. They have tons of beer on tap, and make a pretty decent bloody mary. The bartender was an older Irish woman with an adorable accent. She tended to us immediately and was super nice. The curry fries were pretty good. The curry was good, fries were nice and hot. After having order curry fries, we were then surrounded by amazing looking burgers. They also offer a great brunch deal, in where you get to choose an entrée and 2 complimentary drinks for only about $ 11 — $ 13 which I thought was well worth it — especially in this area. The prices are standard. The atmosphere is a typical pub kind of atmosphere, and can attract an interesting crowd during the day. While I don’t think I would return because of the variety of restaurants in the city — this isn’t a bad place and I would recommend it to somewhere in the area looking for any of the above.

Yup, another bar along 2nd Ave on the UES. Have been here many times over the years. It’s actually a nice place, but nothing fantastic that makes it stand out. There are so many bars around here that are on equal footing with this place. You can jump from bar to bar around here and the next morning feel as if they were all the same place. What they do have is a pretty good selection of beers on tap, lots of seating inside, flat screens everywhere, a back patio area, and outside seating in the front. There are also lots of beer and lunch/dinner specials daily. Happy Hour Monday-Friday 11am-8pm $ 2.50 Domestic Bottles $ 3.00 Domestic Drafts $ 4 Cosmos $ 4 Well Drinks $ 4.50 Glass of Wine They also have a decent brunch deal on the weekends. Saturday & Sunday For Brunch 10am-4:30pm $ 11.95 Includes Two Complimentary Drinks — nice! Overall, the food is ok and the selection of beer and drinks specials are really good. The one major drawback to this place is the service. It always seems like a battle to get the waitress to pay attention or to get your drink refilled. Slow service does not make me a happy boy! Especially when I am thirsty! 2 stars for the waitress service 4 stars for the beer/drinks/food options and specials A solid 3 star review. Would make it 3.5 stars if I could for the outside seating.
