Good location from the Hilton Midtown. Convenient one day turn around time for dry cleaning my suits, ties and shirts. Did good job on the dry cleanings.

Came in because my zipper came unhooked and this was the closest cleaner. They charged me 10 dollars for a job that took 3 minutes. Let’s hope don’t have more zipper emergencies! Definitely won’t be going to them for help!

8.95 pants are annoying, but I still haven’t found much better nearby. They remedied the shorts problem and have been very consistent since. Expect 2 day turnover in store, add an extra day for pickup/delivery.

Turnaround is super fast. The price is a little high, but fast an good service compensates . Another solid choice for a spot on top of central park

I went there couple of times since I moved to the neighborhood. Dry cleaning is good, but not better then in other places for much cheaper . They pick up and deliver your laundry but … They just ruined my new expensive Frette linens. It’s was clean before I send it to laundry(just new, I always wash new linens before use) and when I got it back it’s was stained with something greasy and it was some kind of rusty(or bloody) stains on them . And I forgot to tell about prices for laundry — it’s 1,50 for pound. I don’t mind to pay it for delivery and laundry service, but unless my staff were clean . Another thing — once they dry cleaned the sweater which can be just machine washed without asking me. Of course they charged me for it.

Well priced, fast, and conveniently located. Staying at the Parker Meridien which was charging $ 10 per item! Conversely, J’s charges only $ 10 for 8 lbs. Moreover, if you drop off your items by 10am, you can get them back that evening for only $ 2 more.

For those that say J’s is pricey, let me point out that there is a sign on the wall that says something like; «The bitter taste of poor quality remains much longer than the sweet taste of a low price.» Yes, J’s is a little more pricey than similar competitors in the area, but they are very much worth it. $ 1 dollar extra to clean and press my shirt is better than trying to save that dollar and having someone ruin it. I also suggest making use of their tailoring service. For about $ 100 they made my $ 600 suit look like a $ 2500 dollar suit. Same with my shirts. They really do impeccable tailoring work and they handle my garments with an almost personal care. Highly recommend.

Lately I have been having a major problem-it’s called semi-ruining all of my favorite new items of clothing! Its traumatizing. I have also had a few bad experiences with a certain eh… hem… dry cleaners that I have already reviewed. If I have normal office attire dry cleaning that I want done quickly, relatively nicely, and affordably, I will take it there. Now LADIES-how many times have you worn that new amazing dress out and you get a stain on it that makes you lose sleep at night?! I have 2x in the past month and J’s has been my savior. Incident 1: NYE. Stupidly I wore my new black and white silk paneled Helmut Lang xmas present to myself out to party. I woke up the next am and ran to the closet to check it, and behold-a strip of what looked to be coke and something down the entire front, spanning the beautifully folded pleats and seamless detailing. I brought it to my normal cleaners, then got nervous and went and got it back and sent it to J’s. The owner(adorable lady with a lovely smile and cute short hair) looked at it and told that honestly that since it had a combo of fabrics, the black might run onto the white(nightmare) and the stain may not even come out. 3 days later I go to get it, and voila, the stain is still there… if you look at it under innnntense light from the side with your nose to the fabric. Amazing. Helmut Lang was saved. She said it would be pricey, but 25 bucks is well worth it. Incident 2-Wore a new cerulean blue Amanda Uprichard(i you don’t know her you should, great dresses) silk dress to a low key fashion week party and out to drinks with the girls. Same deal, was looking it over and there was some sort of makeup on it. Still a little hazy from the night before, I rubbed(lightly) on the fabric to see if it was just deodorant, then held it up to the light and realized I started to pull the fibres, thus creating a small hole. Amazing. Took it back to that lady, who must think I am a total mess, and she once again managed expectations and said she might not be able to get it all the way out, or help the hole, but they would try. 3 days later, the stain is gone, and the hole is still there, but tiney tiny. 15 bucks ain’t cheap to clean a simple dress, J’s is a miracle worker. If you have anything you care about-take it there, shell out the cash, and don’t worry!

Just moved into the area so will be using this place for my occasional dry cleaning needs. First time around — did a good job with about a 2 day turn around. They are pricey though, charge at least $ 1 dollar more to wash press a mens shirt, and I suspect if I brought them alot of stuff to dry clean especially womens dresses and blouses my bill would be quite steep.
