Best coffee around. Also most pretentious. And I mean that in the best NYC kind of way. Expensive coffee is not always great coffee. This is. They also offer a number of amazing teas. When I work in the neighborhood, this is my go to. The line will always be shorter than Starbucks. And the will handcraft my coffee with great care.

I’ve been here a few times because I have a coworker that always cons me into it.(She loves the salads). The salads are good. Here’s the weird parts. You hate coming here, because it’s HORRIBLE customer service! The act like you’re an idiot if you want your change. Yes it’s 50 cents, but it’s mine. The act like your dumb if you want the bread that comes for free with your meal, & no one every tells you this, you should magically know. Or when you point out that they now give you 50% less tea free with your $ 15.00 pre-made salad. You have come here 10x times before you realized they had a stamp card. They just suck SO bad!

Came here to study and get some work done in the morning. There are lots of small individual tables and also a big commute table. Wifi is fast. However, I didn’t see any outlet(hence –1 star). Latte was good. Had the chocolate croissant which was meh.

If your looking for a great place to go study, this is your spot. There are two levels in this coffee shop– the upstairs is for talking, the downstairs for studying. They don’t play music downstairs either. The coffee isn’t the best I have had, but it’s better than average.

I love a lot about this place, but … arrrggh — stop screaming at me that my coffee’s on the bar! It’s ready — I get it, and I’m coming. Anyway, great location, great seating options, good veggie lunch options … a lot to like here.

Yawn. Stopped in yesterday, guy who took order was nice. Spent no less than 10 minutes looking for any sort of creamer, ½ and ½ that was not skim milk. By the time, he found it, we had to reorder our coffees as they were cold. They could have cared less. Too worried about being, or thinking they are, hip and cool, to actually care about their customer. Oh, and one guy went to ask about his sandwich he had ordered, the response? «oh, it’s been sitting here. Like they couldn’t have called it out. Yawn. Not again.

I’ve been meaning to try Kaffe 1668’s coffee for months as I heard its one of the best coffee shops by my work area. However, being a loyal Starbucks member, I’ve never ventured here, despite Kaffe 1668 being across the street from me. Long story short, I wish I came here earlier! It looks like a tiny coffee shop, but looks are deceiving; it’s pretty spacious with communal seating inside. Great service too! They don’t only specialize in coffee, they have a menu of tea options too for the tea lovers! I ordered the mocha. It was the best mocha that I’ve had; it reminded me of the mocha drink I loved in Seoul. Definitely coming back! For you Starbucks lovers, the prices are comparable, maybe a little cheaper, so spend your coffee money here instead. They even have stamp cards.

Cute little café, ambiance was great, latte tasted amazing, the Greek yogurt tasted so healthy, but it was kind of pricey($ 6). Lighting can be improved, it was very dark at the back, I needed to keep my laptop on in order to read. But the sheep theme was definitely unique and attention grabbing. Staff looked a little annoyed and unwelcoming, but overall good experience, great coffee, will be back.

1) Ask for nick 2) Ask this«nick» about why his coffee is so damn special 3) Sit patiently while«nick» explains the ephemeral and often perplexing nuances of a careful selection, roasting and preparation process that he has committed every inch of his being to perfecting. *don’t open your smug coffee guzzling mouth hole. 4) Quietly reflect on your own 2 dimensional life and wish you could be passionate about anything anymore… «what happened to me?», «when did I stop caring about things?», «Why did I ever stop writing? I used to LOVE writing!». «I should return that burberry swim suite, it’s DECEMBER!» 5 stars, solid coffee, will be back.

ADORE this coffee shop! Consistent lattes with beautiful artwork whether to-go or in-house. Their sheep décor is so clever. There are sheep everywhere! More importantly there is free wifi throughout the coffee shop and outlets scattered around the seating. The wifi password is «ilovesheep». Good internet connection here. They offer almond milk and soy upon request. They sell their own coffee beans here. They close late past 8pm. Super clean bathroom and more seating is available downstairs if you can’t find a spot upstairs. The lighting is a little dim but I didn’t mind it as I was there to relax and just have a little pick-me-up. I don’t think its too dark where you can’t work especially when you have the great wifi and comfortable seating. But I’m sure someone out there will deduct a star because of this :)

I love Kaffe 1668! There are sheep EVERYWHERE. The espresso drinks are great, and they sell coffee beans as well. Try the latte — soy and almond milk are both available. Wish it was a bit less expensive, but prices are in line with any coffee shop in NY. It’s comfy and airy, and there’s a lot of seating upstairs and downstairs, with a super clean bathroom, as well as free wifi and outlets. They close LATE, past 8pm most nights. The aesthetic is everything you look for in a coffee shop, and it may be far if you’re not in TriBeCa, but DONOT underestimate the ½/3 train because you’ll jump right down to Chambers St from 14th/6av.

Stopped by this charming café in TriBeCa for a mid afternoon pick me up. The cappuccino was strong and adorned with lovely latte art. We found much amusement in the cute sheep décor. The wifi password is «ilovesheep» by the way. The lighting was quite dark so not sure how easy it would be to do work or read in there(although I saw patrons doing both). Seating was easy to find which isn’t always a guarantee in New York! There were a good amount of people in the café but not overwhelmingly busy.

Kaffe gets a 3.5 stars vote from me. The staff seem to be a bit pretentious and I prefer having options for flavored coffee. There are no flavored coffees offered here but they can make a mean latte. There is only one option for size for the house coffee. I have to say the coffee here was very good. A smooth blend and not bitter. There is a self serve area to add simple syrup and milk. The seating area is communal and very cutesy. Great spot for meeting friends but not necessarily reading as it is dimly lit.

I’m not much of a coffee drinker so this rating won’t do much for those who are. However, I can tell you that their blueberry scones are super bland and have no flavor. Their workers also suck at being nice — she had no customer service skills whatsoever. My bf did order the latte macchiato and complained on how it wasn’t hot enough — it was just a warm temperature.

Cute décor and no fuss coffee and tea. The inside is filled with sheep, but there is limited seating on the first floor. They have a downstairs, but when I went there last Sunday, it was blocked off. They serve no nonsense beverages like latte, flat white, iced tea and don’t have the sugary drinks that places like Starbucks have. I got the cold brew iced coffee and it was great. I definitely don’t drink black coffee, but I like cold brew because you don’t need to add sugar or too much milk to it.

This place deserves a five star for its cute décor! Sheep everywhere! The place has plenty of tables for personal use and huge communal table for sharing, though lighting is a bit dark. Now to the food. I got an iced latte and matcha biscotti. The iced latte was good but not the best I have had. However, from the taste I can tell the quality of ingredient is good. The biscotti sounded tasty but was just okay. Overall I’ll like to come back again and try their brews(that’s how you can tell the coffee is good) and maybe some other baked goods. Not a cheap place — my medium drink and biscotti was exactly $ 8 in total. But people working around the are probably won’t give another thought spending the money.

Best Coffee I have ever had. No wonder it is rated as a top Coffee shop in NYC. This café is somewhat out of place given its location nestled in by all the financial companies. It gives off a hipster vibe which you can clearly tell by the people who work there and the indie movies they have playing all the time. The coffee is unbelievably tasty it does not even need any sugar because of all the flavor it has. I also got a raspberry biscuit which was delicious! This café is great to get a cup of coffee, take someone on a date, or see some trophy wife’s during the day. *beware it is not cheap, but I think it’s worth it

A fab café to get creative/work or meet friends. Two floors of different sized benches and tables from 2 tops to large community tables. Wooden tables and benches with. fluffy sheep… Yes countless sheep add to the character of this great café. :) This is not Starbucks … they do not offer syrup flavors or vente sizes, but the Beautifully designed foam tops on lattes and cappuccinos, friendly service, warm atmosphere and interesting(sheep) décor make it a great café.

Strolled in for a late night tea and coffee. It was nice and quiet and the decorations were adorable. Little sheep on shelves, what?! Also has a huge TV screen. Got the chamomile tea and hubby got a wonderful Ethiopian coffee black. They have amazing individually brewed coffee. It was the best coffee date ever.

Latte! I love fluffy things. So it’s coo that there are fluffy sheep lined up all over. I also love wooden tables. So there. It’s a win-win.
