My 3 year-old nephew’s birthday was in two short days, and I needed to find someone who could make a cake that could feed 30+ people — oh, and that looked like a train! I called several bakeries and they all pretty much laughed at me on account of the tight time line. But when I called Making That Cake, the owner(and cake creator), Angela, assured me that she could get the job done. Sure enough, when I dropped by the morning of the party, the cake — or should I say incredible locomotive and car full of gold — was boxed up and ready to go. This thing was amazing — and the kids loved it. My nephew was practically entranced by this work of art. Of course, that didn’t keep him and his pals from digging in, and I’m happy to report that Angela’s creation tasted as good as it looked. All told, this was one of those rare experiences where a last-minute need for a unique service was met with an unexpectedly high degree of professionalism. Angela saved the day and helped me make my nephew’s birthday an event that I believe he’ll remember for a long time to come. I highly recommend.

I’ve used Making that Cake for two baby showers now and I’ve been very happy both times. For the first shower I ordered pie pops and cake pops and both were absolutely delicious. I ordered a nautical themed cake for the second shower and not only was it delicious but it looked absolutely adorable as well. The prices seemed fair for the kind of work she does and everything was delivered on time. I’m pleased and I won’t hesitate to use her again for events in the future.

Recently ordered cake pops for my son’s birthday. She did an amazing job. They tasted great and looked even better. Couldn’t beat the price. Will order from her again and strongly recommend her to my friends.

I ordered a cake for my son’s first birthday after I saw their website. The website looked very nice and the cakes looked very nicely done. However, the cake was the worst one I ever tried. I had to throw more than half of the cake because my guests did not want to eat it. It was very embersing and very disappointing. Decorations were a –OK. For $ 130 you get 3 layers of a staled and very dry sponge cake, with 2 very, very, very, thin layers of the butter cream that is overly sugary. I will never use this baker again and would not recommend it.
