Fun place but careful when ordering a drink… they will add on additional tips on your receipt/credit card. Just be sure to check the amount charged the next day.

Went there on a Saturday night because one of my friends liked the DJ. The music was good, but way way too loud and I had dulled hearing in my left ear for several days after. Bring earplugs. Then there is the drinks issue. I ordered one drink, and it was very poorly made. The bartender literally gave me gin mixed with still water. I was charged $ 16 for this drink. Additionally, some of my friends tried getting waters, but were told they could only buy bottled water. Each bottle they bought was $ 9, and these weren’t your standard 12 oz bottles, these were the tiny 4 oz bottles. The next day, my friends all reviewed their bank statements and saw a huge amount of gratuity added to their bills. I checked my statement as well and saw that my drink’s price had been bumped up significantly as well. This is straight up illegal, fraudulent activity and I will not be returning to Marquee.

My promoter came out and grabbed me on a Friday night, we walked in around 1:30AM(during Memorial Day Weekend). The table we were at wasn’t too crowded, I didn’t purchase drinks so I am unable to comment on extra charges on my card. It’s a pretty large club for New York, so I did appreciate that. It was very aesthetically pleasing as well. I had a great time! BUT the bouncer of our area ruined our friends night, which therefore lead to her ruining our night. She went to the bathroom and when she tried to come back to the table the bouncer wouldn’t let her. So I needed to walk and grab her(which was annoying for me), it was a simple misunderstanding but I really wish it didn’t happen. Also, these two rude Indian guys outside needed to be put in check. I go clubbing a lot in various cities and I have never been so aggravated by what I experienced. They should have more security guards outside to minimize this issue. I can’t stand guys who think they are entitled and when you tell them off they start saying racist and degrading comments. I wish my night did not end like that. but overall I will be back next time I am in NYC.

Bummed to be giving this place only two stars but that is being generous. Came here to see Thomas Jack during a Gov Ball aftershow. The place was completely oversold to the point where you could not even move. The drinks are very pricey which wouldn’t have been terrible if half of them weren’t spilled by the mosh pit of people. Not worth the discomfort when there are a hundred other clubs in the city.

I came on a Saturday night celebrating DJ Mustards bday. He was a pretty good DJ too. As for the venue, it’s soooooo crowded and actually uncomfortable. I got free drinks so i couldn’t complain about any prices. The bouncers honestly don’t care who you are either they literally push anyone to get passed its pretty rude. Other than that I wouldn’t say this is the worst club but if I didn’t get in free I def wouldn’t have paid $ 60 to get in. Sooooo shoutout to my connect, lol

A terrible experience, I have ever never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life. On a Wednesday night I have work the next day, and I am not planning on doing an all nighter. But these people are just so rude. I have been all over the world, to the best clubs, in the word, from Paris to Moscow, NYC is NYC but telling someone $ 4000 for a bottle of absolute just to get it because your wearing a suite, and a random person from the street wearing Jean’s and a black T gets in for free with no(girls) no bottle is just wrong. I don’t reccomend this place. I don’t reccomend partying in this city. It is far over priced and over rated. Go to a local bar and meet real people, and not all these foreigners not worth it at all, it’s just a big joke. Stay away. Save your time from waiting online it’s just one big gimmic. And the club is not even full it’s just one big commercial tactic. Dont ever go here.

This club is by far the worst club I’ve ever been to. The outside looks like a worn down theater. The bouncers and security were so rude and shoved me in inappropriate places. Also there was a male security guard by the bathroom and at one point the security went in to the girl’s bathroom to tell some girls to hurry up and not loiter around, are you serious… They also admit way too many people in which causes a disaster in even finding a place to stand. The crowd contained mostly young adults dressed in jeans and sneakers so you don’t need to dress up nice for this club. This place is ratchet(there is no better word to describe this place) so you’ll get in with a v-neck, jeans, and sneakers.

Came here for their nice reputation in Vegas, but this place is sad. One of the worst clubs in NYC, avoid at all costs. The bouncers here are obnoxiously rude. If you want to get your night ruined, then this place makes the perfect candidate. Drinks are expensive and taste disgusting. There is literally no where to sit or stand and people were piling on top of each other. I don’t understand how they can let so many people in when there’s a set amount of tickets being sold. The pictures are deceiving, this place is no where close to looking like that in real life. It’s dirty everywhere and literally looked like the toilet broke down near the bathroom line.

I have attended Marquee for a few random events. The Questlove series of dance party events are cool that took place a few times. They were the special promotion from Perrier and it was a daytime party that gave you free alcohol and dancing for one hour. DJ’s I have also seen with the great sound system they have here other nights were great as well including DJ Chachi. Rappers were in the building the first time I was here Styles P and Jadakiss. A regular crowd here is not my normal scene. A crowd of abnormal people who dwell in a life I don’t know and they probably have a show on MTV4 almost like Jersey Shore type of show, fake celebrity, model or almost model rich people. The upstairs part of the club is great, come there if you can and enjoy some Chivas Regal by the bar.

Congrats, Marquee. You are officially the worst club I’ve ever been to in NYC. Lavo is right there with you but I haven’t officially entered the club to make that call yet. It really is a damn shame that some of the best DJs in the world are booked to play their music in this shithole of a venue. If you want to get inside, you will either have to sell an organ for their insane ticket prices, or suck up to a promoter and throw on a few pounds of makeup, tight bodycon dresses you can’t breathe in, and heels that’ll kill your feet before you even get past the coat check. I’m not sure how Marquee is like in other parts of the world, but going to Marquee in NY usually means getting dolled the hell out of your comfort zone. I’ve been here three times now – and I can’t believe I’m saying this – but the security guards and the bouncers are actually great and lighthearted. For some reason, the inside is a nightmare. The crowd is awful: model-type wanna-bes who believe they’re above all and make the effort to move you out of their way. We know how you really got in and you’re a number, so you can quit acting like you were comped because of your D-class elite status. The people at the bar are just ridiculous assholes.(By the way, $ 18 for a shitty cranvodka? Uh, yeah. Over my dead body.) Then there are the busboys who are probably on the same level as most of the crowd. I get that they probably take in a lot from the crowd most of the time, but putting your hands on me and pushing to get through is not acceptable. Oh, don’t even get me started about that one time when I had a busboy shove me because he pretty much charged at me to get through and I resisted. I think it’s safe to say that self-respect can be lost once you’re inside this club. People aside, the sound system here is among some of the best in the city, the best being at Space Ibiza. The book some of the best acts and I have never been disappointed with any of the shows. If you don’t have a table, your standing is very limited; most of the tables are roped off(the majority of the club), so it can be difficult to find a comfortable spot.

It’s funny, cause I was warned by multiple people that this place would be really crowded and uncomfortable, but nothing that was told to me would actually prepare me for the insanity that was Marquee New York. I came to watch Deorro play a show, showing up at 1030ish it wasn’t terribly crowded. I thought to myself that If this was the worst I could deal with it. I was sorely mistaken. By 11 my group was packed like sardines on the dance floor. No space for dancing, no space for drinking, just blindly standing watching the lights, but because it is a club, drunk people will still try to dance in conditions like this. Sardines cant dance so eventually a weird mosh pit kinda forms. Mosh pit + Nice club + dress shoes do not mesh very well. Now keep in mind that since Marquee is trying to sell itself as a high class club, men have to be well dressed. No T-Shirts allowed. Along with the strict dress policy, drinks at Marquee are way too expensive. 20 $ for an shot of Jameson, I can only imagine how much worse my wallet would have looked if I didn’t pregame. All in all, the venue is definitely nice, it just becomes unbearable after a certain time. Maybe they could do with removing some of the VIP tables and opening up the space a bit more. Drinks should also be a bit cheaper. Unless someone I really want to see is playing here, I doubt I would ever really want to return.

Who: Instagram famous biddies in fitted black dresses following around the worlds most sketchiest promoters in order get a free table. Young finance guys playing credit card roulette around a $ 1k bottle of vodka. Wealthy foreign men trying to mack on the drunk instagram famous biddies sitting at their free tables. Cranky peasant people who lost their buzz waiting on line for an hour who get pushed around on the crowded dance floor by confused drunk men. What: Most famous Djs will perform here. Impressive lighting. You will get confetti in your mouth at some point of the night. When: I suggest coming before midnight to avoid peasant problems. But if your not a peasant arriving around 1 – 2 is pretty standard. The club as a strong late-night crowd and starts forcibly removing people around 4.

Ehhhhhh??? Ehhhh. I wanted to like this place but sadly I don’t. The décor and everything was pretty. But everything else just went downhill from there. The crowd, the guys lets say reek of desperation. Lame pick up lines. Can’t handle their liquor, let alone whatever they were on. One way or another, weaving through people just to get away. Let’s be realistic, we are in a club. Not a good time to start a conversation. Drinks are overpriced. However, I am not surprised. Will not be back anytime soon.

I have been an avid patron of Marquee since moving to NYC and it used to be one of my favorite clubs. The atmosphere is classy, people are generally very good good looking and they bring in great DJs. However, I had a terrible experience the other night that both disappointed me and has ruined the reputation of the club in my eyes. What started as a misunderstanding over a drink order was blown out of proportion by the rude bartender. My bf ordered 1 goose and redbull and the bartender made 2, he told her we only wanted 1 and she made yet another drink, mishearing what he said. When we tried to explain the situation, she acted pissed off and annoyed and finally just started ignoring us. Not only that, she charged me for all 3 drinks. This is an unacceptable way to treat paying customers of any establishment. We tried to get her attention in a polite way since we weren’t even drunk and finally she snapped and got the bouncer to throw us out. We were in no way belligerent and we paid a great deal of money to see Eric Prydz that night. Not only did we not get to see the DJ, we were threatened with physical harm by the bouncer. There are a lot of clubs in NYC and if this is how you treat customers, I will be spreading the word and never coming back.

Two nights ago marks one of my many experiences at marquee nightclub and it will officially be my last. Tiesto was scheduled to perform and the start time was for 11pm(note-he didn’t go on till 130) Regardless of being first in line, myself and others were made to wait out in the cold. However, that is the least of it. I had my ticket but could not find my ID because my hands were freezing. I was told to step aside, which I did. One bouncer who was nice gave me his gloves so I could try to find it. The other, a monster of a man, started yelling at the bouncer who was helping me to keep going, that he was being to nice, and literally yelled f**k her. I have been going to marquee for years, for bachelorette parties, birthday events, etc. I’m a returning customer, not sure why this person felt the need to be so nasty other than this is his only thrill in life. I eventually found my ID, came back to the club(only to hear tiesto) and the nastiness continued. This time, by the waitstaff, who felt the need to aggressively push me(and others) if we were in their way. I understand maybe being overwhelmed w a large crowd, but pushing people, for no reason without even saying excuse me is just utterly disgusting. I will never ever go back to this place again. They treat people like garbage, not like people… why waste your money and time for such an awful experience… is something I recommend against. There are many other establishments where u can go in ny for dancing and good music. Do not bother with this place. I don’t know if it’s new management or maybe overwhelming egos-but DONOTBOTHER!

Trust me my opinion matters Marquee is a solid club to hit in NYC. Bigger than most clubs in NYC and usually has some big DJ playing. Drinks are your standard NYC club price of 20 a drink which sucks but they top it off nice. Crowd is a good attractive crowd but you will definitely find your standard ravers there as well trying to see the main DJ. I would go again but only for a special occasion. I went recently to see Eric Prydz. Peace from Doctor P

Marquee had a really sexy set up. The red carpet and velvet rope was a nice touch, I rarely find in ATL. The inside is perfect for the upscale EDM vibe. It’s a nice size, but still intimate enough for you to be left standing outside if you don’t know someone or reserve your spot. Lol just warning late arrivals because I made that mistake the first night. —Half of the main room is the dance floor. In front of that is the DJ booth. The other half is comprised of tables and a bar. The décor is legit. Real wood and plush leather coaches. I say this because I’ve been to some places where all you see is plastic and plexi. Oh, and ladies some of the sections have mirrors, so rest assure you should be able to take the perfect selfie ;-). If you get a section upstairs, you get to look over the entire club which is really cool for those of us that love to people watch. And of coarse, you have access to another bar and bathroom. Fun Fact: the bathroom attendant is really good about moving people along, so there’s not a line. In clutch moments, you will be ever so thankful for him. Additional Notes: –The line was starting to get thick by 12:00AM-ish(Saturday night) –MYRSVP was the concierge I reached out to. Very happy with experience. We got in quickly which is such an advantage when it’s freezing outside(…and you’re in heels). –They have coat check –Music is a mix between Top 40EDM –Pretty people, trendy outfits, high energy –Drinks are kind of high, but that seems to be the NYC standard. A fireball was a little outrageous though…

Absolutely horrible people who work there. We had bought tickets for a show weeks prior, and they explicitly said that we HAD to get there by 11pm. Well we get there by 10:30 and then 11 pm hits, we are still waiting outside freezing. 11:30 hits, still outside freezing. And we had bought tickets! Not only that, when they did finally let us in(note we were in the front of the line) there had to be about 100 people in there already, what the heck! Anyway, we were just happy to get in and warm up. We proceeded to the coat check where we were rudely demanded for $ 8 to check coats. I asked if they had change for a $ 10, and the woman straight up says«No» and gives us this«Yeah I just did that» look. Um, please correct me if I’m wrong. But $ 8 cash only coat checks means people are paying with $ 5 bills and $ 1 bills, especially if you are asking for exact change and I can see the dollar bills sitting in front of you. I had a good time because I liked the performer, but the people and venue sorta ruined it for me. I won’t be coming back unless someone I am dying to see is performing there.

This place is awesome. They have great sound system, great screen for visual effects, and 2 levels make it feel more spacious. A couple of stars for bringing class acts to NYC. Getting in was a breeze, the line moved quickly. The place was packed before midnight on Saturday, and only got more packed throughout the night until about 4am(props to those who stuck it out for Kaskade’s redux set to hear 4AM). Coat check took 30 minutes. I felt like I was stuffed into a can of sweaty sardines. It was miserable. Dancing was difficult due to being squeezed up against 4 bros in every direction. $ 20 for a watered-down rum and coke, and $ 5 for an 8oz bottle of water. Sound system was decent, nothing outstanding. I do have to say the lighting was on point, though. Staff was professional and accommodating. We left around 5am, and boy did that fresh air feel good. If you’re looking for your standard meatpacking club with a standard Manhattan crowd, look no further, this is it. Meh. Time to check out Flash Factory.

The only reason I went was because Armin Van Buuren was performing. $ 40 for a double patron, $ 18 for two bottles of water… Yeah, no thanks. The bouncers at the door were extremely nice and helpful but once inside, their vibe changed. Not that I can blame them because the crowd was pretty rude and poser-ish anyway. Super weird was this tiny man who kept crawling on the ground, pushing people around trying to collect empty glasses and bottles and trash. They definitely oversold the event because there was NO room to move — it’s an EDM event! I want to dance! I can also back this because the event was 100% sold out online and they said«in by 12:30 or you’re not getting in» yet they kept letting people buy tickets at the door and letting them in. Even when I left around 4:30am, they were still letting people in. Whatever, I’m going home. The sound system was TERRIBLE. Screeching mics, and the speakers couldn’t handle the bass or the vocals. It had the potential to be a nice, classy, intimate venue but it failed. However I did get to the DJ booth which gave me the chance to touch hands with Van Buuren which was a dream come true :) Can’t say I’ll never return but definitely am not looking forward to it.

In terms of crappy dance clubs in NY, Marquee isn’t all that bad considering the other options. Lines are long, covers are expensive if there’s a featured DJ or musical act, and the place isn’t all that big so it can get crowded. I wouldn’t come here if I had a choice. However, the most recent time I was here was for my company holiday party, which was pretty fun. Pretty good venue for events, though not very conveniently located.

Went to the Cedric Gervais concert and had great night of clubbing/dancing! Definitely recommend buying tickets in advance for the place since you’re essentially guaranteed entry that way. My friends who didn’t buy tickets in advance couldn’t get in at all and ended up going elsewhere. The space itself is a typical large standing room type place, can get too crowded at times. Beware the multiple creepers who try to force themselves on you as you’re dancing. But if you can fend for yourself, Marquee gets some great DJ headliners and you’ll have a great time dancing the night away.

Yep, everything I expected from Marquee. Big name, nice space, crappy experience. I came for an event which had over 600 people and there was not a single spot to move. Luckily, everyone at the event had a drink ticket that came with admission, however, if you’re paying out of pocket be prepared to drop ~$ 20/drink. Absurd. I’d expect $ 15, not $ 20. On top of that, the woman working the bathroom was screaming at all the girls in there yelling«YOUTIPME!» Woah there, here, take my dollar and calm yourself, woman! Oh, the music was horrendous too, but that also depends on who is DJing that night.

Buy your ticket beforehand. I’ve only been here when EDM DJs were playing. Mini line in the advance ticket line– I think you have to get in before 12:30am even with a ticket. If you come here with no ticket they charge like 40 – 50. There’s two floors but it gets super crowded so try to get to the front. It’s not hard to get to the front and if it’s gonna be crowded everywhere might as well be up and close with the DJ. Drinks are super expensive like any club in NYC. Four redbull vodkas costs like 80. Be careful when using your card– keep your receipts… some of my friends were overcharged. Bring cash to be on the safe side. The dance floor is ratchet. There are some not okay things going down there. I suppose this is true of other clubs but for reason I thought marquee would be slightly classier because $$$. NOPE. Ratchetness everywhere. People are lit af… turnt level like past 100. I recommend pregaming before coming in here or else you’re gonna to regret looking at your bank account the next morning.

Lines lines lines. The lines start at 9 for the opening at 11. We did that one night, stood in the line for 2 hours just to find out what the whole shebang was all about. $ 40 per head — cover charge. Whoop! Trust me, it wasn’t worth it. The music wasn’t too fancy, the food EXPENSIVE and a basic beer was way more than I would ever spend. It takes forever to get a drink and by the end of the night, you don’t know if you are tired because of waiting in line or waiting for a drink. Not a big fan. Not sure if I would go back if I had a chance.

Paid 20 to get in with my friends(but another group paid 40 an hour and half later). Was quite boring since the DJ played house music from 12 – 2:30 straight. I like house music but it is kind of hard to dance to(I’m more of an edm person). Anyway it wasn’t too bad when we went but at 1 it became packed. By 2 it was like sardines in a can! You can not move at all. The speakers there were also top notch. They were really loud almost as if they were meant for concerts and not club. My ears were ringing so much after I left. The DJ played house music and turned the bass on so high my heart was beating way to much I felt a little uneasy. Not sure how I feel about the place. Maybe I’ll visit when they have edm next time.

Warning: I am not at all a nightclub goer, however, I have a certain vibe for EDM music, so, here goes nothing. Marquee NY, I must say is my first upscale club experience. Only reason I came here was to see Tritonal on 1÷3÷2015. Being an avid newbie to this whole club concept of bottle service, club promoters, and the like, I decided to just buy the ticket online to get in. $ 30, not too bad right? That Saturday night, a couple of friends and I ended up waiting up in freezing rain for them to let ticket goers in. Apparently clubs love having people stand outside for a good amount of time to make it seem as if there are so many people inside the club that there needs to be a line outside. As much as to our prediction, there were not too many people yet inside. We proceed to the bar to buy a few drinks, and BAM, I ordered a Midori Sour: $ 16. Apparently, I’ve been hearing that water bottles are $ 7 and shots are $ 17. These prices are literally highway robbery. I bet most people don’t care about whatever the price is for drinks when they’re drunk, but seriously that is taking OD advantage of these customers. After that, we head back to the area where we’re standing and just start enjoying the house DJ. Obviously, it gets more crowded, but eventually Tritonal comes on. The musical experience was just absolutely phenomenal. I loved their set. In addition, Marquee’s lighting setup is amazing. You have to be there to experience it. However, with the amazing musical experience, just the overall venue(aside from the lights) were bleh. Maybe it’s because I’m not that much into nightclubs, but, I do give props to Marquee for getting big headliners to come. 5⁄5 for the headliners they bring. 2⁄5 for the overall venue. P. S. Dress up to par. They will not let you in if you don’t look clean and trendy. It’s also $ 2 for coat check, and a long line. I’d rather leave my coat in the car and be cold for a little than wait. Lastly, BRINGEARPLUGS. My ears were ringing for 24 hours after this whole ordeal. But, that’s a given with EDM artists.
