Morning Glory Bakery is a small Chinese bakery that I have loved for several years. Always fresh and always tasty. They thrive with an almost exclusive Asian customer base, so i can see why they’re barely a blip on Unilocal. But i leave diets for this bakery. Every bite is worth every cheat day!

Small and homey. The small cakes and buns are very authentic. Nice and fresh in the morning. Great bubble milk tea and slushy for the winter. A little pricey compared to other Chinese bakeries but it’s ok.

Asian buns here are heartier than the typical Fayda(which I still LOVE) but you have to get there before noon if you want anything!

This place is great! There are only about 5 seats inside, but it is the perfect neighborhood coffee spot. The breads, although selection is limited, are fantastic and always fresh. My fav is the coconut raisin roll and the egg and cheese is also very good. In addition, the ladies running this joint are great and know my order when I walk in. Definitely a great local spot.

Very dirty place with mice in the bakery. I had a very bad experience with the staff also .so mean and rude people, won’t even speak English …

This bakery is great! The staff is always friendly and treat you like a great neighbor. The bread and pastries are always fresh. They have a chicken Chili bun, awesome but only made mon thru fri. They are open 7 days and early hours which is good. You should stop by and pick something up you will enjoy.

Small shop with a limited assortment of Chinese pastries. The lady by the cashier spoke Cantonese, so I started to order with my broken Chinese. Reminded me of when I was a kid with my mom in Chinatown… But nevertheless the lady was very welcoming and with a bright smile on her face. Everything looked fresh, prepared, and made on the same day. From your pineapple bun, shredded pork bun, to coconut bun. I chose the tomatoe and cheese bun with a side of hot milk tea. Great way to start a cold Friday morning … Never had the tomatoe and cheese combination. Reminded me of a pizza but way lighter and on a bun. Not too salty, slightly sweat, yet very soft. I would come back here to try everything else they had.

Morning glory bakery is a decent chinese bakery on 63rd drive in rego park. It has all the essential breads, like hot dog bun, pineapple bun, ham and egg, dried pork bun, with some nice variants like curry bun and coconut raisin. The buns are allsoft and fresh, and individually bagged for cleanliness though i wish they’d keep them warm with a heat lamp. Pastries and cakes look nice though dont know how good they are. Coffee is so so, overalll prices pretty reasonable; 1.00 to 1.50 each. One of the ladies is not so nice though i dont think she realizes she’s being kind of mean and stiffs you on napkins. Others are nice. Would be a 4 star place if they had better coffee, steamed buns, warm buns, and if that not so nice lady could be more nice and not cheap about napkins. Overall, still. «A ok», and i am a repeat customer though i do visit their competition 2 blocks down.

I use to come here as a kid with my grandfather. My grandfather was good friends with the owner before she sold her bakery. It is now owned by a Hong Kong lady with a harsh attitude and takes her time on the orders. The old owner now works as the cashier. She still makes the drinks taste amazing. The bread on the other hand isn’t so great. All the bread is at least $ 1.25 now. It use to be around $ 0.90. I come here from time to time with my grandfather who loves having milk tea in the morning. I decided to try the bread, the first bite was completely awful. It was DRY and had no taste. It wasn’t fresh at all. It tasted like it was made last night and put into the fridge then taken out in the morning. I regret wasting my money on the bread. Never ever going to get any bread here again.

Thank god for picking up something at this bakery because we bought something at Broadway bakery close by and that was almost not edible. This place was much better and far fresher. Hmmphhh but I still can’t find the perfect to near perfect Napoleon piece. Mind you I have tried alot of different place but no dice so far. The search continues! Oh btw this place is pretty good so give them a try if your ever in the area.

Small clean café a stones throw from shopping at Marshall’s. The owner was very nice and was constantly cleaning/organizing things — really felt like she took pride in how the place looked. They have a good variety of patries /cakes /drinks(bubble tea and regular). Everything was delicious — I had a crème brûlée, which was a good size and very reasonably priced. Seating space is a limited 2 or 3 tables max. It would also probably be nice to buy some pastries/coffee here and walk over to do your shoping.

I should give them a 4 because it would be nice to have some of the buns warm(hot dogs, etc) but I am sure they would warm them up if you ask. Apart from that, the prices are fair, the place is VERY clean and the owner kept maintaining the hygiene while I was there and the two apparently mother and daughter team are very pleasant. It is at times rare to get a «thank you» from some of these places. Besides, there are few places where you can sit to have a warm cup of tea in that godforsaken 63rd Drive location which truly stinks. Go to Roosevelt Ave, Steinway St, Queens Blvd and there are places but not the heart of Rego Park. Thank you Morning Glory even though you are located in front of the elementary school that taught me nothing except for one teacher who was quite good. Went there again today, and they were super nice as always. Some products are a tad too expensive but they have variety so you can get what you want.

Been here dozens of time since before it changed it name. This bakery has been in the neighborhood since i was a kid. It renovated last year and now, its super clean, sleek and modern. Very nice upgrade! Love the little asian lady that works there, she is superrr SWEEET just like her baked goods ;) I come here mostly for coffee but I’ll occasionally fall into my sweet-tooth temptation. The prices are little more than typical chinese bakeries but it’s because there is no other one close by,

Morning glory makes really good tasting egg tarts, they’re a winner in my book. They’re pretty BIG for one too, MG doesn’t skimp out on size and flavor. The egg custard was so smooth and creamy. The crust was buttery and tasted like a really good vanilla wafer cookie. YUM!
