I gotta give it to this place. Moved to the area last year and the pizza is consistently good every time! They only take cash but even then it’s worth getting the cash out for the slice or two. Solid stuff !

Muzzarella Pizza is a classic Avenue A joint. The pizza has a thin crust, fresh cheese & great tangy sauce. Their slice is top shelf.

Pricey but decent pizza! Focusing on take-out, has a few seats; can be busy and packed, so be prepared to have someone literally in your face. Peperoni pizza very good, loads cheaper by the pie

Stopped by here after taking a Punk Rope class at the Y. I got myself garlic knots as well as a Sicilian slice and a slice with spinach, mushrooms and ricotta. The pizza is good: nice crust; tasty, with a fairly decent sauce. The garlic knots were doughy but not garlicky enough. Overall good experience and the next time I’m in the neighborhood and in the mood for pizza, I’d consider ordering from here.

Solid pizza in a convenient location. Great east village institution and solid late night pizza spot. Lasagna pizza is unique style, tasty and hearty. Great for winter late night snack.

Gotta give this place some credit. I’ve been here a few times(mostly stopped by in Saturday nights after the clubs close) and the staff has always been nice to everyone. It’s a very small spot, maybe only enough room to seat a handful of people. I’m a simple girl, so I very rarely order anything other than a plain slice. You’ll get a big slice here! And though I miss the days of pizza only costing a dollar, I would say it’s worth the price here. I don’t know the menu, but there are lots of different delicious looking things to choose from! Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area, especially after a night of… libations, as some of the other reviews have suggested lol

Love muzz for their classic slice but be sure you know how much you’re paying and ask about prices. Shady guy at the counter corrected my total when I realized a plain slice shouldn’t cost $ 3

A typical New York style pizza. The marinara sauce is fresh and sweet, full of herbs. The mozzarella cheese is spread out evenly throughout the pie, leaving enough crust to hold your slice. The dough around the crust is perfection to the crisp, yet fluffy, soft and chewy on the inside. Very simple and good.

Worst service I’ve ever had. I’m a New Yorker so that says a lot, GIVENTHATWE’REINNEWYORK! Despite the service and rudeness I ordered a slice. It was less than alright. Better sliced a couple doors down.

This can be the spot for drunk pizza, but they are rude and the pizza is not that great. I went after a bar with a friend and as normal drunk people we order two slices, definitely not the best, but we did our best to enjoy it. We tipped them and everything and because of their AC our napkins were blown everywhere probably about 5 napkins that were fallen on the ground, he called me out and told me to clean up after myself. I was shocked and so embarrassed. First of all your AC is blowing everywhere, second of all we tipped you and to do that is just so disrespectful. Definitely NEVER entering this spot again. Better pizza spot around the corner.

This place is a classic as I have been going here since college. I love their grandma slice and garlic knots. Can’t be fresh and delicious pizza.

I’ll keep it short and sweet this place has the best Sicilian pizza I have ever had! the crust is phenomenal I think they use grande cheese which is the best, sauce is incredibly flavorful the regular pie is very good too and they have specialty slices as well prices are moderate but for this Area of alphabet city and the lower East side, you cannot go wrong, it’s much better than a dollar a slice joints and not nearly as expensive as artichoke pizza up the block Plus there are bars galore right next-door, just left a star off because it’s small cramped place and not much of an ambience but who cares get it to go and get ready to embark to flavor country!

Great all around pizza place. You can pretty much rely on any slice here, especially when drunk. Plain slice is good, if maybe a little too pillowey for my taste, but good dough, nothing wrong with the fior di latte or the sauce. When I’m here late I’ll usually go for a ground beef and vegetable slice. They do something a little special with it I’ve never put my finger on.

Hell of a slice. The secret’s in the crust, which is thick, crispy, garlicky, and incredibly buttery. Many of the slices even have a half-inch-thick crust that’s almost reminiscent of a Chicago style. Costs a tiny bit more than the average slice at this size but it’s well worth it for the taste you get.

I’d give 5 stars if there were a bathroom on premises, otherwise the pizza is extremely fresh and delicious. Vegan slice with tomatoes and pesto is large and filling; add oregano to give a little kick. CASHONLY.

Omg, good pizza! Stumbled in here after mixing my dark liqours with my lights… what was I thinking? Thankfully two slices of Sicilian slices did me well. The cheese was great, a little salty, but not too much and the crust was a perfect thickness and was so crispy. I even made friends while trying to keep my balance! I’ll be back!

Disclaimer — I was not sober when I ate here. Had a slice of the mushroom and pepperoni. Satisfied my drunken need for salty bready goodness at 3am. It was fine, but I’ve honestly had better frozen pizza. My friend tried their«lasagna» pizza, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by it. I expected a messy gob of nasty but it was good and actually tasted like lasagna. Slices run $ 2.50-$ 3.50

Muzzarella Pizza is a great neighborhood pizza joint that has remained consistent for the past decade. While not a fancy place like Motorino or Artichoke, it definitely gets the job done! I always grab a plain slice or two after a night of drinking. It’s not greasy like those $ 1 pizza joints that have been popping up in the neighborhood. In addition to a classic plain slice, I recommend their white pizza, veggie pizza and their Jamaican Beef Patties.
