Really good tacos! The green sauce is very spicy– I liked the pork and chicken tacos.

I walked past this place and I thought it looked really cool — an authentic Oaxacan taco join with a small bar where you can belly up. When I came in I realized: 1) the counter was just a place to sit while you order takeout(it’s mostly a takeout joint), and 2) there’s noting really Oaxacan about it, it’s just a name to denote that it serves tacos. Having said all of that … I ended up sitting at the bar and chatting with the takeout guys, and the tacos were very good. The New York Times review said that the Carnitas and the Shrimp tacos were something superlative, and I will say I was quite pleased.

BEST tacos I have ever had!!! I had carnitas tacos. They were delicious! I can’t stop thinking about how good they were. The meat was seasoned perfectly and was so succulent and juicy. The pickled onions may have been my favorite part. I got my tacos with guacamole just for some creaminess. But everything was delicious! The only negative thing was the seating. It’s a little small with only maybe 10 seats. It was a little hot inside but the food made up for all of that. I loved this place’s food so much. I highly recommend it. It may be a little more expensive but it was definitely worth it. Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in town!

I went to the Hell’s Kitchen location for lunch. Keeping in mind that not all locations are created equal because the cooks behind the counter makes a big difference when it comes to preparing your meal. These cooks put together a meal that really surprised me. I ordered the lunch special(2 enchiladas with rice and bean for $$ 7.95. What I received is one of the best vegetarian papas and rajas(roasted potato and poblano peppers) enchilada that I have eaten in the last 10 years. I also had the horchata and a side of guacamole, salsa, and chips. Let me say, the delicious salsa had some«kick», the guacamole was very good, and the chips are crispy(I’ve had one to many stale chips from other joints in the city, so it’s a measurement of their quality as well). I would have left out a star because of the«lack» of seating. They are all diner counter seating and it’s tight. Also, it’s be nice to eat off of plates instead of holders made of papers. If you’re in the area, you should definitely drop by and experience their food. I’m already planning on returning their for lunch again!

This place is amazing! Their tacos taste like ones I’ve had in LA! The soft taco shells are super soft and freshly made, and the delivery time was fast. I ordered the one with the potatos and the one with the peppers, Both had a generous amount of filling, and two tacos filled me up. They also have enchiladas with an option of either mole sauce or salsa verde. Although I would have preferred for there to be a simple cheese enchilada option, I was pleasantly surprised at how the enchilada with the salsa verde tasted. They also pack the tacos and enchiladas in little cardboard trays so they don’t lose their shape, and everything stays where it’s supposed to.

Awesome choice near the theatre district. Flavors are super fresh. Always check out the specials board! I find the 3 taco combo meal really satisfying – I always order three different flavors. Their carnitas is especially good. It’s a tiny joint so don’t expect comfy seating – just counter stools – but it works.

Only ordered delivery, so I can’t speak to sit-down service. Though, they apologized for the wait, when they — I thought — arrived pretty quickly, so maybe that same mindset carries over to in-house dining. The food was delicious. I got the Al Pastor platter and it was flavorful with a great portion. You can definitely bring leftovers to work the next day. Definitely recommend it!

This is one of my new favorite Mexican places in the city! Everything has such good flavor, and the price is affordable. I usually get the 3 taco combo which comes with rice and beans for $ 10.95. It’s filling and definitely well worth the price. I’ve never eaten in, just ordered delivery through seamless, and my food has never come soggy. I’m knocking it down a star however because my order was wrong, but still good nevertheless!

I live a block away from this gem and never knew about it. I regret all the times I went to Chipotle(which is diagonally across the street from this place)… This place has really good burritos. Haven’t tried anything else from here yet but the carnitas burrito is where it’s at…

Just tasty and delish! Not really much room for dine in but stools and small counter made in enough to enjoy the tacos which you can make a combo for $ 10.95! The service yesterday was great and fast. I especially loved their Horchata. I’ll be back soon.

This little sliver of a tacqueria is a must try. Burritos and tacos are on point. Price is very reasonable. Seating is very tight inside.

Oaxaca in Hell’s Kitchen has terrible customer service. The food is tasty and it’s a decent enough spot to pop in and grab a taco, but the delivery and take out from this location has always been really poor. In my experience it has usually been a matter of timing, i.e. they’ll say an order will take 30 – 40 minutes and it actually takes 60 – 90. Or they send an incomplete order. Tonight I had dinner delivered to work and the order showed up incomplete. When I called to ask them to send the rest of the order they first put my on hold for literally ten minutes. When the person came back on the line he first said there hadn’t been a problem and accused me of calling the wrong restaurant, then told me they were«really slammed on deliveries right now» so «I need you to be patient.» It’s been 20 minutes since that phone call ended(30 minutes since it started) and the rest of our food has not arrived. I would probably give this place four stars if I only ever dined in because the food is tasty, but the delivery/customer service situation really is a train wreck.

Definitely in the mood for some cheap Mexican eats after grabbing some beers on a Friday night so stopped by this taqueria over some of my old standbys. Small place with some bar seating, but they do BYOB, which is nice while I waited for food(had a 6-pack in hand). For takeout: Carnitas Enchilada, Pollo Guisado Torta, and the Three-Taco Combo(Chorizo, Al Pastor, and Ceviche) — $ 27 total. Had the enchilada first: a decent starter, though couldn’t taste much of the pork shoulder. Tacos were next: the soft tortillas they used were very stale, so I ate the filling with a fork instead. I also felt the chorizo was too sweet(had to add a lot of hot sauce). Torta was last: large sandwich, didn’t like the bun all too much but needed to get the disappointing taco taste out of my mouth. Maybe I came during a time where the ingredients weren’t quite fresh — just didn’t enjoy my meal. With the other high quality options in the area I probably won’t try this place again.

YASSSSSSSSSQUEEEEEEENNSSSS! I love when I hit the jackpot with Mexican eats. Oaxaca is sooo yummy! I stopped by for lunch last week with two of my friends. The location is small(which is why i docked a star from their overall rating) but man oh man, this food was official. I had the chicken quesadilla. It was like heaven in my mouth. So tasty, so fresh, so.everythang. Would totally recommend for lunch! Their guac is also equally tasty as everything else.

Oaxaca Taqueria resembles a modern Mexico City eatery with its intimate setting amid a bustling metropolis and exquisitely crafted menu items that are served simply and beautifully, with fresh and flavorful ingredients. During a recent lunchtime visit, I was practically whisked to the Zócalo in D.F. in its bistro-like environment. The tacos I had ordered(grilled steak and chicken) were so expertly arranged on my plate that it was almost a shame to eat them, a lamentation that lasted only until I took my first bite. Lively yet traditional, the grilling was just enough that the meats’ flavors shone through. Garnished with onions, the tacos were also unexpectedly(and appreciatedly) accompanied by an appetizer of black beans topped with a sprinkling of manchego. The realization that such an exquisite lunch was available for the price of a chain-restaurant burrito makes it a no-brainer — and a certainty that I’ll be back as often as I can!

After Tehuitzingo Taqueria and a number of other excellent, authentic Mexican places, I felt skeptical about yet another Mexican place in the neighborhood. That said, its location literally across the street demanded my wife and I give it a try. I’m so glad we did! We ordered for pick-up. A petite hole-in-the-wall, you’d do well to keep an eye out, or you could miss it. As a new location, the staff needs to work on charming the customers. It was a slow day, and I probably caught them a little off-guard. I had the 3 Taco Combo with Rice and Beans, and my wife had a Quesadilla and a taco. The prices are very affordable. My tacos, Barbacoa, Al Pastor, and Korean(a special), blew me away. The fresh vegetables and well-prepped proteins blended with just the right amount of sauce and spice for each kind of taco. My wife’s taco, the chicken mole(also a special) equally impressed us. They cooked the pork quesadilla to perfection. The generous portions made me wish I got the lunch special, but I enjoyed trying 3 tacos instead of 2. All around, Oaxaca is the new taco king in town for us. I see a few tacos in our future.
