Patron Mexican Grill

It’s really not what it’s cracked up to be. I went to the restaurant for a bday dinner & it was a total waste of money. I ordered the chicken tacos that’s comes with rice and beans. To me the food was very bland I honestly didn’t eat anything but one taco. I gave this place two stars for the strong drinks and the Mexican corn. Oh and be prepared to be hot as hell, they have ceiling fans that doesn’t give any comfort it’s like a sweatbox in there

The drinks are great! They are not stingy with the alcohol here. It’s a great spot to grab a casual bite to eat and a margarita or 2. The shrimp tacos were really good.

I was there in the afternoon, killing time. They have an inviting entry and a big variety of music. The bartenders were doubling as servers, they were very nice. When I was there, all the customers were youngish women and everyone looked happy. The food looked very good, I sat at the bar and had a moderately cold Dos Equis Lager. The place was clean and I would have eaten there, had I not already had lunch!

Went during happy hour. The drinks were good. I would recommend this place for a cheap drink in the city.

My experience was great. The bartender was lovely and the atmosphere was captivating. The music that was playing was reminiscent of the culture and you wanted to move your body. The customers were friendly and the food was tasty as well. I will definitely be returning soon. Great first experience

Popped in at the end of a business trip to NYC. Great bar, friendly staff and good selection of drink!

This place was a small hole in the wall from what I can see, but the server/​manager was very friendly and helpful. He let us know he only works on the weekends. The drinks were on point and the food was even better. Will definitely be back here.

Today at this place, we ordered chips + salsa, and the waiter brought this plate of guacamole along with the chips + salsa. Later, the OTHER waiter approaches the table and says that the guy brought the guac without permission, and that she had to take it back. After we had already dug into it. So my question is: was she going to take it and throw it out or top it off and serve it to someone else? And to finish things off: they’re charging it to our account. Great restaurant management skills!

*** Re: the «manager»: Like I told the waiter: Really hope you acquire some customer management skills. An establishment is nothing without its customers, and no matter how good your food is, service is what keeps an audience. The food was good, but the service was terrible. I can see where it comes from though, if it’s a mere reflection of the management team. If you paid attention to the other reviews, you would see where the problem is (you), instead of making up excuses. Best of luck in the future

Love this place for happy hour drinks and the food is really good. The place it self does need some touching up to do. But overall service, food and most important! Drink were good!

Here for the first time. I think the drinks are on the pricy side. I don’t see why so much I been at different spots where the drinks wasn’t much. Just waiting on the food then I can update my review from this point on… The buffalo wings suckkkkk. Too much batter sauce is plain and it’s bland. Don’t bother. I’m good I not gonna be coming here again.

This place used to be so great. The cilantro beef tacos were delicious. Now they’ve changed. The ingredients are not so fresh anymore. The meat tastes like they’ve been reheated in the microwave.

I’d advise you find another place to go! Not only did they cancel all cinco de mayo reservations but once you got there you had to stand on the line. My friends and I (a party of 3) stood on the line for over 2 hours as the bouncer allowed parties of 2 and 5 to pass. We also watched as the bouncer allowed friends of those already inside of the establishment to come in this taking up the room that would have allowed those waiting outside to occupy. Friends of people who worked in the establishment were also allowed to walk through and enjoy the festive occasion. Cannot tell you how good the drinks and food are because the wait left such a bad taste in my mouth. Will be back to review the place fully once I get off this line (yes I’m writing this from the line).

This place has the worst customer service ever, I went for my birthday celebration. I had a group of 6 reservation and one more person came along making it 7 and they were making us wait an additional 10min which turned into 45minutes. The hostess was the worst she kept walking back and forth and giving us excuses on why it was taking so long. After the long wait we left and all she had to say was ok, not even an apology for the wait, and I was not able to celebrate my birthday as all places in the area were busy. I would never recommend this place
Management needs to get a new staff

Everyone I bring here really love the guacamole and flavored frozen margaritas. It’s perfect!!! The nutcracker is strong as hell but worth the money. The service has improved…

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with friends. There is a great drink selection, but the food selection was mediocre. I wasn’t impressed by the slow service; it took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive.

If I could give zero stars to this place I actually would. They charged us for food and drink we didn’t even order. While the owner was there he didn’t even attempt to make the situation right. I used to come here every time I was in New York for work and mistakingly went back. It was a major disappointment how the owner and bartender acted. I wouldn’t suggest coming here if you don’t want them to take advantage of you.

This place has potential to be a great hang out spot for drinks and dinner, but the service and crowd here is terrible. Really ratchet and a fight/​argument has happened both the times I’ve visited. The security guy is very rude. On top of that, I ordered a drink last night and it took 25 minutes for me to say forget it and walk out. Not sure if they had to go to a special river or a specific tree to get the lemons for the drink, but it never got to me.
When we told the waiter, there was zero customer service. He didn’t offer a discount on our food for the inconvenience. He just shrugged and said «yeah sorry». This looks like a hole in the wall kind of place for a place that’s in midtown Manhattan, so don’t let the location fool you. Keep your expectations low.

So I came here with my fiancé cause we were in the mood for Mexican. The place is small but we went for a early dinner on a Tuesday night so there was plenty of room. It was happy hour so we got $ 5 margaritas which were great. They weren’t too strong or too weak. For dinner, we ordered enchiladas. I really wasn’t crazy about it. I’m very use to having a lot of cheese on my enchilada and here, they barely put on any. We also ordered guacamole and chips which we both really liked. The guacamole had chunks of tomato in it which I never had before but I surprisingly liked it a lot. We then decided to order one of their candy drinks. I ordered the drunken gummies which was great. 22oz is a lot so I recommend you probably sharing this drink or getting it as your first cause my fiancé and I couldn’t finish it at all. Drinks are great! Food is okay.

I’m almost afraid to say this, as I never want to jinx magic, but…
…this establishment may be home to my favorite guacamole in all of NYC.
Phew. Glad we got that out of the way. There’s also something charming about drinking about 4 margaritas straight out of your souvenir Patrón bottle.
Dim lighting & loud music, but what do you care? You’ve just had 4 margaritas.
In short: You don’t have to be classy here. In fact, please don’t; you’ll make the rest of us look like slobs.

The drinks here are really tasty. I ordered the cloud 9 and the frozen patron in the bottle, which were both tasty. For dinner we ordered the chicken tacos with a side of rice and beans. The rice and beans had no Flavor and the tacos were pretty unauthentic.
