Paris Baguette Cafe

Amazingly surprised. First off the place is modern designed. Great décor for such an affordable place. The macarons, cake, green chai latte and peach ice tea were all great. The same macarons you pay 2.50 for elsewhere are twice the size here for the same price or you can get 3 slightly smaller ones (same size elsewhere) for 3.95. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely come here again.

Those sweet potato twisty things are like crack. Crunchy and buttery with soft sweet potato melded in… Gosh, they’re so yummy!
I also really like their chocolate bread :) it’s pretty good toasted.
On the other hand, I do not recommend their mango slush. It was overly sweet and not to my liking. It might’ve tasted better if the juice to ice ratio were adjusted. (Yes, it is a blend of juice and ice — nothing special and overpriced!)
I do like their «regular» iced coffee blend occasionally. It’s sweetened so if I want it less sweet, I ask for «half black, half regular». It’s a nice blend, but it’s not legit iced coffee. For that, go across the street to Bean & Bean ;)

The cakes here are delicious but hope you never want to pick up a last minute cake that needs writing because they don’t. You have to order 2 days in advance to have any writing on the cake!!! The other thing that drives me crazy is during Christmas season, you cannot get a regular cake. They only sell Christmas cakes! My daughter love the green tea chiffon cake but her birthday is on Dec 22! I tried ordering a week ahead but no they only do Christmas cake. So disappointing and really do not take into account customer needs!

i went in this morning to purchase coffee for my whole office. their staff should be happy that they got such order, however through out the wait the «manager» who was at the bar had her disgusted face. it doesn’t help that its open to public. i would expect a little bit more especially from a manager.
sincerely hope this will be read by paris baguette main office to improve their staff training.

Have been coming here for about 3 years now. Couldn’t get enough of this place when it opened up.
The pastries are yummy and endless. I always get something with the red bean. My fave!
However, lately have been noticing that the coffee quality is no longer as good as it used to be. Even the coffee cups have been downgraded.
The workers are not too friendly either.

I like the location of this bakery. Convenient for me with sufficient parking. Clean and bright also. I came in this morning to get myself a cup of hot tea because I wasn’t feeling well. I thought about going to a Chinese bakery but decided against it because Korean bakeries usually are much better although pricier. So I walked up to the counter and asked if they have any lemon honey tea. And he gave me the menu and showed me the tea selection they had. I pointed out an orange flavored one and specifically asked them to put some honey and/​or lemon in it. He rang me up and went to make my drink. I took my order and left. When I got to my office I realized not only was there no honey or lemon in my tea it wasn’t even the tea I ordered. I got earl gray. Extremely disappointed because it wasn’t like the bakery was busy.

Always a good selection of baked goods here. The store has a parking lot right next to it, which is always a plus in areas where street parking can be difficult to find. Service can be spotty sometimes — the cashier who rang me out today didn’t greet nor thank me after the transaction was completed. Maybe she was tired since it was daylight savings time?
Prices are higher than Chinese bakeries but the quality makes up for it

Of all Paris Baguette location, this is one of the best! There’s so many varieties of baked goods, bread, lunch sandwiches, and dessert. It all comes out freshly baked and I think the best time is lunch time. I’m always finding something new to try whenever I come to this location. Yum yum!

Stopped by because I’ve always wanted to try it out. Looking at the place, it was nice. Everything was neat, organized and clean.
I couldn’t wait to see what they had. Everything looed appetizing. I looooove bread and sweets… i picked up a lemon flavored croissant donut, and some type of other dessert looking thing. Both were good, but it was a shame that one was on the stale side. I guess leaving things out like that will do that.
I would like to try this place out again. I know they don’t always have the same stuff out. I would probably recommend coming during the early hours when everything is fresher. Or come when you know that they’ve just put stuff out.

Not worth the extreme crowds, noise, and aggravation trying to find parking. Complete mess of a café has coffees, bubble tea, pastries and breads. Bubble tea was horrible and chalky. Pastry was stale as well. Nothing they had looked very fresh and the seating area was pretty dirty. They offer wifi but it barely works. Luckily it doesn’t cost much. Save yourself the annoyance and don’t come here.

This Paris Baguette is not as crowded as you will find in Flushing. Thus you will be able to find more sitting spaces. This place is usually clean, well lit, and the staff are more friendly than the ones in Flushing.
The food is ok. I ordered a plain croissant, but I had better ones at other places…

The hot horchata with soymilk here is exceptional– creamy, sweet like brown sugar (meaning, not in an overbearing way), like comfort food. The green tea and strawberry sponge cakes are my favorites, because they fill your stomach without weighing you down.
The service is fast here, like at most of the Paris Baguette locations I’ve been to (Koreatown and Times Square on 40^th St. and 7^th Ave). I like the Bayside location best in terms of space and seating, because jt doesn’t feel cramped.

I love the smell of this place the minute you walk thru the door. Their signs for the baked goods are very helpful to know what’s in their goods unlike the Chinese bakeries.
My family and I have frequented this place many times and never disappoints. I bought a large Azuki Latte. It’s a red bean latte with cinnamon. Delicious. A tad sweeter than I like but you can ask them to add milk or water. Then mix it up.
We bought the crème brûlée donut. Excellent! It was the perfect snack and sweet, the crème that oozed was spot on but it was small, just about the size of a cream puff. We also bought a box of mini croissants. They were light and airy. Flaky with layers of soft goodness. Perfect as well. There were various croquettes we wanted to try but just having lunch, I couldn’t. But will definitely go back to try next time.
For those that don’t have a sweet tooth, they sell sandwiches and salads like a gourmet deli would have. They even have a ham and cheese croissant sandwich that looked so appetizing. It was fluffy and looked really rich.
Totally will return. Gotta try their egg tarts!

I’m a fan of Paris Baguette only because it’s one of the good bakeries in my neighborhood where I can run to and get a cake last minute if the occasion calls for it, although it is pricey for the portion. I’ve never had the chance to sit down and enjoy the Paris Baguette atmosphere, but from its appearance and my time being a customer there, it seems like a cozy, little environment that is a good place for chatting with friends. It has an elegant and modern environment which reminds you of an artisan bakery. As for their products and displays, everything has its place and is very gorgeous and beautiful to look at. They bake in such a way that it retains both the delicate appearance and still tastes good. Their cakes are also very good. I’ve had their green tea blueberry cake and the chocolate mousse before. Also had the tiramisu before. They’re all very delicious and decorated beautifully. The cakes tend to be a bit dry in my personal opinion. It’s not nearly as fluffy as other place’s I’ve had before, such as Yeh’s bakery in downtown Flushing. Like I said before, it’s also relatively pricey. One cake is about 25+ dollars depending on which kind you get. This is a good bakery for sure, but it’s not my favorite sadly.

Paris Baguette is a nice, clean place to get together for a cup of coffee, green tea, or one of their delicious pastries. The set up is great: cafeteria style. You can drool over the chocolate croissants or if your appetite is bigger I would go for the chicken salad sandwich. The pastries and sandwiches are always fresh. My other favorites include the chocolate bread, regular croissant, fruit pastry (mixed fruit or raspberry), or cheese danish. I have tried their cakes which look like they were made in heaven. The whipped cream is so light and fluffy you just have to try it!
FYI…This location is great but the parking lot has limited spots. You might find yourself looking for street parking. I’ve been to other locations including the one in Flushing and in the city — they all have consistent quality. Let’s just say that I have a friend who visits from Texas and PB is one of our go-​to spots. She also takes a box of chocolate croissants back with her which usually are eaten within 24 hrs :)

Great pastries. Not really French but not bad. My favorite is the mocha cream bread. Coffee is better then most places. I would actually consider it better than Starbucks. Overall I recommend it.

When I do carbs, I want to do carbs right. Thus, I ended up at PB on my quest for breads and flaky pastries. Paris Baguette has a mini arsenal of diabetes inducing treats and desserts coyly tempting you from behind the glass windows.
My croissant was decent but didn’t taste super fresh or buttery despite there being over a dozen sitting there. The limited selection of macarons was disappointing as that was half the reason I came here. My cappuccino was pretty perfect as they didn’t overdo the foam or anything silly.
I’m sorry, but the the Paris theme is taken to the extent that it’s downright campy. People wearing berets with the most defeated expressions ever was a bit of a turn off. It reminded me of the unenthusiastic staff at the food stand found at any sort of carnival. Pass.
You’ll want to burn some of those pastries off by walking here because parking is completely non existent ! I had to drive quite a distance to find a spot that was close. Just a warning, but not too surprising for Bayside, I suppose.
Despite all this, PB is sparkling clean and neat. I got my treats relatively quickly and was not bothered sitting at a table for over 40 minutes in the afternoon. I’d defiantly pop in again for a coffee and different pastries.

This place isn’t the best bakery but it definitely is different than most. Most items are things you can’t find at other bakeries.
I had a custard filled donut (forgot the exact name) and it was really good. The cakes in the case are beautiful and very unique.
I will be back to try more things.
I only gave it 3 stars because the bathroom was likes gas station. Filthy! Don’t use it if you don’t have to. And the trash was overflowing in the dining room.

I’m a major paris baguette fan, I feel I’ve liked every cake I ate there. This location has a small and crowded parking lot so parking in the side street is a better alternative. The store is very clean and bright, there’s a window where you see the bakers making all the baked goods. I like going during the off-​hours to avoid the crowds (i.e approx 3pm is when school is out). This is almost near bell blvd, so it’s in vicinity of the any buses that stop there.
One thing I didn’t like here was the cannele pastry. I actually had it at another location and it was crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The one I ate at this location was extremely hard, maybe because it was out for too long or overcooked? The coating of a cannele is sugar that is crisped up by the heat hitting the cannele mold, yielding a crispy caramel tasting shell. But something is wrong when I’m not even able to bite into it… I mean this pastry can cause some damage if you throw it.
You can never go wrong with the royal pudding. There’s mango and a regular flavor. When I buy empty choux pastry, I like to do a DIY creampuff. The sliced cakes are delicious too and the taste is consistent with the other locations.
I noticed they display the boxed baumkuchen in the fridge next to the royal puddings, while the flushing queens crossing location has it at room temp among the pastries, not entirely sure if temperature has anything to do with the cake quality, but it’s one aspect I just happened to notice.
Noteably they offer «cronuts», definitely not comparable to dominique ansels but a cheaper alternative. They offer lemon and coffee flavor (between these two I’d opt for the lemon because I feel coffee is more heavy in taste).
Overall I come here for the cakes, pudding, and certain pastries.

Really love eyeballing all of the different beautiful tasty looking pastries, it brings to mind people watching at my favorite summer festival such goregous people so goregous you want to know them all lol just like the pastries here you want to know them all ! Today I had an egg tart which was just perfect the pastry was buttery, flaky, light the custard just slightly sweet, I also had a sweet potato breakfast cake amazing fluffy, soft, like a sweet potato pound cake cloud ! Iced green tea with soy milk and bubbles was refreshing as well !

I really wanted to love this place because they DO have fresh pastries, but they make it too easy to really hate the business instead and here’s why…
The pastries…
Remember those fresh pastries we all love? Yeah, well, odds are you are not gonna get your favorite. Show up at opening time and less than a ¼ of the pastries are out for consumption. Why? No one knows. Show up at 11am or mid-​day (tried them all!) and some of the pastries will have run out because there is no standard time to put things out, and they won’t make more than the one batch they make a day. You lose.
Customer service…
What customer service? Half the people working the register don’t know what they are doing and you need a manager just to place a cake order.
Parking?
If you want to experience hell then park here. Patrons regularly cross over the lines they are supposed to be parked in, or park where it clearly says «Don’t Park» so that when you try and get your vehicle out you can’t without going inside and asking at every table for the owner to get them to move their car. Ask management for help and they will give you an annoyed look that signals they hate their life.
With all of the above to deal with if you’re lucky enough to score your favorite pastry odds are you will have some indigestion to go with it. Avoid.

I want to like this place so much because it’s near home and would be a great spot to just have a coffee and relax for a few.
But, eh, I can pass. The name says Paris Baguette, but the only thing Paris about the place is the wall paper and some Eiffel towers references.
The employees wear black berets which everyone would think of as French, but since I have been to France I can tell you they really don’t wear berets. I did not see a single one.
The iced green tea was light and good, but when I saw the server pour it from the same container that I have in my own fridge all I could think of was… I could have gone home for this.
I had a bite of a pastry thing that G had purchased. It was commercial tasting.
The pastries in the open air area were just not all that appetizing, and again, not all that French. I saw what seemed to be «ok» looking croissants, but even those looked commercially made. It is very difficult to find an artisan croissant now days, due to the time it takes to actually make a croissant. Even in France, the pastry shops are becoming a rarity because of commercially made products.
The seating in here is very nice and comfortable. The background music is so you can hear it and still talk to your partner, another plus.
There were dirty tables in the dining area which were never cleaned during the visit. This place was not all that busy, so there was ample time for the employees to come out from behind the counter and wipe some tables.
My disappointment is in the cleanliness of the place and really not much in the way of «French feeling» other than the décor. The food is definitely 90% Asian inspired. I never saw a «bean bun» in France, or the Asian sponge cakes in any patisserie. The top beverage being green tea should have been my clue… not French… but we all have clueless moments. C’est la vie!

Green tea iced and Baumkuchen Petite Cake good combination until I found out that included in the cake is a preservative pack (see pic). What? A preservative pack in a small one piece cake serving. Are you kidding me? Of course it says Do Not Eat-​Ever Fresh Oxygen Absorber. What is that dastardly item? Atmosphere was nice, cozy seating, good background music and good lighting. Staff needs to clean tables, as it was not that busy and the tables were dirty. Good service. Parlez vous francais?

Tonight we felt like having dessert so we picked up a blueberry chiffon cake (big slice) soft cake with cream and fresh blueberries and what seems like a cross between whipped cream and butter cream. The cake itself is a blend of cake flur and muffin mix but so delicious. In between the layers of cake there are blueberries and cream. We also a strawberry & blackberry fruit tart with pastry cream, althought this dessert. was good, the fruit tart was a bit more sweet. Both desserts were shared and the guy at the register even provided candles because my daughter’s friend was celebrating her bday and we wanted for her to blow out her candles. The storr is very clean, tables were almost empty as we walked in 25 minutes before closing. great night to finish with fantastic desserts. thats why i always come back!

My boyfriend and I decided to come here after dinner nearby for dessert and a beverage. I like that it’s extremely roomy, modern, and clean compared to the one in Korean Town in Manhattan. There’s also a lot more seating at this location.
There was no one on line when we arrived, so I went to the first cashier I saw and I greeted the young woman and placed my order, but she wouldn’t accept it and told me to go to the other gentleman and I thought that was very rude and the other gentlemen gave her a dirty look for being rude. Any way, I proceeded to order my green tea shaved ice.
My boyfriend and I were not at all pleased with the green tea shaved ice! It was a bowl of messiness and was absolutely tasteless! I’ve had one of Paris Baguette’s shaved ices before and it was never as bad as this one. It literally looked and tasted like a dessert has gone wrong and clearly the staff didn’t care what it looked like or what they were putting out for a customer.
We were extremely disgusted with our dessert that we didn’t even have the stomach or heart to finish the rest of the dessert. Paris Baguette’s food and beverages are generally good and decent, but I don’t think I will ever order their shaved ices again and I will definitely not return to this Paris Baguette again especially with the poor customer service that I experienced.

Very surprised at how cute this place is. They have so any options, the desserts are good but not great. I’ve had better so I’m taking off a star.

Very bright, clean, airy, and modern café/​bakery on Northern Blvd. in Bayside. Have been here several times and have never left disappointed. I love the openness of the place so you’re not bumping into people or things.
Their pastries are tasty without being too heavy. Many of the offerings are unique but you also have the classics/​favorites available if you’re not the adventurous type.
I love that you can grab a tray, line it with paper on which to place your items, grab a pair a tongs, and go about picking up the items you want. This enables you to «browse» and take your time in making your selections without feeling pressured to hurry because you’re holding up the staff or have customers lined up behind you.
There are plenty of seats available and you get a great view out the wall of windows. Most of the staff are young but their quick and efficient, even if they’re not necessarily the most outwardly friendly.

This store will sooner ruin by their teenage workers of their service and working attitudes. You can always see them chatting every time you walk in this store.
The tables, seats and floor are not cleaned and swept, you need to tell them more them three times to finally get them clean or I should say swept off the bakery crumbs with their dry rag to the floor, the sticky cream or coffee stain remained on the table.
They don’t bother to pick up the napkins, bakery wrappers lying on the floor, even they walked by, and not seeing them… bakery crumbs all over the floor and under the tables. The coffee counter was cleaned, but the half and half pot has yellowish stain.
I was later told by my Korean friend that they were arguing on job duties, not because of their duties, but they have a lot of work to do…(chatting?)
