The«French-style chicken» here comes in a variety of forms, and the ¼ chicken they served up eerily quickly(with a smile) satisfied but didn’t wow. Kinda heavy-handed with the seasoning, but I guess that’s the point. Total Rewards — $ 5.00 $ 2 Happy Hour — $ 2.00 $ 3 First Visit Reward — $ 3.00 Total Balance $ 1.53

$ 14.50 for a dry and bland chicken sandwich and a small side. Never again, what killed me is the dish could have been saved the side of hot sauce I ordered that was left out of my bag.

Oh DAYUMM the rotisserie chicken is so good! I got the lunch special which is quarter chicken(dark meat) + 2 sides(brussels and ratatouille) I made the mistake of starting with the veggies. The brussels sprouts were honestly quite disappointing. I am used to burnt crispy brussels sprouts cooked in chili oil and bacon, whereas the side here is light and moist and cooked in tarragon and what appears to be mustard seeds. It was undercooked and flavorless to me. The ratatouille however really warmed up my day. It was stewed way longer than I am used to so it got really saucy which made it even more hearty and delicious. The darkmeat chicken is for sure the best part. Yes rub on the rosemary overdose. The meat was moist and the skin was crispy. I will probably get half chicken next time.

No question that, for the chicken alone, Poulette deserves four stars. It is simply prepared and simply delicious. Juicy and flavorful. Good job! But they shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to the side dishes. OK, the mixed green salad was fine. The ratatouille was cooked perfectly; however, it was so over-salted that you couldn’t distinguish one vegetable from another. The quinoa and kale salad was essentially good, but the devil really was in the details. The proportion of kale to quinoa was way off — way too much dried out and poorly prepared quinoa, and way too little kale, onion and red pepper. This dish needed some olive oil and lemon to bind and to combine the components. Not happening. Brussels sprouts were a huge disappointment. Again, very poorly cooked. Unless brussels sprouts have a proper creamy consistency, and are coated in butter, you cannot use tarragon. The aroma and the flavor are totally at odds with the aroma and the flavor of semi-cooked brussels sprouts. In this case, instead of mixing the tarragon with butter, they mixed it with mustard. As a result, you have a battle of sharp, strong and not pleasant flavors in your mouth and up your nose. Inedible. But go for the chicken. Skip the sides.

Wow! I passed by Poulette randomly and didn’t expect to have such a pleasant experience. The staff was super friendly, and the food to die for for a very reasonable price. I had the ¼ chicken with brussels sprouts and ratatouille, which was the best I ever had. Can’t wait to come back to try their sandwich, which looked delicious.

Best rotisserie chicken in the upper west side! Authentic French food, with moist chicken and fresh vegetables. Healthy and yummy? Don’t mind if I do! Plus the delivery was fast and the order was not pricey compared to the quality and quantity you get. A big YES!

Wow this place has some damn good chicken. Very french indeed!(although I didn’t know the french were known for chicken but that’s just me) Anyways I would definitely come here again. Delicious, juicy and the place has a cool vibe too.

If you really, really want«French inspired» chicken(whatever that means), or you are so tired you can’t walk an extra 2 blocks to Chirping Chicken, this is your place on the UWS. Otherwise, this is just a roast chicken joint.

I live above Poulette and was very excited when it finally opened. The wings are great(especially the salt and pepper) and the sandwich is really good. Prices are reasonable considering the size of the sides.

Good food but steep prices, and no bathroom? Is that even legal? This place could be a winner but they need a bathroom, clearer menu pricing, and some platters/meal pricing.

So lucky that I can get my roasted chicken closer to where I live as the Hell’s Kitchen location would not deliver upper Manhattan. I used Caviar delivery service a few times though. My favorite is the ½ chicken with 2 large sides extra crispy and it was served exactly as hoped. The ratatouille is better than my mom’s(and that’s tough)! I like to see the actual rotisserie in front of me when I order the food and see them chicken roasting slowly. Adam, the owner, worked at a famous rotisserie in Paris, which is where he learnt how to properly rub and roast chicken. He is very friendly and knows all about his chickens. Poulette is one of these places where I can order a few times a week because quality and prices are consistent. Now we need one Poulette Lower East Side for late nights dinner :-)

I ordered an entire chicken with 4 sides(mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, ratatouille and roasted potatoes). Chicken was delicious and juicy-even the white meat! Sides had the same touch of originality I loved at the Hell’s Kitchen location. The ratatouille was not too cooked not too raw, perfect blend of veggie flavor! Brussels sprouts with mustard! Mmm a MUST and MUSTREPEAT. Thanks for opening at UWS!!!

The chicken itself is fine. It is just chicken. However, when my husband and I walked into the store, there were empty tables with plates that all should have been cleared. It was kind of gross. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich with no tomato and a side of brussel sprouts. When we got home, they had forgotten the sprouts and there were tomatoes on the sandwich. The baguette was stale and beyond hard. I am so disappointed.

I am happy to have Poulette on the UWS now. I tried their chicken a few times in Hells Kitchen and was never disappointed. Sides are great, the chicken is tender and the skin crispy. It is all relatively affordable. All in, a great experience. On top of that the staff is friendly so I am giving them 5 stars. My favorites are the Brussel sprouts and the ratatouille. Oh also, when u have people over and really don’t wanna cook, Poulette is the way to go.

I went there today for a lunch special: ¼ chicken and two sides for $ 12. The sides(fries and salad) were terrific and a nice portion. Five stars for the sides. The chicken skin was great: Crisp, tasty, with a little bit of melty fat underneath. Five stars for the skin. But the chicken(breast) itself was quite dry… no wonder they offer sauces for it. I went around 2pm when there was only one other customer, so maybe my bird had been sitting out. Or maybe, having been open only a week, they’re not yet running on all cylinders, so I will try them again later this week. But right now, they a get a mercy three star rating, even though the chicken itself was not three stars, because the sides and skin(and service) were all great.

My wife and I were hungry and waking down Amsterdam thinking we’re going to another eating establishment when I looked inside and thought to myself we might as well try it. We were very surprised. Very surprised the food was excellent but what made the meal more pleasurable was the attentiveness of the cashier wait guy. He was overall one of the friendliest most attentive serving people that I have dealt with in the past five years. Definitely will go back.
