I stepped in here as s first time alone traveler, and got discouraged from the line. I stood there anyways and they started attending to everyone really fast. Nice Employees and great customer service. I was stoked and ready to experience New York pizza. I got the jalapeño and pepperoni my all time favorite it was good, and there were so many to choose from. However I wasn’t pleased with the atmosphere due to the high volume, cleanliness wasn’t all that good. But let the busser know, they’ll be happy to clean it off.

Great if it’s 3am and you’re wasted. Picked up a large cheese pizza, coke, and greek salad and ate on our hotel bed while watching SVU. All of those details were necessary.

Most rude customer service ever Tastes like little Caesars and is overpriced A typical cheese pizza is 20 bucks and tastes gross, like a cold grilled cheese

The food was bad and the service was HORRIFIC Ordered two slices of topping pizza– the bill was over 12 $, which is pretty bad, but ok, I got pizza with toppings. The pizza came out barely warmed, and maybe would have been ok if it had been hot, but cold was not good at all. Also way too heavy on blue cheese dressing– I had to dab it off with a napkin. For the price I would expect them to care if the food is any good. The woman at the counter gave my girlfriend root beer instead of Mt. Dew, and when she asked for the mistake to be corrected, the woman snapped at her. Would never go back again, and I recommend you find a different pizza place in NYC.

It was raining while I was walking through Manhattan, I was hungry and needed a dry place to go to. At first I passed this place, but I peered my eyes into the shop window and for some reason some gut feeling told me that this was a good place to eat.(Maybe my gut just has a thing for pizza.) I really had that feeling of when Brittany Murphy discovered the ramen shop in the Ramen Girl, it was just really random but worth it. I wanted to eat somewhere really nice while I was there and this place is just a ma and pa shop. Not that thats a bad thing, but I really had a natural craving for pizza as usual so this place made it to my heart! The slice of pizza I had was HUGE it took was larger than the plate it was sitting on. The style I had was buffalo chicken, one of my go-to choices, and they by far created my favorite one yet. I also had some garlic knots, they were fantastic as well. Very doughy and they were served with marinara. I loved how friendly the staff was and how nice the interior of the restaurant was. It reminded me of something from a movie set. Ray’s Pizza is a great place to go wether you are living NYC or just stopping by. Best of all was the price, very inexpensive for the amount of food.

Good food horrible service. If you order anything besides pizza then stand by the register and complain. Complain complain complain that Is the only way to get any service. And if they forget you are waiting, then get ready for a load of attitude and personality. they don’t care about you so watch out. I’ve been coming here for 10 years and I’m done. Tonight was the worst experience and i will not come back.

The bbq chicken pizza was not good. I asked for a recommendation and they couldn’t help me out. They just said hey don’t know.

A little on the expensive side but that is expected of any small restaurant in NYC. Pizzas were average but the real disappointments were cal sides which didn’t taste so well. Prices are sky high. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Season arrangement isn’t very great either.

This place is the best in the city!!! the pizzas are the biggest and the best!!! I love this place… The manager Eugine showed nothing but kindness and friendliness and professionalism!!! He even made fresh food special requested… If your in New York. St marks area. Rays pizza is the place to chill and drink and eat good fresh food made by Eugine and his crew… this place deserves 5 stars. They work to hard to keep it up. Keep up the great work…

Eh. I am not from New York and if this was my first NYC pizza I would think it was over hyped. I had a slice of Sicilian and the best I can say is that the bottom crust was crispy. Tasted like cardboard and the sauce was not my favorite either. Oh, and my tummy was grumbly the rest of the day. People were friendly, though, and I did get quick service.

The pizza here was ok. It was reheated as is most when you get it by the slice. But the employees were a little on the rude side and the prices were really high, like $ 7.50 for a slice of pizza like high. When I can get a better slice in the $ 4 range a few blocks away. Won’t be going back here.

Stopped in for a slice around 11am. They had a number of different topping already pre-made in the window. I opted for the pepperoni. The slice was good, but not the best I’ve had in NYC. I would try it again, but would like go elsewhere if given the choice.

Never again. Possibly the worst pizza place in NYC? Definitely my worst experience so far. Ordered a delivery Sicilian and some apps. Asked for a well done pie. Gent who took my order said no problem. AwesomeDelivery was great, so fast so polite! And then we opened the bag and found an abomination of under cooked, semi-topped half of a pizza and two soggy partially rotten salads. Seriously, a half pizza. Gross.

Ray’s is located in various locations around NYC. I stopped in at this location after attending a Broadway Show. At about 10:30PM., the line for the pizza was out of the door. Slices are huge, with about two slices the same size as regular whole medium from other pizza places. The slices you select are placed inside of an oven and served to you nice and hot. Individual slices are readily available and served rather quickly. Whole pizzas are assembled, and take longer to cook and serve. There was also a deli on the premises, so I was able to order wings with the pizza. The pepperoni pizza I ordered was delicious, and I will be sure to visit when I return to NYC.

Small place and definitely not fancy but does the job when you need a quick bite. Pizza is good — not the cheapest you can find in the city but well worth the price. Staff does a good job in getting your food to you quickly. They are always busy so this is a good thing. Not a great place to go with a large party as it is a little cramped in the dining area. But for a party of 2 – 3, perfect. I like their pepperoni/sausage slice above other specialty slices I’ve tried — though the plain, classic cheese is, in my opinion, their best offering.

The quintessential New York Pizza place! There is nothing fantasy about this small spot in Midtown, except the gourmet Pizza. Buy it by the slice and try a couple different kinds. I suggest the meat lovers, BBQ chicken, or just plain cheese.

100 places across the city called rays, all banking on the name of the original, which seems to be gone from prince street– any spot that says Original rays is lying, and has crappy pizza.

The place is called Rays pizza not 99cent pizza. If the price of the slices really bother you go somewhere else… This pizza was really great. The people were really nice and kept high spirits in the store. They have an enormous selection of pizza and they are good prices. I mean for gods sake they need to make money and what better way to do so than up the price of pizza in a huge touristic location. Steak and cheese wasn’t the best steak and cheese we’ve had but the amount they give you for the price is really great. We had the BBQ pizza, spinach feta and cheese. ALLTHREEAMAZING. They have ample space for you to sit down and enjoy your food while watching some tv– really good pizza spot!
