Friends recommended this place and we were disappointed. The pizzas really didn’t have much taste. Oh Well…

Perfect quick small plate bite. Polenta with sausage and loads of garlic was tasty. Service was polite, friendly and crisp. Thanks.

Came here after a Broadway show since it stays open late and was near our hotel. The food was okay – the duck pizza was overly sweet with figs and the asparagus and egg pizza was good but lacking something. It could have been the fact that it was 10:30 pm and they were probably just reheating things. We would have been more understanding of the duck pizza for one person didn’t cost $ 19. The Brussels sprouts could have been amazing if they were less sweet. They didn’t have my friend’s first two options so she just chose something random off the menu and it seemed as if it was reheated. She was understanding cause it was late. One good thing about this place is the free appetizer they give you. It’s this garlic/salted flatbread served with ricotta cheese on the side. Super yum. Service was ok. Everyone seemed pretty tired, but again, it was 10:30 pm. They serve drinks here and have a bar you can sit at as well.

Amazing pizza! Probably one of the best I’ve had. It had mozzarella, asparagus, truffle oil, and a soft egg. Try this place out! :)

Delicious brick oven pizza. Not many vegetarian alternatives but the margherita was great! One of the nicest restaurants in the area.

Hours on door says Open. Unilocal says Open. Walk inside and get a terse Not Open. No apology. No indication of when they would open. Rude. Rude. Glad they weren’t open b

Chef Alex is a genius. My wife and I had the Cornish game hen and I had grilled shrimp with risotto… and amazing meal… maybe the best we’ve ever had in a restaurant… my wife and daughters are gourmet chefs but Alex created something off the charts… seriously astounding meal. We live in Los Angeles… Hopefully he would come out here so we could enjoy his approach to dining here regularly. If not, a trip to NYC is not entirely out of the question. C.H.

Still fantastic! Went back and ordered the exact same thing to check consistency before recommending to my friends. Did not disappoint! Food was great, and I had the pleasure of meeting Omar– He was great! He is the drink and wine maestro! He really took care of me, and even added cucumbers, my fave, to my water. I will definitely be back, and will recommend to the group. Thank you for another great experience!

Got the Penne a la Vodka and Hanger Steak.fantastic. The flavor or the penne was just great and not over powering, and the hanger steak was cooked perfectly with a great mushroom sauté on top. For dessert, the Crème Brûlée was unreal. Best I’ve had. The top was crisped perfectly and the additional berries on top were a great accent. Also, got the Mumma sparking wine from Napa Valley, CA. A nice light taste to go with a fabulous meal.

Times Square isn’t exactly the kind of neighborhood you’d expect to find a good Italian restaurant/wine bar, so Re Sette is a shining beacon among the dark sea of surrounding tourist traps selling overpriced pizza and sandwiches. I was once again hungry the other night, so I ordered everything off the menu. My first course was complimentary, bruschetta with ricotta. It was nicely toasted, altho the ricotta was cold. I would have preferred if the ricotta had be warmed up a bit. My second course were the grilled portabella mushrooms with goat cheese. These were A-MAY-zing…the mushrooms were nicely seasoned and the grilling really brought out the flavor. The sprinkling of goat cheese added a tangy contrast. For my main course I had the Fettuccine Bolognese with Parmigiana Reggiano. It sent me to food heaven. Pasta was right at al dente with just a little amount of bite, and the ragu sauce had lots of generous meaty chunks. The addition of the shaved Parma just enhanced it all! The restaurant itself is decorated with interesting art pieces. The one that took my eye and I had to take a picture of was a bust of a woman wearing a red ribbon as a scarf and a partial head covering. Next up I had the Italian Wedding soup. The soup was really hearty and warm, with mini meatballs, cabbage, and small chunks of fresh mozzarella cheese. Do remember to order the soup when you come here! And for dessert I had the house gelato. It was two scoops served in a dessert shell with freshly sliced strawberries and blueberries. Beautiful way to end the night.

Nice place. Just stumbled in here on a rainy day looking for some good lunch. Had some beers, the fried calamari(very good) and the butternut squash tortellini as well as a penne dish with tomato sauce. Simple dishes but very good. Great list of wines as well as cocktails.

Dined here a week ago for lunch w/my friend. We both ordered salads — he had a Caesar salad; I opted for the Mediterranean salad which was delicious! We split the Margherita pizza(also delicious) and I had a cappuccino for dessert. The place is adorable and the service was excellent! I really liked the décor and the vibe there. My only suggestion(and it could be because we were seated right under the speaker) would be to have the music playing at a lower volume. Other than that, I give Re Sette two thumbs up! Looking forward to returning soon.

Food: simple, tasty, no complaints. Went there for a more casual business lunch and it did the trick. My guest had the pasta fagioli to start and followed with a grilled chicken Caesar salad. He thought that both were above average, but not mind blowing. I started with the Mediterranean salad and then had the turkey club with no bacon. I thought both of my selections were great. The salad was extremely fresh and the sandwich stood out because of the slightly spicy spread they put on it. The fries were cooked perfectly. Service: very polite, attentive, clean, happy to assist. They actually did make a mistake and bring me out a soup instead of my salad at first, but my salad came quickly behind. This wasn’t a problem at all for me. I only mention it to be thorough in my review. Atmosphere: clean, lots of wood, open, seating a tad tight, but okay. Friendly. Appropriate for business lunch, semi casual dinner etc. it works for me. Misc: I probably could have given this place a four, but given the simplicity of our dishes, I kept it at a three. I’d go back though and there’s a good chance I’d order the same thing again.

**For bar only** If you’re looking for a quieter spot for a drink in the midtown area, this could be a good option. There’s a nice bar area in front of the restaurant with a great bar and cocktail list. Service has pleasant and the bartenders were really nice. Would go back.

Been here a few times for business lunch and I have to say, this place is great for business lunch. Not too packed, not too loud and very professional. The menu is simple and delicious. I tried one of the seafood dishes before and loved it. In recent months, they converted the bar up front to a café during the day, so you can swing by and get coffee. I love their coffee and have been to their ½ off coffee hours as well. I don’t remember the time frame but we came around noon and was told coffee is half off. So check it out!

We ate there with a Groupon, but would happily return without one. Excellent pizza($ 12), cod($ 30) and balsamic chicken($ 26); very good free garlic bread; good happy hour specials. All sauces are flavorful andinteresting without being overpowering. Very nice host and excellent service.

Found this place using groupon and was a little concerned when our server told us there was a special groupon menu. But the menu was nearly identical except for a few higher-priced items not included. He ordered lobster ravioli. I chose Ravioli con Mela which is «Homemade apple, pear & ricotta cheese ravioli, prosciutto san daniele, roasted pistaccio, in a gorgonzola cream sauce». His was very good, mine was amazing! Very unique taste with a hint of sweetness. Servers were exceptional. For our appetizer we ordered the portobello mushrooms which were tasty enough that I suggested we try to make them at home — and I hate to cook.
