Couldn’t believe how I missed this truck before as it’s parked right outside of my office. I was reluctant to try this cart at first but after reading so many positive reviews online from various sources, I gave it a shot. The chicken is well-seasoned and extremely flavorful. The rice was unbelievable with various spices and has an enjoyable sweetness from the raisins. The salad provides a great compliment to the heavier meat and rice. What I liked most about the platter I had was that I didn’t feel like I needed to take a nap after I was done. This will definitely be apart of my office’s daily lunch rotation going forward.

$ 6 for either a chicken or beef platter. This food truck beats the other street meat food trucks on the quality of the food. The rice is mixed with some herbs and raisins making it a different flavor. I had the chicken platter, and it tasted very fresh. Also, they use a homemade white and red sauce which adds to the unique flavor.

I’m new to this area and these guys offered me a sample after I’d already grabbed my lunch. It was good, so I told them I’d come back and try. I finally did, and oh man, I want more right now. The food is so fresh you can taste it. The guys on the cart are friendly and polite. I had the chicken, but the beef looks great. The rice is beautiful and tasty. None of the flavors are overwhelming — they are just right. I had the red and white sauces on the side, and out of personal preference, the white was better. The salad is a really nice touch. It’s an actual salad, not just a heap of iceberg lettuce. It’s a mixture of greens topped with diced tomato and cucumber. The dressing is subtle. …And all this for $ 6! Can’t go wrong. I’ll definitely be a regular here.

My roots are originally from Tashkent, where this dish(pilaf) is famous. Till this day, I try pilaf anywhere it is served, and not a single place can compare to my mothers pilaf… until today. The guys at Rice the Great, really know what they are doing. The rice is tender, without being greasy. The meat melts in your mouth. I’m so happy that they opened up shop here. I really got my moneys worth, and then some. If you’e in the neighborhood, you have to check this place out. And even if you’re not, go the extra few minutes, and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
