The crust alone could make this place, but couple that with great sauce and cheese, friendly service, and a small friendly feel and you have one of my favorite NYC pizza places!

Um, yeah. This is my kind of pie. Big fan of square pies. Super thin crust, and light and airy to boot. The perfect ratio of cheese sauce to crust. My preferred style of sausage — crumbled — with just the right amount of fennel is perfect here. Stewart’s root beer on tap? Sign me up. Definitely will be back. My new pizza Mecca.

Found using Unilocal.Great pizza. One of best I have had. Great place to pick up a few slices.

Ok. Thin crust but not the crunchy kind. More like a processed cracker. The sause is very good. Would I come back? No. Still searching for the perfect slice on the upper east side.

This pizza is great NY pizza and love the thin crust. Their ricotta is sooooo good !! Get that on any pizza and you are good. It just is so flimsy and all topping come off when you pick it up. But overall good quality pizza.

Not great. The pizza was so thin, it was like eating a cracker with cheese. Also, no sauce on a pepperoni pizza? For $ 25 I was expecting a lot more.

Decent but definitely not what I had heard based on the hype. Perhaps the Astoria location is better? It’s a little expensive for the«extra thin» crust. I got hungry again like an hour after finishing it.

OMG!!! The worst calzones! My boyfriend doesn’t like ricotta, so we ordered mozzarella and there was NOCHEESE in it! Flat as a pancake. And the marinara, awful! I don’t know what happened to this place. It used to be GREAT! Very disappointed. We’ll never order from this place again.

I finally found«my» pizza place. Delicious thin crispy crust and fresh toppings. I am not as big a fan of their signature square pizza. The crust is a little thicker, but it was still good. The garlic knots are also fluffy, light and very garlicky. Just right. Delivery is quick and orders are accurate.

One star as sauce is amazing. Zesty and sweet. Crust was not even cooked and about as satisfying as pizza on wonderbread. Not sure how it was«extra thin» — seemed to be the same thickness as all slices. Disappointing!

Wish there was a negative star option. Waited over 1.5 hours and actually still waiting. Called the restaurant and was told to call seamless to cancel! Unacceptable.

Pizza was delicious… Unfortunately since it took almost 2 hours to get here it was freezing cold. To top it all off they didn’t even get the order correct… Not great IMO

Had a bbq chicken pizza. Least satisfying $ 3.50 slice of pizza I have had in NY so far. Love thin crust but this is just paperthin cardboard with no flavor. Flavor of the toppings and sauce were fine but the amount was secerely lacking. Definitely wouldn’t go back.

I ordered a two topping large square for pick up — toppings I chose were basil and pepperoni. Pretty bummed to discover basil flakes, I could have added that myself.

Picked up two individual pizzas one day for lunch. The three small tables were occupied so I sat on the bench outside. First of all two were a little too much for me, but I wanted to taste different flavors. And I was not disappointed! Great crust and great fresh ingredients combined to make a fresh pie you don’t often get in the city.

This place is terrible. Probably the worst slice of pizza I’ve ever consumed in my life. The slice are tiny, there was so little cheese and the sauce was salty. To accurately describe the pizza, I would picture a large triangular saltine cracker, with sauce and a sprinkle of cheese. I noticed on the take out box that they also had a location in Astoria, Queens. If it’s the same Rizzo’s on Steinway St just off of 30th Ave, they should remove their name from the Lexington Ave location. Astoria Rizzo’s good, this location… disgusting. You’ve been warned not too come here.

The crust! Truely great thin crust pizza. I had the cheese pizza and one with spinach & garlic(both tomato sauce). Easily the best pizza I’ve had in UES, and probably the best in the city. All other NYC pizza has crust envy; Rizzo’s is crispy, crunchy and delicious. Perfect texture and taste. No one else matches Rizzo’s crust. To top it off Rizzo has the sauce dialed-in too, both in flavor(kinda zesty) and in ratio with other toppings. I’ve been to a few restaurants with excellent pizza sauce(perhaps as good as Rizzo’s) but they get the ratio wrong and end up with a below average pie. Rizzo figured it out. I was surprised at such great pizza from an unassuming little walk in pizza place(they do have a couple table if you want to sit, but its not restaurant style.) The staff was really friendly too. I’m going back to try classic pepperoni next time. Way to keep it real Rizzo’s.

Rizzo’s not so fine pizza. Had LOTSLOTS better than this truly less than average pizza! Ordered delivery at a friends place. Large square thin crust cheese pizza. Delivered to your door lukewarm and definitely not delicious. Not much to say here about truly less than average pizza and garlic knots, not much flavour in either. I also hate it when the cheese slides off the pizza! I do enjoy hot pizza so 2 thumbs down to this place! 5 stars for the coca cola as I haven’t had one in over a year and it tasted soooooo good.

I loved the crust, sauce was fine, the toppings didn’t seem to be of very high quality. It was actually one of the better pizzas I tried on that block. I REALLY dug the crust so the top of the pizza kind of gets a pass. I’ll be sure to think twice about toppings when I go back. They appear to be doing mostly delivery business so there was no wait or anything. In and out super quick

I became a huge fan of the Astoria Rizzo’s when my husband lived nearby. I wasn’t sure how the Upper East Side offshoot would stand up to a classic, but I did two test runs: a square pie delivery and a post-work slice stop. Naturally the freshly made square pie delivery was delicious. A somewhat thicker crust, spoonfuls of umami-laden, chunkier sauce, and one delicate rectangle of mozzarella. This is their signature pizza, and never fails. The slice stop was good as well. Since they’re on Lexington, they get a decent amount of turnover, which equates to relative freshness. In addition to my favorite square slice, I tried a sotto sopra slice, with garlicky crust, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and herbed ricotta. That was awesome too! Pro-tip: they’re on seamless too, so you can be antisocial like me if you want!
