Spring Dry Cleaners

I live around the corner and had been a customer for at least a year. Laundry was always satisfactory, they never hemmed anything correctly, and they lost $ 600 worth of my dry cleaning back in September. In October, they told me they were still looking for it and to come back in a «few days», which they kept telling me for several weeks. Eventually, they admitted to losing my things and asked me to produce receipts for the lost items, which I did for 2 of the 3 pieces. Since November, I have stopped in almost once a week asking where my reimbursement is. t’s now January and they continue to string me along, telling me the manager will call me. I have not received a phone call and have not seen .01 penny of the $ 600 worth of clothing they lost.
If you are deciding on a laundromat/​dry cleaner, use the one across the street!!!

Love this place. Not only is it reasonably priced, but what sets it apart is the extraordinary service. The staff are incredibly professional, hardworking, and friendly. They seem to really value their customers and always get the job done, whether it’s wash, dry cleaning, alterations, or all of the above! It’s just an added benefit that every time I go in (which is frequently), someone is always there with a smile to assist me, and I always leave feeling happy.

Great service, free pick up and delivery. $ 10 credit card minimum is about right for the amount that I normally have cleaned.

These guys are amazing. I’ve been using them for 8 months. No lost clothing, very prompt return time, and free delivery and pick-​up which is always under a half hour. What more could you want? These also did some great and reasonable alterations for me. I can’t recommend these guys enough! Sending some love from 287.

Very average, with several hiccups during my first experience.
I recently moved to the area and was very thorough in comparing the pricing, online reviews, and newness of machines across all the options nearby. Pricing comes out to be nearly the same for wash and fold service among all of them at a 15lbs load which is my average.
What won me over to Spring Cleaners is that they had a Unilocal Deal of $ 35 for $ 50 worth of spend. So I figured that’s some nice savings and I bought it. Went straight to them to redeem and drop off my 15lbs. Well, unfortunately that coupon is not valid for Wash & Fold. But that wasn’t stated anywhere on there nor in the fine print. And they knew it. I told the lady that it’s not mentioned anywhere; she laughed and said «I know, you can talk to my boss tomorrow if you want» — but considering I had all that laundry with me already I wanted to just get it done. So I said OK, load it onto my account, and maybe over time I’ll use it for Dry Cleaning. But yet again, no go. She said the $ 50 has to be used in one swing or the rest falls through. Well that’s not going to happen since $ 50 worth of dry cleaning at my pace would require more shirts than I own. So I contacted Unilocal for a refund.
After all was said and done, I checked my laundry upon pick-​up the day after. It was clean (I guess), smelled like some sort of spices more than like detergent or bleach (I had all whites and asked for bleach at $ 1 extra) but that’s fine. The part I didn’t like was that they lost 1 sock and also 1 undershirt of time. Not a lot at a 15lbs load but then again if that happens every time I’ll be out of socks and undershirts after a few months. So I’ll be exploring other options in the area.

Today was my first day trying Spring Dry Cleaners and I loved it. It’s pretty difficult to find good self-​service laundry in the West Village, so I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Pretty large, very clean, staff was extremely friendly upon entering, and the prices were very reasonable. $ 3.50 for one load of wash, $.25 per 5 minutes of drying. The staff was also very helpful. I will definitely be making this my regular laundry spot!

I’ve only ever had great experiences with these guys. Friendly service, timely turnaround and good quality cleaning for both wash and fold and dry cleaning. Prices for laundry are comparable to other NYC cleaners. I can’t speak to their delivery or tailoring, but I’d suspect both are quite good given how they conduct themselves in store and how much business they seem to have in both.
As to responsibility, I left my Social Security Card in a suit I dropped here, and they made sure to keep the card safe and let me know I’d left it! I’m a moron, but they’re great.
I’ve moved out of NYC now and can only say that I regret that I won’t have their services in the future. Great neighborhood cleaners.

Just moved to the neighborhood, and we feel like we lucked out with these guys.
Affordable and dependable cleaners with a friendly, responsible staff. If I didn’t live in the area, I’d still take my clothes here.

Totally non-​communicative. They haven’t delivered my laundry and will not pick up the phone. This is not the first time they have done this but it’s the last time for me. The laundry is done well, but twice they have washed the lights with dark, so I have a few gray items…

This is a friendly, clean, speedy, and relatively reasonably priced dry cleaners — what more could you want! I’ve tried a few places since moving to the neighborhood and found this place to be the cleanest and have the best prices. They are also open early in the morning and open 7 days a week which I find really useful.

The location is great, and their new space is nice and well organized.
I brought clothes here because of some bad experiences at Jane Laundromat across the street — the clothes never smelled clean or fresh after being done there. But the same problem happened here at Spring too! Very disappointing.
I chose them because of their good Unilocal reviews, but now that I look back on them, I think they’ve been bought. All have very similar language and not particularly good grammar or spelling. Sigh.

They move to 45 8^th ave now. And they have all brand new washing machine and dryer. You can drop off your clothes or wash by yourself. The new space is bigger and brighter, also have several seats for self service. Now, they can provide 3-​hours wash&fold express service! How amazing!

Spring cleaners is good, reliable and quick cleaners in west village. I always drop off my shirts and suits, my wife’s staff here. Every time, they return very clean and well pressed, most of stains I show them come out. They special care, never ruin my wife’s delicate silk dress. If you request, they can do same day cleaning for you!

The staff is nice if the clothes come back clean and undamaged but very poor customer service if something goes wrong. I came in with a suit (that I had tailored and given to me as a gift). I asked to have it dry cleaned. When I received it, there was a DIME-​sized hole in the breast collar. When I questioned the staff about it each member shouted at me saying that the hole was there before I gave it to them. I said that I wore the suit recently many times and for formal events and there is no way I would not have noticed a dime sized hole in the front breast collar. They would not entertain my interest in receiving a refund and (store policy credit). They instead told me to speak to their manager. This took two weeks before I was able to speak with him. Though I eventually received a refund (albeit well under the cost of the suit) — I never once received an apology. Very poor customer service

I’m going to give them a second chance. Because of how they handled their mistake.
I dropped off 25 pounds of wash and fold. I asked them to separate them. They didn’t. They washed my new red jeans with my whites. So I got back a pile of pinks.
But, I didn’t have to raise a stink or fuss at them. I just had to ask, and they rewashed everything for free. Even dry cleaning the items that were the red-​splotchiest. And they had a great attitude about it.
I still see a slight pink tinge on some things. But I think that’s because I KNOW. I don’t think others will notice.
So I’m gonna drop off a few more pounds tonight. I’ll keep you posted.
