Tried to call to make an appointment twice and no one ever answered. Came in person twice and waited ten minutes each time and no one was ever there. Disappointed.

It takes talent to make a painful, awkward experience enjoyable. Well done, I’ll come back.

So I’ve been to the midtown a few times and I have been happy with the results. Today I went downtown for the first time! This place is ultra feminine and pink! I was seen by Olga. She was easy going and friendly! She was waiting for me when I arrived and she showed me to the room. I had a deep Brazilian which was quick and not too painful! Naturally some swelling on my sensitive skin but nothing compared to what I’ve experienced with hot wax in the past! I will see Olga again in a few weeks!

Today was my first time sugaring (Brazilian) and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I had soft wax/​strip Brazilians done for years, but they always seemed to leave my sensitive pores bright red. Not cute. Then I tried my hand at hard wax, since I had read about how hard wax only adheres to your hair and not the skin itself (as soft wax does), but the technique of the hard wax rips themselves (waaaaay too slow) were just too painful to bear, and after my last try at that, I was left with many, many ingrowns to boot. No thanks. I then did some reading up on sugaring and realized it appeared to have the best of both worlds: the paste would not adhere to my skin, and the ripping technique seemed to be fast. Hurray! So I booked an appt. yesterday at their FiDi location (near my job) and was able to get in there today already.
Olga was a bit late for my appt. due to train trouble, but I didn’t mind. I am not someone to get bent out of shape about such things as long as the person is courteous, which she certainly was, and very apologetic too. No big deal. The sugaring process itself is a GODSEND. She did warn me that the first time is usually a bit painful, but being that I’d just come off a couple difficult hard wax sessions where I was nearly in tears, this was a piece of cake! The paste is smoothed on in several small strokes, and because of that, you don’t know exactly when the rip is coming and therefore there’s less anxiety involved in waiting for «the rip.» And being that the rip itself goes WITH the direction of growth, that makes it SO much less painful than ANY type of waxing, which all goes against the direction of growth. I also love that the paste is an all-​natural formula of water, sugar and lemon, without any chemicals, and that it does not leave any sticky residue — nor am I left with any pain or stinging afterwards, which I ALWAYS was after any type of waxing. Olga also gave me a $ 10 discount due to her lateness, which I could tell she truly felt sorry for, and I certainly appreciate good customer service and am always more inclined to give my money to businesses who care about making their customers happy.
Overall, it was a great experience and I certainly imagine that I will be back every month indefinitely. I’ll never go back to waxing. Thank you, Olga!

I was so nervous at first to get a wax, but after doing much research, I decided to go to Sugaring NYC because of the great reviews, and the fact that it is less painful and better for your skin. The staff is very accommodating, youthful and makes you feel very comfortable. I’m going on vacation in two weeks so I am definitely looking forward to scheduling my next appointment because the results are worth every penny! :)

Priya is amazing. Beautiful too, she explained to me how organic the sugar waxing is. She talked with me throughout the session, not only to distract me from the pain, but just to have a general convo. I would definitely recommend Sugar Waxing NYC in the financial district area. I highly recommend going to Sugaring NYC! I’ve been looking for a good sugaring place for a while and it doesnt get any better than this. I’ve had appointments with Saudia and Koko and they are both equally great with the sugaring. They make the whole process comfortable and pain free. Prices are reasonable as well. Definitely make an appointment with these girls, you can’t go wrong with this place.

I have very sensitive skin and this is quite honestly now my only option in terms of hair removal. Waxing left inflammation and redness that was really very unsightly. I’m very happy to have discovered this alternative.

Sugaring NYC is my answer to painful hair removal and skin irritation. The staff is friendly, accommodating and sweet. I get no rashes or irritation like I did with waxing.

Where do I start I needed to try something new after having a bad experience (inside burn) at the European wax center. It was nice and empty I’m guessing because of the snowy days but that wasn’t stopping me; Priya was nice soon as I entered and she remembered me from calling this morning to see if they were open. I knew the first time experience was going to be painful 1. Because I had let ah bush grow out lol and 2. All first experiences are painful lol but it was worth the oooo and ahhhhh I love how it looks now very refreshed and the cute glitter tattoos they offer after are ah plus; I already booked my 4wk appt. Sugaring is better than waxing so if you’re looking for better results give this a try and see Priya she’s the sweetest

Sugaring is the only way to go, and Sugaring NYC is the only place in Manhattan that does the real deal (as far as I have been able to find).
The girls are all super sweet, the results are great, and very reasonable prices!

Sugaring has changed my life and this is the best sugaring place I’ve ever been too! The pain is so minimal and for thick, ingrown prone hair like mine that means a lot! The people are so nice and helpful, and it is always so quick! This place is perfection and also so affordable! Noting bad to say!

Once I found this place, I haven’t been anywhere else since! Thank goodness a friend of mine told me about Sugaring NYC. The staff is very nice! And the décor is so cute and girly. I love a sugar wax because it really lasts longer than a regular Brazilian. Plus it doesn’t hurt as much as you may think it would!

A friend of mine introduced me to Sugaring NYC, and I was a little scared/​skeptical at first. I had never waxed or sugared before. As soon as I tried it, I was HOOKED! I just moved to NY from LA and was dying to find a good Sugaring spa! It is so much better than waxing and easier on your skin.
I made an appointment, and was so amazed at how prompt, polite and personable the staff was! They made sure I was comfortable (I was 6 months pregnant the first time I went) and didn’t hesitate to take care of all of my sugaring needs.
