Terrible. Would not waste my time again. Very greasy, salty, and generally tastes unhealthy. I tried the young chow fried rice, sweet & sour pork ribs, dumplings, and spring rolls. The only good item was the steamed dumplings. Don’t waste your money

This is the one and only for over 20 years and my «last meal on earth» destination: while I’m alive, this place better stay in business or else I will be at a great loss

This place is awesome. $ 6 lunch and it’s super delicious! Can’t beat that! Not to mention they can prepare in meal in less than 5min!!! Be sure to bring cash. I love the diced chicken and peanuts and the shrimp with broccoli is amazing too.

I’ve loved SK since my wife introduced me to the place when it was a restaurant on 76th street. Chef’s special beef and chef’s special chicken are standouts, as is the hot sesame noodles.

Delicious. I came here for the lunch special and ordered sesame chicken($ 6) and shrimp lo mein($ 7, for later). Both were delicious. The sesame chicken came with ample broccoli and the chicken was of a much higher quality than most small Chinese restaurants like this one. The lo mein also did not dissapoint. The only thing keeping it from five stars is the lunch portions being a little small. Most take out Chinese restaurants of this ilk usually offer soup and an egg roll with their lunch special, but not here. The lunch portion was enough food, but I could definitely have done with a bit more. I will absolutely be returning here quite often.

The best Chinese Food in New York. Chef’s Special Chicken is still the best with pignoli nuts on top. All there special dishes are great. Been eating there since late 70’s Restaurant is only take-out it used to be a sit down on 76 street! It’s a must whenever your on UES !

If I could get be this place negative stars I would. I love Chinese food! This is by far the absolute worst, sorry excuse for Chinese food I have ever had. I had to give most of it to my dog, and she looked mildly amused at best. To top it off the guy who took my order was beyond rude. Also, what Chinese place doesn’t have egg rolls? Don’t go here if you want good food. I will never go back.

I was told that this place has the best chinese food in the UES so I gave it a try. I RARELY order food and RARELY get chinese food but because this places is apparently one of the best, I picked up the phone and got these for delivery. I was told I MUST get the Chef’s Beef Special and Pork Fried Rice, we shared these and also added the Diced chicken with peanuts for our order. This place didn’t have a menu and/or website link on Unilocal so I made the extra effort to google the menu instead of looking up somewhere else. We ordered around noon on a Sunday and we got our food in 15 minutes– super quick! I’ll be honest. i don’t like Chinese/Szechuan food and never order fried rice for myself. I’ll just say. the pork fried rice was SOGOOD.(It’s’ the perfect hangover greasy food too). There was something about this that was very addicting. My friend and I couldn’t stop eating it. Everything, the rice and diced veges, even including the rice, were«soft». I don’t know if it’s because of the oil that made it seem soft but it was absolutely great. I would definitely just get this too. The Chef’s Beef Special was salty and the Diced chicken with peanuts was even saltier but it had lots of meat and peanuts for the latter one. It was a pretty good combo with the fried rice. They forgot to give us utensils and napkins so that was a bum but other than that our take out Szechuan was great :) We paid $ 33 for these 3-so probably not the cheapest chinese takeout/delivery(I think.) but definitely worth it. It’s a lot of food too, –us two girls finished half of everything.

I don’t know why but some Chinese just don’t reli like Chinese(or they just being a dick to everyone)… FYI I’m from Hong Kong and I speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English. When I walk in there I talk with a guy in Mandarin and ask him for suggestion, his Mandarin isn’t very good so I ask him would you like me to speak in Cantonese(that’s my first language and I know his too) and he kinda give a that look and start saying in Eng and said whatever u like. And he walk away from me and didn’t give me any help for my order. So, I walk away. I’m not saying that their food must be bad just because they are rude to me, but personally I just don’t like this place.

Best Chinese food in all of the ues(by far). They are not on seamless and only take cash but well worth it. Absolutely love the beef with string beans and chicken with broccoli. Cashier is not overly friendly but is never rude or mean. All my friends love this place to. Too bad this place closes so early(10pm).

Update: I ordered from them a couple more times since my last review. I’m obsessed with their spring rolls. That’s all.

I’m going to make this short and sweet: the spring rolls here are the biggest and best I’ve ever had!

Small takeout place in UES. Food quality is acceptable for UES. Generally on the heavier side(greasy and salty) but not too spicy. Good serving portion. Price is expected UES price. Little wait time. A little disappointed as it dose not have the typical Szechuan food I had in mind.

Not sure how this place averages 4 stars… Came here today(a Sunday afternoon) and ordered some take out sesame chicken. The price was okay for the portion as I was given the lunchtime pricing($ 6). The taste was super salty with just a hint of sweet which isn’t traditionally what I experienced as sesame chicken. There was way too much sauce on the chicken which was very bad quality dark meat chicken. The saving grace was that the portion was very well distributed(not too much rice and plenty of chicken and broccoli). The staff was also super friendly. I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here too often but if you’re stuck in a bind with needing a quick bite, this should suffice.

Didn’t like it. And no fortune cookie. It wasn’t that terrible, but I don’t comprehend 4 stars. That’s why I’m giving them one.

Just walked over to order the Hot Spiced Sliced Chicken to go… this place feels clean and bright, with an open kitchen. Definitely a nice change from the typical Chinese take out joints, where the kitchen is hidden from within and everything in front looks a bit stained and greasy. The hot spiced sliced chicken dish was pretty tasty, would have prefer it to be more spicy… but its a good meal nevertheless.

This is some delicious, quick, fresh Chinese food. I was impressed by how quickly the food was prepared and how fresh everything tasted! Usually after eating Chinese, I feel a little grimy because of how greasy the food can be. Not the case here– I felt like the food had enough flavor(and was deliciously spicy) without being extremely greasy. Lots of veggies, too! My friends and I came here for lunch, and three meals came out to a little over $ 15(we all had leftovers, too)! Great prices! Keep in mind that this place is for take-out/delivery only and is cash only.

I almost never order in, and when I do it’s Chinese and when I do, I use seamless. This spot isn’t on Seamless! However, I had heard good things, so I went old school and picked up the phone! I even went to pick it up! It was ready fast and was piping hot. The chicken with broccoli was on point, great flavor and good chicken and soaked broccoli. Yummm. I also had the vegetable lomein which was a little flavorless and disappointing. The potions are huge and Chinese leftovers are the best, so I’m okay with it! Prices are pretty standard for Chinese especially in the area. There’s a lot of mediocre Chinese food in the area, this spot is one of the better ones.

Fried rice: decent, except they might have burnt it because it has an odd after taste. General tso chicken: not good! Taste like mystery meat. Rubbery and weird Beef and bok Choy: ok Delivery was fast but would prefer to wait longer for good food. Wouldn’t recommend going back to Sunnys my usual.
