Good food, cheap prices! I order from this truck every time i’m in the area.

CASHONLY: Ordered two chicken tacos, they were allllriiiight. The tortillas tasted somewhat clay-like(don’t ask me how I know what clay taste like lol) and the chicken didn’t have much flavor. The people who work there only know spanish fyi, but they do have photos of mostly everything they have on the menu so just point and smile. Prices are $ 3.00 for each taco, which isn’t bad but I won’t be going back.

Good Food, cheap price. Generous with the extra veggies and sauce. Tried the tacos dorados, steak torta, and several burritos, all delicious. It’s a college kid’s dream come true.

I’m really confused by people who don’t like this taco truck! Like many others I was introduced to this late night life saver post a Bikram session a few years ago. The tacos here are reliably good and cheap. What else do you want? I go for a steak taco or hard shell quesadilla with«everything» on it. 2 is enough to satisfy. They deliver too 10 dollar minimum. Not bad… Not bad at all!

no bueno… this guys always try to take advantage of you… their tacos are ok; but their service is bad. I ordered a few tacos and i asked them if i could get an extra guacamole with it and they told me that that was fine; i ended it up getting like a oz of green liquid«A.K.A guacamole» for my 4 tacos and i was charged an extra 2 bucks for it; I called them just to be told that they did send me the xtra stuff and that they only charge me a buck for it; and yeah. Good luck trying to talk to this Mexicans. This is not the first time guys, but i hope is my last getting from there.

Wow — so glad I finally stopped by! Admittedly, some of their tacos are not great. Skip the carnitas — not good. But the super quesadilla(grande, not regular), the tacos al pastor and arabes, the huarache, sopes, and tostadas(with chorizo or steak) are awesome! The fried porgie(mojara) is really great too. Take one home with the tortillas and salsas and enjoy the original fish taco. AND they deliver! Totally worth it!

For the most part I’m a big fan of this taco truck located on 145th Street,(between Amsterdam and Broadway). I’ve dropped by a couple of times over the last year and have generally been satisfied with the food each time I’ve gone. The menu here is pretty long and has lots of Mexican fast food items, although I’ve only tried try their tacos so far. What I like most about this place though is that they take the time to carefully prepare each taco. No rushing! The meat inside the taco is always well seasoned and the toppings; guacamole/salsa sauce always seem freshly made. Out of about five visits to this truck so far, I’ve only been disappointed once when I came in the afternoon before their official opening time and they made me a pair of beef and pork tacos with obviously reheated leftover meat from the day before. Fortunately, I’m willing to over look that one instance and will now go only after I know that they’ve been open for an hour or so,(6PM opening on weekdays and 12 Noon on weekends). If not for that incident, I would have given them 4 stars. But, If all goes well in the next few months I will update them to four stars.

Finally had a chance to try Taco Express, conveniently located a few blocks away from me in Harlem, where we have a serious dearth of tasty restos. I’m no taco aficionado, so I kept it simple: one chorizo taco and one steak taco to go for $ 5. The tacos were still piping hot when I got them home and came with salsa, lime wedges and«guacamole.»(The guac was so watery that I found it unappetizing and didn’t use it.) I thought the chorizo was plenty spicy, contrary to a previous reviewer. The steak was yummy as well. I’m happy to see that they deliver — I foresee many dinners from this taco truck!

I appreciate that they deliver and are open late. And that they have Jarritos. I don’t appreciate that most nights I pass by, they holla lol

real good mexican food truck, some of the best tacos I have ever had. You have to try the tongue. They have plenty of tasty sides to spice up your taco a little more as well. Better than the taco trucks on bedford ave.

This taco truck is OK. Keep in mind you are calling a cell phone when you are placing the order. I believe they open from 6pm — 2am during the week. I’m not sure if they do late-night delivery. I get dinner delivered from them once in a while. The last time I ordered they forgot the avocado I requested on the tacos, and tacos are not the same without avocados(for me at least). The gorditas were ok but I’ve had better.

I’m Mexicana from Juarez who recently relocated to NYC from Denver, CO. I know a good taco al pastor when I see and taste one and this taco truck is legit! Delicious and quick! Everything here is almost as good as home! Delicious! Cheap! And great and authentic mexican food in new York!

Everyone I bring to the neighborhood agrees that the food here is as good as any Mexican food they’ve had, truck or not. I went through a two-month spell where I had dinner here at least 3 times a week. They offer a ton of meat choices and the vegetarian tacos are 100% vegan and consistently delicious. The condiments change every day, but they always green and red salsas. Go. Go now. If you are feeling frisky, get a few tamales from Yolanda at 145th and Broadway to round out your dinner.

These guys bring you fresh authentic tacos and other Mexican delights. It’s a truck but they always ask if its to stay or to go! I guess that’s because its so good you will want to join the locals and wolf down a couple just sitting on the stoop across from the truck. They make fresh horchata and jamaica too. The other day I really wanted a shrimp taco or tortilla, but they don’t serve them. They had a dried shrimp dish, but the guy convinced me to try the fish dish instead. It was fried mojarra and it was DELICIOUS. I don’t usually like fish with head and bones when I am starving(too much work) — but the meat came off like ripe fruit. It was tasty — came with a bunch of delicious side salads and wonderful sauces. All for less than $ 10. YUM! Really nice people and hard workers are there from 6PMish to like 2AM… Plus they deliver — from the truck via bike to you!

Love it. Yeah, yeah, I’m not Mexican, but my boyfriend sure is and we get what we call the«Taco Truck Craving» at least once every two weeks. Give it a chance, you’ll see why. We stumbled upon it on accident one night coming home late from a Yankees game and we were starving. We were a bit hesitant, but couldn’t resist after seeing them hand-make their tortillas(along with the long line of Mexican customers). One bite, we were in heaven. Want a piece of this celestial pie? Easy formula: 1 quesadilla gigante + 1 jarritos de mandarin = You feeling lied to all your life about Mexican food.

Yet another band o’brethren that have left me disappointed & feeling empty inside. I think I’m seriously considering givin’ up on the Taco Fight. I think this is taking a toll on the Mexican soul. One star for being just a couple of blocks away from the pad & another star for accessible prices, decent horchata(in comparison to all the bullshit being served at other ‘Mexican’ joints) & two-tortilla tacos. Here’s what the disappointment entailed: –a couple of carnita tacos –a chorizo sope –a couple of small quesadillas to go The carnita tacos were *eh*. I didn’t have any appreciation for the fragments of bone & cartilage up in the meat(that’s sheer laziness… ask any taquero) & the odd thing of having the cilantro not really have any flavor(I ordered extra cilantro too, ’cause I love it so much). The chorizo sope was a little bit better, however the sope was prefabricated(you could taste that freezer flavor *yuck*) & the chorizo itself had sauteed onions up in it’s mix(not even diced up, they way some Mexicans do it… but straight up long strands… just not my forté) & didn’t have that extra hot kick chorizo tends to have. The ‘quesadillas’ *oohh weee*, who in the hell made up this concoction? They should be taken out back of the taco truck & killed via stoning… so they can feel the pain I felt when I saw & tasted this. 1st they were made in a homemade prefabricated taco SHELLS; tasteless, what I want to think is, Oaxaca cheese; drowned in pinto bean broth with a couple of beans here & there; shredded lettuce & drizzled sour cream with a touch o’super-watery ‘guacamole’. Seriously, that watered-down ‘guac’ almost made me want to puke(no kidding). Someone should be shot for that recipe. Ain’t no way in hell ANYONE is going to tell me that quesadillas are made in taco shells with lettuce, sour cream & a sorry excuse of ‘guacamole’ put on top… AND drowned in pinto bean broth!!! What in the!!! The green sauce helped the eating cause alot though. Will I be going back? You bet yer’ass… A) ’cause it’s *that* close to the crib B) I gotta check out their other menu items & pray I find *something* good

While nothing beats the tacos that I’m used to devouring in my native hometown of SoCal(or better yet, the tacos you can get from the streets in Mexico City), Taco Express gives it a good try. I can only comment on the tacos, which, in my opinion were better than decent. The carnitas(pork) tacos are the best. All the ingredients were fresh(at least they tasted so). Not only was my appetite satisfied after consuming three tacos in one sitting, I didn’t feel like there was a bowl of concrete sitting in my stomach. You can also get Horchata(Rice Milk drink) here! What else can I say? The food is good and the price is certainly right($ 2/taco; $ 1 drinks).

I have to cosign on this taco truck. They have a wide variety of offerings and when you see authentic Mexicans bringing their whole families out to eat the food and really savor it, then you know that you’ve found a good taco truck. Try their sopas and other offerings! And did I mention that the price is right and the truck is well staffed. Everything made fresh to order.
