:insert 70’s moustache: «I Love to Cuddle» This no frills beer/wine/sports bar is a total hit! Complete with a random smattering of hells kitchen gays and their straight boyfriends. Drink menu is perfect for all.

I’ve lived in Hells Kitchen for 5 years, and this place had the rudest bartenders I have ever experienced. Its no wonder they are shut down. Example: I paid my tab and left a $ 10 tip on a $ 50 tab. The bartender misread the 10 for a 1, and without even asking me if it was incorrect, turned around, rand a bell and yelled«Asshole tipper». Needless to day it was quite embarrassing. I never leave less than 20%… this bartender was an idiot. Hopefully those idiot bartenders do not end up at another local bar here in HK.

My ABSOLUTE favorite bar in Hell’s Kitchen. I’ve never had a bad night at this bar! When I first moved to the city, this was the place I went to all the time and I fell in love with it’s friendly atmosphere and great staff. I even consider some of the bartenders to be good friends of mine. The drink specials and happy hour specials are unlike any other and these guys don’t skimp on the alcohol. I’ve had my birthday party there at no charge, reserved space for nothing at all, celebrated New Year’s and the Super Bowl at TheSnug and enjoyed it more and more each time! Yes, there may not be a huge beer selection, the music may change depending on who is bartending BUT it’s a nice place to kick back after a long day. A place you can go and not worry about a bad crowd or a crowd in general. I love this place. Life long patron!

Beer selection poor, staff bored, crowd great, music average. Definitely not a location you’d plan to go to, but if you’re passing might be worth a drive by beer or 2. Biggest problem, their Jameson is undrinkable! And every bottle of flavored vodka is full to the top, that never happens is a bar! Are you getting the theme here?

What a happy hour! 11am-7pm?! $ 5 cosmos, appletinis and well drinks.(Also some beer choices, but I can’t comment on those.) How can you go wrong with that? The only thing that would make it better would be dancing go-go boys and girls that sit on your lap for free while the delicious looking bartenders go shirtless with short shorts while they pour their drinks! Go! Go now!

For HH only(it’s concerning how many HH-only reviews I’m writing)! They have $ 5 cosmo and appletini cocktails during HH till 7pm(wkdays only I assume?). The appletini was strong and tasty! I can easily have 2 or 3 but I stopped at 1 which already put me in a pretty happy state. 2 draft beer — the Snug Ale and the Yuenling was $ 4 during HH. It wasn’t packed at all when we arrived at about 6pm and it’s a good place to get a drink and have a chat before dinner.

The Snug is an nice place to grab a drink in Hell’s Kitchen. I found this place when I was looking for a place to throw darts in the neighborhood, and they have one dart board here, so, I have been here a bunch of times. They have an average tap beer selection here, nothing to make it a destination for craft beer fans… especially since there are so many craft brew options in the neighborhood. But, it is a cozy place, a mixed crowd, and they have a late night happy hour(from 11pm to 2am), so it’s a good place to go to grab a few drinks and relax. It’s not a huge place(hence the name Snug… or just a happy coincidence), but whenever I’ve been there it’s been an eclectic crowd, some locals, some tourists, and friendly bartenders. Cheers!

You know that feeling when you’ve written a review that perfectly expresses how you feel about a place, and you’re ready to hit Post, then one wrong keystroke deletes the whole thing? That’s what I’m feeling now. But in the words of Unilocal,That was fun, let’s go again! Anyway, I’ve been here several times and remain unimpressed. I like the wood décor, but the beer selection is completely average. Combine that with no attached kitchen, and I don’t see anything that separates Snug from the gajillion other faceless bars in the city. It’s just another place to have a Sam Adams and shout over the music. Service is pretty much crap too; this is best exemplified by my visit there the other night. I was asking the bartender a question as he brought my drinks about a bourbon I saw they had, but he walked away while I was mid-sentence. This was a quiet night customer-wise so he didn’t have any other orders to fill, but instead went back to his conversation with a co-worker. I caught his attention a couple minutes later but he just nodded at me and kept talking. If I’m still standing at the bar with my drinks and have caught your eye, I probably have a question or another order, right? Ah well, I gave up and went back to my table. This is simply not a place to seek out; walking fifty feet in any direction will find you a better bar.

it’s a pub! Brought here by family who live nearby. I agree with others, there’s nothing fancy about this place, however, we enjoyed the company around us and struck up some fun conversations since we were from California and people thought we had a funny accent. haha!!!

The Snug in three lines: Good atmosphere. Poor selection. Abysmal service. Not worth a second visit(or, really, even a first). Advice to would-be bar employees: don’t ever take an empty beer glass off a patron’s table without asking if he’d like another beer or even making eye contact. Also: if happy hour ends at 7pm and the clock reads 7:01… Give the patron the happy hour rate.

Went here for Lunch and ordered a burger. They don’t have a kitchen in house which is fine but when the food arrived(from across the street) it was wrapped in a «Lucky Burger» foil. Don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of Lucky Burger but if that’s what I wanted I would have gone across the street and ordered one there without a markup.

Neighborhood bar. You get a mix of patrons due to its location close enough to theaters — some tourists, some locals, some young, some old. Multiple tables and several tvs. They have a dart board though it blocks the path to the restrooms. I would say prices are reasonable but I counted my change and think the bartender charged me $ 7 for a bud light draft. I know this is NYC but that is a bud light draft order! I think he made a mistake. So just check your prices and check your change. Don’t be shy about it. I’d go back if I lived nearby.

Don’t stress, things aren’t that snug in here. Legit spot for happy hour if you’re in the area. Beer glass with a crack in it though, not a good look. I think the best thing about this spot and we found out as we were leaving … you can bring food in from anywhere and nosh. Which is a good thing because the menu is terrible. I would probably sit there for hours, drinking my face off, trying not to cut my lip of my cracked glass, get sloshed and talk about how badly I want a slice a pizza but then go get gelato. Any bar that offers this, gets a gold star in my book. Not sure how this spot is into the evening hours but I’m sure its a decent go to neighborhood bahhh.

This has always been a favorite spot of mine. Friendly bartenders and the crowd is always a pleasantly eclectic mix, nothing pretentious. Great music, lots of 90’s hits you forgot you loved, and if you’re nice to Kian he’ll take requests. I work most weekend nights and greatly appreciated their late night happy hour($ 4 well drinks, cosmos, and snug ale until 1am every day of the week!) untilllll they got rid of it a few weeks ago… They have replaced it with a half-assed«special» of $ 5 well drinks, etc. Sunday through Wednesday. Weekends at the Snug have since been quieter. For a dollar more per drink, Lincoln Park is right down the street with an amazing selection of food annd they still uphold the dying courtesy of buybacks.

Great neighborhood bar, nothing fancy but friendly bartenders and reasonable prices. Lots of TV for sports viewing. Turned out to be a great place to watch the Superbowl – everyone having a good time but not crazy crowded or loud. Kind of a post-college crowd. One thing to remember – do NOT order food from their limited menu of burgers and hot dogs. Seems they don’t have a kitchen in the back, more like a can opener and a microwave. They will gladly let you bring in food from the outside and there are plenty of options nearby.

I love this place! Their happy hour is great and it happens twice each night — till 1am even on the weekends! The bartenders are friendly AND they let you bring takeout from other places — Pure Thai is right nearby and it’s amazing w/a cold beer! Check it out!

Went for Happy Hour on a Wednesday and it wasn’t packed. I didn’t have to yell over any loud music. Not sure if every evening is this chill. I tried their special draft, «The Snug» or «The Snuggle». I didn’t care for it, but only because I prefer a bolder tasting beer. It was served cold and served with a smile. A few brews later(different beers), I left with a smile.

Decent bar with a great late hour happy hour for $ 4 drinks! :) Kind of tiny compared to the usual bars I go to but I come here cause they have late happy hour and darts.

A-OK drink prices. A-OK choices of draft beers. A-OK happy hour. Decibels were through the roof, but that was OK since I was drunk and probably adding to the din. I think 3 rounds of drinks for 3 people cost about $ 60 with tax, and we were not drinking anything well(booze) or domestic(beer). With that said, there are places that I like more, and will probably only come back if I am shitfaced and walking by… which, incidentally, is what happened last night.

This is going to sound awful, but I think why I liked this place was because I was able to get this stupid guy to buy me a drink and then ignore him.* But for those who aren’t into the above, this place is good too. Decent music, dart board, nice selection on tap. Benches along the side that can accommodate a party of 4 – 6. I was able to pull up a bar stool in an awkward position and chat away in French with my friend and her boyfriend. There was also a soccer match playing on one of the screens, which was a nice change from the usual multiple-screens with the same game on. So, if I’m in the neighborhood — who knows, might come back! *there is a back story that warrants my churlish behavior — I’m usually more lady-like.
