We were looking for a place to have breakfast. from the outside it seems small, but it’s bigger than you think. the staff is not always friendly but the breakfast was delicious.

Fine little diner — great French toast and husband enjoyed the chicken sandwich. Easy walk from Holiday Inn Express and nice breakfast option!

Food was tasteless and you could tell the ingredients were pretty old and/or canned. The Diet Coke I received tasted really weird and I quickly asked for a replacement water. On the upside, the staff is kind and attentive.

I came here on Sunday after dragging my feet at the Whitney all day, so i had built up quite the hunger, and everyone knows that when real, ravenous hunger hits there’s only one place you want to be: at a diner. I didn’t care what I was about to eat– I just needed to be fed ASAP. We were seated right away and then were greeted with the typical textbook diner menu. They had burgers, grilled cheese, mozz sticks, soups, sandwiches, milk shakes, floats– and salads(I have to admit I judge anyone who orders a salad at a diner). I ordered the chicken parm panini with fries and a strawberry milkshake. The milkshake was beyond delicious! The chicken parm was eh, but I still ate it in less than 5 minutes. After scarfing down my entire meal, I looked up at the table to see everyone taking their first few bites… It definitely cured my hunger and it was super clean inside!

this is a small diner tucked away between 9th and 10th Avenue near Port Authority on 42nd Street. The space is a substantial size and the staff is very helpful. They serve diner food-breakfast, lunch, brunch on the weekends and dinner. They have a full menu. I eat there frequently and am never disappointed but I have never had anything but breakfast. I recommend and will return.

Both my friend and I were unimpressed by this place. The initial impression was positive. We stepped in around 11:30am on a Sunday so the place was packed. So we were hoping for some good ol’ brunch. We ordered from the prefix brunch menu. There were about 14 dishes to choose from and each came with a drink(Bloody Mary, mimosa, screwdriver or a fruit drink) for about $ 15(rounding up). He got the Bacon and asparagus omelette and I got the Denver omelette. Side note: they don’t serve alcoholic drinks until noon. Say wha? I thought this was a brunch menu… so we waited until noon for our mimosas to arrive. No problem. Both omelettes, just by the looks of them were under whelming. No fluff to them, just flat. The home fries were more like sautéed potatoes. None the less we ate our dishes. Service: The lady was prompt with seating us and getting our orders but never were we asked if our food was good or anything. Basically served us… brought out mimosas… gave us our check(which she split for us, so thumbs up to that). No words of thanks for coming or anything. But it was busy so I wasn’t too bothered by it. I only noticed these things because my friend pointed it out. Maybe other dishes on the menu are better, I’m not sure. But I most likely won’t find out because I don’t think I’ll be stopping by for awhile.

With so many diners to chose from, this is not one I will go back to. Service was menial and they didn’t put too much thought or class into this place. I ordered pancakes and the syrup came in tiny packets. Pancakes should come with a glass container of syrup… not cheap, packets. I am in NYC at least once a month and will not be venturing to this diner again. Cheers!

We had complaints about our food and the waiter told us that the manager didn’t want to talk to us. The bathroom door lock was broken and someone walked in while I was using it, not a customer either, the manager. He should know the lock is broken and he didn’t knock or open the door slowly, he threw it open. Worst manager ever!

Never again! I love a good diner, but this wasn’t it. We’re sitting in the booth for a half hour now and I still haven’t had a single water refill. The veggie burger was mush, the tomatoes were meely, and the salad dressing tasted like cleaner fluid. When we asked for the manager he refused to come over, so we had to go up to him. We’re sitting here waiting for the check now, watching other people complain n about their food not showing up. The manager still doesn’t care. There are way better restaurants in the area, don’t bother.

«It is what it is.» It’s a diner in NY. The breakfast was fine. Eggs were cooked as ordered, the potatoes were, in fact, potatoes, and the coffee was not horrible but not great, either. Overpriced? A little. Service a bit haphazard? Yep. So if you just want to sit down and have some calories so you don’t fall over in a faint, this’ll do just fine.

Solid breakfast at a good price! Good coffee and big portions. I also had a take-out BLT sandwich which was very good.

Honestly, this diner is nothing special. Not terrible either, but it just so happens to be in a good location if you’re going to a show and hungry on the way there or back! My boyfriend and I only stop in for a few sweet treats before heading to That Bachelorette Show. Chocolate layer cake — chocolate frosting, light chocolate whipped cream/mousse on the inside and vanilla cake. Chocolate milk — made the old-fashioned way with Whole Milk and Hershey’s syrup. I watched the waiter put it together and was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t ready-made chocolate milk.

They need more waiters at this place. After waiting 15 minutes after being seated, we had to ask a busboy for help. The poor guy who waited on us was sweating from all of the running around. For a Tuesday at 6:30pm, I would expect more than three waiters for a place of this size. Our group of four ordered eggs with french fries and it took quite long for such simple meals. The food was okay and the price with moderate especially for the area. However, the service was definitely lacking. Not impressed. I won’t be back.

It was late, we were hungry and the Theater Row Diner was open. First thing, the menu is pages and pages long and serves a little bit or everything. In cases like that I find the safest bet is the breakfast section which they serve 24 hours a day. I ordered a cheese and mushroom omelette. The omelette arrived quickly but was really brown on the outside. The potatoes and the bagel($.75 upgrade to toast) weren’t bad. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Overall, not a bad chance encounter but it would never be my destination.

One of the first places I ate on my last trip to NYC. Was very impressed with a lunch that was inexpensive and quite tasty. I will keep this place in mind for a quick meal, especially at lunchtime. Service was polite and attentive. Everyone at my table was also impressed. Will go back!

What I’ve had: Two Eggs your way — with wheat toast and potatoes. Speciality omelets. Would I go back?: No Story: Im not really a fan of diners in the first place — the menus are too big and the below average quality stems from that. Every time i’ve come eggs have been over cooked and when i’ve gotten the speciality omelets veggies have been cut too thickly and theres been an overwhelming amount of cheese folded into it. On top of it being greasy. Potatoes and toast have always been the only redeeming factor of the entire meal.

I was very glad to find this place for an after theater dessert since surprisingly some of the other similar type places were closed at 10:30. And I thought New York was the city that never sleeps. It does not look like a typical dinner as it has a modern look to it. Black table tops with silver trim; definitely not the usual diner look but it was a welcome change. We really didn’t order much. Just a few beverages and a couple of desserts to share. I had a pretty tasteless rice pudding and was disappointed. Also, they were out of Sambuca which disappointed someone else in our party. The other pastries consumed seemed fine. Coffee was fresh and service was helpful. Prices very fair.
