So this sounds too good to be true right? That’s what I thought until I went and lost ¾ of an inch on my upper and lower stomach for a total of almost 2 inches in one session. My hunch is that it has to do with muscle contraction. It sounds too good to be true but this is based on FDA approved process that’s been used in physical therapy for years to stimulate muscle memory and strength muscles — losing excess body mass was an unintended side effect. Personally, I’ve been looking for something like this for years after I saw the Bruce Lee movie where he’s using something similar. Let’s face it. We all have pesky problem areas(love handles, sagging triceps, etc) that will not go away no matter how much you work out… okay maybe some of us aren’t working out so much but that’s what 2014 resolutions are for right? The point is that it’s hard to target those areas and have a concentrated effort. Toned Spa has a treatment that focused on targeted areas and uses micro currents to contract muscles and stimulate muscle memory. There’s no other way that I’d get a full workout of 40min on my stomach or triceps so I’m a believer. Am I believer that after one session my body will change forever? Of course not. However, if you go regularly along with a good diet and work out I do believe you’ll work on problem body areas that would otherwise never tone up on it’s own. If anything going to a few sessions made me more motivated to work out because there’s more hope to see a difference. Friends of mine that went regularly saw a noticeable difference in their bodies. If you have a big event … want to get in shape for summer, I’d consider working this into your regular regiment so you get more of an impact for your efforts. The esthetician, Anna, is fantastic. If your up for it she will give you a hand and face massage to relax you during the treatment. Also she’s very knowledgable about skin care and wellness so I just enjoyed chatting with her on the latest products and innovations. The spa is clean and the setting relaxing with dim lights and scented candles.

Perfect if you’re getting ready for an event! I had this done to both my abs and my arms. I lost an inch on my stomach and about half an inch on each arm. I was definitely happy with the results and people kept mentioning how thin and fit I looked in the sleeveless dress I wore to my holiday party the other night. The spa is clean and comfortable and Anna is great about making you feel at ease while she measures you and gets everything set up. The actual treatment might feel a little weird — it’s basically making your muscles contract faster than they would if you were doing a normal workout — but that’s how you know it’s working!

I don’t know about you, but I hate having to work out. I mean, I do it, but there’s nothing more gratifying than getting the results of hitting the gym, better than lying down on top of a spa bed and allowing a bunch of electromagnetic patches do the work for you! This is how it works. The esthetician will ask you which areas you would like to «tone up.» You get to pick one big muscle group and one small muscle group. I chose my abs(big muscle group) and my arms(small muscle group), cause there’s nothing sexier than a toned stomach and sexy arms, right ladies?(Well, a nice booty and legs, too, duh.) Then, she measures you. Don’t be shy, don’t suck in, just be your natural beautiful self and let the machine do the work for you! For 40 minutes(one session), you will feel your muscles contract for 4 seconds at this incredible intensity.(You can literally see your muscles working), then release, contract and release, while, you’re just chillaxing on this comfy spa bed. It’s amazing! After my session, we measured my stomach, I shrank .7 inches — that’s dope! My arms didn’t shrink in size, but I felt like I had done about 25 push-ups. You’ll feel your muscles tighten for about 15 minutes after your session ends. And with all great workouts, make sure you drink lots of water.(Well, except I didn’t work out, but felt like a million bucks afterward.) Oh and the esthetician, Anna, was so sweet and professional. She made me feel comfortable the moment I stepped inside, to the moment I left. I just love great service.
