Service was good, and the food was delicious. We came with our dog and were able to sit outside. They even brought out a bowl of water for her! We recommend the arugula honey bruschetta and the Margharita pizza.

I came for the Happy Hour, and almost didn’t do it because they changed the menu. On Mondays, the happy hour is different on that you don’t get half off the appetizers. You just get a good deal on sangrias. However since they had«free paninis» with a full priced drink on the older menu, they were nice enough to honor that deal. I’m glad I stopped in because the food was really good. The prosciutto panini was quite good, but I liked the beef meatball one better. In addition, we ordered the truffle Mac n cheese, which was awesome as well as the truffle toast. Wow! The toast was quite amazing and came with diced asparagus. The sangrias were also quite good. If you get the normal deal, it’s $ 5 for a healthy glass. Service was great and there is a nice outdoor area in the front as well as an open indoor-outdoor space.

Cute little place. We stopped in just for a few drinks on a Sunday night. Very nice staff. I wasn’t hungry, but whatever they were cooking in the back smelled amazing.

Just had a horrible delivery experience. Ordered two paninis, but only one arrived and charged for two. Called restaurant twice — no answer Called Seamless; took them 20 minutes to reach restaurant and another 20 to get the missing panini delivered. Arrived ice cold. Called restaurant to ask for refund and was told to call Seamless. Seamless did provide a refund. Shame on the restaurant.

Breakfast panini, meat platter, cheese platter(choice of 3) and sangria was great !! The sangrias are large and after the meat and cheese platter we were already full as they were generous servings

Their pizzas are delivered cold and jostled in the box … I called tonight beforehand to speak to a manager and avoid it happening again, but she was not very helpful and I don’t think she spoke to the delivery guy at all because it arrived again very disjointed and some pieces were even bent.

It’s just OK. It’s nice to go to in the summer and sit outside. Very cramped inside. Service is just okay, nothing special.

Cute casual wine bar with modern décor and cozy feel. Outside searing with heat lamps. Extensive wine and cocktail list. Montopicianno was very good. I especially like the solid heavy glasses and they gave a generous amount… Service is friendly. In fact we were sitting there with one glass of wine, and my friend attempted to pay her a second time and she reminded us we had already paid and tipped — a plus for honestly . I had appetizers here a couple times and enjoyed them as well. Recommend as a cozy spot with friends or a date for wine and appetizers.

For almost 40 $ I get my small cold mushroom pizza and asparagus delivery in an hour and after 2 phone calls. No pleasure at all.

Go here for the Happy Hour! They have multiple flavors of sangria and they’re all pretty good, but I would definitely recommend the tropical. They come in huge wine glasses so I feel like I got my money’s worth. The happy hour also includes 50% off appetizers. I’ve tried the burrata cheese(so creamy and delicious) and the cheese and meat board — both are nice compliments to the sangria. The service is pretty attentive. The restaurant itself is quite small, so you often feel like you’re eavesdropping on whomever is sitting next to you. That being said, the ambiance is intimate and romantic for a wine date. I think the regular menu is overpriced, so I would only come for the happy hour special.

Bestie bought a Groupon for $ 24 for $ 45 worth of food during brunch. They do not take reservations so we just headed over there on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm. Vero is cute and tiny with a nice vibe. Bar in the front, table seating along the walls in the back, open kitchen, and small bathroom. Perfect for a casual link with a friend or a date. Our server was very pleasant and friendly, as well as the chef. I don’t like pulp in my OJ but my mimosa was still good. I tried the white sangria and it was okay but it mostly tasted like a sweet white wine on ice. The tropical sangria was perfect for me I ordered the breakfast panini and it was fresh and tasty. The food presentation here is awesome! They have $ 5 Sangrias all day on Sunday’s, free panini Monday and happy hour specials Tues-Sat from 4 – 9. I’m definitely gonna revisit Vero to try some more of the food and wine. Cool spot.

This is a good local bar on the UES. For some reason, when we can’t think of somewhere to go for happy hour and some good food, Vero is our default place(and I’m completely fine with that). It’s a smaller space, but it’s a perfect size for just a chill night with a couple of your friends. It’s nice and cozy without feeling like you’re cramped in there like sardines. I’ve never really seen it get too busy which is probably my favorite part about this place especially in the UES where more and more people are starting to migrate over to these days. All their sangrias are good(Monday nights are $ 5 sangria happy hours). Food is amazing. Truffle Mac and cheese is probably my favorite dish(it’s such a big serving too!) and you can’t go wrong with their pizzas either. Overall, great neighborhood gem.

Came here with my roommate before hitting up a show. Happy hour is just SOWORTHIT! we got fast and friendly service, and the food and drinks are generous compared to the price! 5 dollar sangria with the glass actually filled up all the way! YES, PLEASE! Finally a place that doesn’t overcharge and underserve. Didn’t think that was possible! They have 5 dollar wine and sangria for 5 bucks. And the anti pasti menu is half off. The flatbreads were also amazing! DEFINITELYDEFINITELY recommend this place!

A Dimly-lit and cozy wine bar, perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. We started with an assorted meat and cheese plate. It was delicious with an accompaniment of white truffle oil. The grilled prosciutto and fig panini was tasty and light, paired with one of the best spicy margaritas I’ve ever had. Save room for desert because the Cookie Monster is ridiculously mouth watering.

I’m gonna go with Ver-NO. I mean, the place is kinda cute and the staff is nice enough, but not worth it. I just left there and feel pretty ripped off. TINY salad for $ 14…Chopped salad comes with raisins… apparently they’re listed on the description under some fancy name, but I didn’t notice. Tasted like they dumped a box of sun maid raisins right on top… YUCK! Then Stoli drinks are $ 12 each… for $ 12 I’d at least expect a cocktail with some fancy name and muddled fruit in the bottom… not just a shot of stoli with flat club soda. For realz??? This is the UES, 2nd Ave for Christ’s sake, not Park Ave! I just feel really underwhelmed. If you must, come for happy hour, but skip the normal drink prices or you’ll leave thirsty and broke.

Great cozy lively spot on busy 2nd ave for drinks/wine either in or out. I stopped on Sunday last week. Jess the bartender created such a wonderful time for all who entered. Music was perfect! Tried the Flatbread wild mushroom pizza(delicious)! Thumbs up

I was here this past weekend for a surprise engagement celebration. The person who planned the party said it was exceptionally easy to be in touch and coordinate details. The party itself was great – the space was perfect – we were able to have outdoor/indoor with everyone feeling like they were all together(around 40 people). The staff were so nice and friendly. The drinks were delicious, I had too many, but it’s the weekend, and my work BFF Theresa got engaged, and I’m still single. So, yeah, I had a few drinks, whatever. All in all – great time! They also let us decorate with balloons.

Another great happy hour spot. Tue-Fri $ 5 sangria — try the seasonal watermelon, wine, ½ price antipasti. Mon same deal on drinks with a free small panino.(Their sign says«panini» but you only get one) I started this review months ago, and always think of coming here for hh when in the area. Anyway, today I’ll finish. The day I started, I had their amazing burrata. Definitely recommended! After a long day, plus flying, plus a needy client, I have to meet another client, but ith an hour to kill, I’ve stopped here. It’s Monday, so I’m having a glass of wine(watermelon sangria is not quite in season) and the perfect sized panino. Prosciutto, black mission fig, gorgonzola. Very tasty. For vegetable loves, try the roasted zucchini and goat cheese. I will be back, hopefully more often as I want to try their inexpensive lamb shank as well as their to telling with pear and a multitude of formaggi italiani. This review would not be complete without a mention of the service. Just how it should be… friendly, attentive but never overbearing or obsequious! You should come too!

Valentines Day 2015; you know that means dinner in this beautiful city! My boyfriend, and I, decided to head over to Vero Wine Bar for a bite to eat and some Pinot Grigio… Good thing we were able to make reservations very last minute, since we called about four other places before, and they were booked for the night. We were too excited, and when you were on our way, we got stuck in traffic; we made our reservations for 7PM, and called to inform them that we would be late because of traffic. We arrived at 7:16PM… not bad, not bad. Upon arrival, they greeted us with huge smiles :). The place was like half empty, and we were about to get seated right next to another couple. I asked for a different seat since it almost felt like the seats were arranged in such a way that it would appear as if we were there with the couple that was already there. The woman changed our seats without a problem, something that I really appreciated. The place is small, but it is intimate; small is not always a bad thing… in this case the location being small was not a problem. First, we started with a Pinot Grigio bottle. We had seen some delicious stuff on Unilocal,so we were planning on getting some of the things we saw… when I was asked if I was ready to order, I asked about some of the plates I had seen on Unilocal and I was told that there were two locations, and that one closed down… that those pictures from Unilocal are from the other location(that was closed). We ordered meatballs and a margherita pizzzza… amazinggggg! We ate every last bite! Hahaha, the meatballs with the toast tips were nice and juicy! The pizza was nice, tasty, and thin… you know sometimes you get a pizza with a thin crust and it tastes like cardboard… that was not the case here! I completely recommend both! I, also, had some Coca Colaaaaa! After we fished, eating, we had not finished the Pinot Grigio… I kinda felt a little rushed by the staff; this begins to explain why this location lost one star. Ohhh, and not that it has anything to do with my rating/review, but it was All Star Weekend and nearly all places in the city had the tv on so that people can enjoy the competitions… this location had some random thing on, that nobody was watching… maybe this was another way to get people out quickly, hahaha!

This place is great for a happy hour or a cute date spot. It’s pretty pricey $$$, so glasses of wine run $ 5 at happy hour until 7 and then get into the $ 12 – 16 range — yawn. The seating inside is limited and it’s pretty small. When it’s nice out, I really enjoy the tables outside. The service is really great here and is a reason I would come back. I almost didn’t order another drink because happy hour had ended and the bartender have us an additional glass of wine at a happy hour price, which was really nice. It’s nice… but I like pil pil better.

Been here on a few occassions over the years I have been living in this hood and Vero is a solid little spot to drop in for a glass of wine and bite to eat. On many nights this place is packed and the outside seating is full. Given that it’s kind of a small place it does fill up quickly as it’s a popular wine bar here on the UES. The wine book they hand you reads like a novel and it’s pretty thick. Plenty to choose from with cocktails and sangria too. Can be a bit pricey but it’s a nice spot to bring a date or friend to chat over a few glasses of wine while nibbling on a meat & cheese plate or flat bread pizza. Actually, that pizza is delish! Chill vibe with good music playing along with a friendly staff in a cozy setting makes for a solid call. Pretty neat happy hour too. Also, it’s always fun to sit outside and watch the drunken frat boys and sorostitutes stumble out from a drunkfest at Brother Jimmy’s nearby and vomit on the sidewalk. Winning!

I’m 32 years old and have had the distinct privilege of consuming more than a handful of alcoholic beverages in my day… and let me tell you — very few have been as refreshing as the watermelon sangria here at Vero. Perhaps it was the day spent playing golf in Long Island that left me parched. Perhaps it was my sweet tooth that comes out of the closet from time to time. Perhaps it was the good company I spent with a friendly drifter named Terry and a perty little lady that goes by #mrsB. Whatever it was, it was one of the more enjoyable adult libations I’ve had the chance of pressing to my lips in at at least a fortnight. I didn’t have a chance to nibble on any food, but the two gentlemen tending bar were super nice and had quite the soundtrack firing all night long. Pretty sure I heard Drunk In Love 8 times in 1.5 hours — good times. Oh, and did I mention that watermelon sangria? I think I did, but it deserves another shout out. I love it so darn much!
