We’ve been at WeWork for 2.5 years now and it’s an awesome space with an amazing group of people. I highly recommend!

A group of us were at this venue to attend a really fascinating talk that our friend had arranged but the WeWork doorman(very rude and cursing at us) wouldn’t let us up, though he had our names on the guest list and we were all very polite to him. He claimed the elevators locked at 7pm sharp on some kind of timer and if we don’t have a key we aren’t allowed up. The event ran from 6:30 — 9:30pm. We finally make it to the event, but so late that the talk is nearly over. There’s no AC and it’s a muggy 95 °F in a jam-packed room. Was the AC/ventilation on a 7pm lockdown too? If so, perhaps it’s not wise to rent the place out for big events… The group — ours and the general assembly — were very good sports about it and networked after the event, but really the doorman should not have been so rude, nor building management so lax in their planning.

They are Crooks. They promise discounts to get you to sign and then take them away once you’ve moved in. They don’t return security deposits. Rent at your own risk.

This is one of those inspiring co-working spaces that makes me jealous of creative and tech types. There are inexpensive conference rooms, office spaces, and lots of open space to dream big. There is free coffee, cucumber water, and even craft beer… I can’t.
