This place is no good. Burgers didn’t seemed cooked all the way and me being dumb I ate them. Guess who was up all day and night in the bathroom sick. Smdh I will never go to White Castle ever again

Growing up on the west coast I was told White Castle was worth the try. Maybe just a little glorified by my family that grew up in New York. This is the spot to get your drunchies and munchies on… but that’s about it. Soggy buns and thin patties don’t make me want to come back for some sliders. The«fresh» ones here are just a tad better than the frozen, microwaveable ones from Costco. Sorry fam

I LOVETHESEITTYBITTYBURGERSSOFREAKINGMUCH. Ever since I first had White Castle I found it to be pure love. Yeah they’re greasy, unhealthy, and on various occasions have worked wonders for my large intestine, BUT I DON’T CARETHEY’REDELICIOUS. It’s those onions man, I swear it is. Sober, buzzed, drunk, whatever, I’m ALWAYS in for White Castle! Why the three stars if I’m so passionate about these sliders? This place is somewhat suspect. There’s always homeless people pandering for food or money and if you are unlucky enough to have to go to the bathroom I wish you well. It’s a shame its such a shoddy location because service isn’t bad. Even late at night. I’ve never had to wait an eternity, receive an incorrect order(Mind you, I get burgers without cheese and if you are in the same boat you know about getting messed up orders on occasion), or deal with workers with nasty attitudes. These things tend to come with fast food joints and I never get that at this White Castle. So, hey, take the good with the bad. The good being those freaking awesome burgers! Did you know this place does a set up for Valentine’s Day? It’s hilarious. I think there’s table service too! I would never, EVER take anyone but it’s worth seeing.

Got my White Castle fixing even though we only ordered a original and a fish, it still hits the spot, the warm soft juicy little burgers, this place could use some renovations tho, a little bit dingy inside

Well, I’ve loved White Castle since I was a wee tike. I live in California, so I don’t get to eat it that often and always look forward to eating it whenever I can. This location is disgusting, even by White Castle standards.

After a night of drinking, we came back to a box of White Castle burgers and we felt like we were in heaven! Couple days later, we wanted to get some more before we headed home back to Cali… As there were like 7 – 8 of us, we got the 30 sliders + some fries! We thought we would be able to finish all 30 but we were about 6 short that we ended up packing to go. The burgers were just okay… definitely better when you’re drunk! LOL(perfect bite size food btw) The location was a bit sketch. there were randoms off the street coming in trying to get food and at one point management had to get involve to ask someone to leave.

The first time I’ve had a white castles burger was back in 2006. These mini burgers are so delicious and juicy. So I came back last year when I was roaming around Manhattan and let me tell you it did not taste. What happened to their burgers? Did they changed the ingredients? It was so good back then compare to now. I don’t know what they did to it but it doesn’t taste the same.

I dunno what hype is with White Castle. This store especially is filled with homeless people and is super dirty. Even tho the burgers were fresh, it’s still not good enough to warrant the homeless folks staring at you when you’re eating.

It’s fast food what do you expect? I’ve never had one though so on my first trip to NY, while stumbling block after block, in vain, to find a restroom we were instructed by the Chinese man in the 7 – 11 to go next door to the White Castle. My husbands eyes grew so big i was about to start cracking up in the middle of the sidewalk. He instructed me i must try one, regardless of the bummy clientele and less than stellar cleanliness. Hey man i was buzzed, had to pee, and im pretty sure i’ve eaten worse before. After relieving myself i was presented with a tiny little burger with so much hype. It was ok, not the best by far but not the worst. I’m sure Harold & Kumar made their stock soar to previously unknown heights. It worked for a drunk walk home though, so thanks for the restroom key and grub!

Huge fan of WC! Only stopped in once while I was in NYC this trip and it was every bit as wonderful as the last time I was here 8 years ago. Don’t let the looks or neighborhood fool you. It’s addicting!

Honestly the craziest fast food restaurant I’ve ever been. The food is great but the décor is so incredibly dated. Within 5 minutes of being there a fight broke out and some lady was cursing and throwing a fit everywhere. They really should have a security guard but you could hear the security system go off alerting the restaurant that«video and audio recording was in process». I’ll probably never go back this White Castle or any White Castle which is sad bc those baby burgers are really good.

Is this the cleanest fast food place you could be going to in the area? No. Does this place have a lot of bums and weird people bothering you? Yes. Should you even come here? Probably not. But when you get that crave, there’s only one place that can satisfy that feeling. And it’s White Castle. Service here is very questionable. On a good day, you might wait a few minutes for your order. On a bad day, the employees will completely forget that you even ordered anything and you’ll be standing there twiddling your thumbs for 10 minutes or more, wondering where your food is. Even though the store is empty. But heck, for those Cravers out there, you’ll be like me and look past all of that and appreciate this institution for what it is.

I find White Castle to be a very unique fast food chain. I mean, what other franchise carries burgers that look even similar to their sliders? Yes, the patty is almost grey in color, but you have to know what to expect when entering this magical palace. In my opinion, the sheer selection of sides are what really sets them apart. French fries? chicken rings? Onion rings? Fish nibblers? Mozzarella sticks? Clam strips? Jalapeño poppers? And more, All this in one place… They also carry many different renditions of their classic slider besides the original ground beef patty. I’ve only been to one other White Castle before. I haven’t been there in ages, so I can’t quite recall how this particular branch compares. Nonetheless, this location delivers. When I’m really hungry(or hungover), I come to this White Castle location for my fix. I opt for four original sliders, small chicken rings, small fries, small clam strips. Based on my experiences, the quality is consistent and does not vary much. Their food is prepared fresh and made-to-order. This usually translates to slightly longer wait times, but it’s worth the wait because everything is that much fresher. Their service is relatively friendly for a fast-food chain and they usually accommodate my requests for extra sauces and dips. Not much to say about the décor. It’s certainly not luxurious, but its clean enough and looks like every other White Castle location. I usually only visit during lunch hours on Saturday so I have yet to experience questionable patrons, but I can imagine how problematic the crowd can be at off-hours of the morning. Once again, with White Castle, it’s all about managing expectations. Also, it’s open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Meaning, whenever you need them, they’re right there. I will be back when the crave calls my name once more. Because the crave is, indeed, a powerful thing.

I like White Castle. They have small burgers with grilled onions and cheese. What’s not to like? This location is in Manhattan and it’s a bit dingy and run down. It just feels old and drab, like the décor hasn’t changed since the 1980’s. I don’t think there are other White Castles in Manhattan though — most of them are stand alone locations in the suburbs. The burgers I got didn’t taste as good as I remembered. They didn’t taste that fresh. The ones from the freezer aisle would have tasted better to be honest!

I hold able and strong subjection against Harold & Kumar! It is only every now and then to see asian guys on the tele, they had to chase such a down in mouth place. It’s always busy and neglected of the minimal orderly decorum. The burgers, you do not Unilocal about them.

This place is pretty much the NY subway if it served food. Place is dirty, full of gross people and weird smells. You have to get buzzed in to go to the bathroom, and there were drunks passed out while eating. Saw one couple washing themselves with wet towels too. We ordered 10 sliders, 2 of each just to try them out. The order took a while to complete, but to be fair, there were other drunks in there giving them a hard time with their orders. We took it back to the hotel and when we opened the bag, the dude only gave us 8 sliders. That’s that NY hustle for you… As for the food itself, I’m not sure how you can claim to be 100% beef if your slider costs less than 80 cents. The veggie burger cost more than that. This place doesn’t live up to the hype.

This place has the most disgusting burgers I have ever eaten. The meat tasted like dog food. I had half a slider and that was it. I knew it would be bad but it was below my already low expectations! I don’t even think it would taste any better while drunk or high!

4 stars because if your here, drunk and all the overpriced places are closed, this will sate your hunger. Yes it’s kind if dirty. Yes there are homeless people milling about. And yes, this is too close to Times Square. But when you’re drunk, and all you need is those few sliders(and cheese sticks because OMG yes) to get you to you work bed, white castle, does not disappoint. It is what it is, and for a fast food, 24/hour joint it does its job well.

It is what it is and that is another fast food outlet… But, where else can you get the 20 sliders to enjoy safety a night out? If you like maccas cheeseburgers then you’ll like white castle. 4 stars for the atmosphere and service.

So much better when you’re drunk! I was honestly really excited to come back to White Castle since I haven’t had it in over a year. The last time may have involved a little bit of alcohol to enhance the burger taste… Sadly, I was utterly disappointed with the taste and didn’t feel the restaurant was ever washed.

This is the place to be if you’re interested in dining at a place where beggars ask for money while you eat, disgusting bathrooms, oily floors and tables and dimly lit fast food joints. If not, then I highly suggest going elsewhere. I’ve only been here about 3 times my entire life and each time, it was only because I was craving sliders. The last time I was here, a few friends and I dropped our friend off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal and decided to come here because it was nearby and open 24⁄7. We were greeted by an extremely timid but big guy at the register when it was our turn to order. He was literally whispering out orders to us. Not to mention he appeared as if he was extremely high on something. White Castle should really consider who they hire(but then again, this is a fast food joint). Would I come back? Only when I’m craving sliders.

Finally after watching Harold & Kumar years ago, my friend and I finally got to eat here. It basically reminded me of a Burger King but less attractive. They sell by meals here; nothing individual. We decided to get a 10 pack burger meal with two large fries at the cost of $ 20. The patties were cafeteria-like and the buns were soggy from the fat. I mean the burgers suck but they do taste better when hella hungry or something after a hangover lol. Their fries are ok though! They aren’t stingy with the portion here! I’m glad I finally got to come here but I wouldn’t come back lmao!

Fast food is fast food… And White Castle is no different. The only hype is from that Harold and Kumar movie but reality is, the place is dirty and the burgers are damn delicious only when you’re drunk late at night… or just starving late at night. I admit, I love the convenience of it being opened 24⁄7 but this location is gross. All the homeless people and beggars seem to congregate over here. HOWEVER, their bathroom is pretty decent considering everything.

Nothing quite beats the delight of the White Castle experience. Tasty burgers, delicious fries, and best of all, the irreplaceable clientele! White Castle hits the spot, but realize that this location can get a little rough at times. I don’t mind it, but understand that before you wander in for a bite.

Ever since I saw harold and Kumar, I have wanted to try white castle. Except white castle wasn’t at where I was living at the time. The place is extremely dirty and seems to attract the homeless crowd. The food is just pure junk. And must worse the McDonald’s. There are so many places to eat in NYC, please don’t come here.

It can be difficult writing a review for a fast-food joint because sometimes you just want to flame the parent company for the unforgivable idea behind the brand. But… hold your breath, Peter, you can only measure whether or not this white fortress lives up to the idea behind it. It does. Cheap, fast, steamed burgers served by nice and efficient folks behind the counter who are but«the last ten feet» in a very long chain of crappy events that lead to your meal. This place is flanked by both the Port Authority and Penn Station. The staff here make(warm and assemble) the food as directed and do their best to keep the filth out. Seriously, what else does someone coming here actually expect?

I’ve never watched Harold and Kumar but my friend REALLY wanted to go to White Castle to get the experience and to honor the movie so we stopped by on one of our days in NY! We ordered the Castle Pack 7… which includes 10 sliders, 2 small fries, and 2 soft drinks. Yes, we each had 5 sliders… dont judge us. They’re small! But it was kinda cute… each slider coming in its own individual box and the slider itself looking like a little cube. But honestly, it was just okay… very thin meat that looked a lil questionable, and more like spam(in consistency) than a regular patty. It wasn’t anything special but I mean it wasn’t nasty or anything… so I wouldn’t mind coming here after a night out bc it’s so cheap. But I did feel a bit queasy after eating here… I’m hoping it’s not from here but the whole place wasn’t very sanitary, so it’s hard to say how sanitary the kitchen and food were. But if you do come here, get the cheese sliders! Gives it more flavor. And I liked the fries. I’m glad I went for the experience bc the chain has been around for so long and we don’t have it here in the west coast, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for it next time. I want Shake shack! haha.
