The food was good and at a good price. There are some vegetarian options. The place is informal, cafeteria style. Brighter lights and decorative aesthetics would improve the interior. I brought a friend the 2nd time I went during lunch time. Food was great and the staff was very friendly! This will definitely be a regular place I visit when I’m in Newark.

This is the best buffet in town. Everything is cooked to perfection and tastes wonderful. Their prices are also great compared to other buffet restaurants in the area. Sophia and Angela are great! Very helpful and friendly. Don’t pass this place up!

Little place, simple décor, $ 5.99 a pound of food and deliciously made. I love coming here every time I came home, it’s very home made and full of flavor, tipically brazilian food, Rice, Beans, Moquecas, Pirão, Strogonoff, Carne enrolada, everyday is something different. The food is ready, buffet, perfect for a quick luch.

This is my GOTO spot for a quick lunch in the Ironbound. The table seating is no frills. But the food is at the buffet table is fresh, and original Brasilian cuisene. You get allot of stews of various(often unknown to me) origin. I usually start with a salad, which is super fresh and them add rice, beans and some stews or road chicken /pork. Sometimes I don’t know what I am eating, but it all tasted good… except the liver and onions. I am not a big fan of liver cooked like this anyway, but at the time I though it was getting beefsteak, till I took the first bite. Anyway, just be careful, this is not an all you can eat buffet. You are expected to weigh each plate as you get it at the cash register with the ticket they provide.

Oh god. For $ 5.50 a pound, you can eat to your heart’s content. I don’t know what part of the animal most of the meat comes from — nor do I wish to — but man is it delicious. Unfortunately, I don’t know that much about Brazilian food, and the staff doesn’t speak much English, so I don’t know what anything is called. There is some sort of sausage and hardboiled egg and bean concoction that is amazing. The yucca and some-kind-of-meat(oxtail? ish?) stew is also fan-flipping-tastic. Particularly ideal for waiting out tunnel traffic on the way into NYC from, say, Newark Airport. Mmmmmmm.
