I’m so glad this is here instead of chili’s imo($ 10.95 for some boneless chipotle honey wings smh) I was here for breakfast this morning before work and had the banana pancakes which we’re really good but very big lol even though the menu is super pricey the food is excellent and the customer service is pretty good so I have no complaints so far except for the fact that I may just take my food to go and eat in the food court if I want just an appetizer or something because the selections at the food court gets boring after a while when you’re eating the same things over and over again but all in all I enjoyed the food surprisingly so no I’m gonna try something on the lunch menu next time or just get an app if I’m not too hungry

This is where awful Chili’s used to be. The service isn’t bad at all and the food was your typical diner food. Overall, improved restaurant.

Not sure if this was the same one — we were in the mid level of Terminal B, near the arrivals area. Good diner food — gyros, french dip and breakfast ALL day. If you need a place to meet a friend in between flights, this is a great location! Friendly staff, TVs to put onto a sporting event or news and quiet with ample seating. If you are arriving early to pick up a traveller and their flight is delayed — this is a wonderful stop.

As far as diners go, this place is actually pretty good. I’m not a diner/traditional eater, but the menu here is huge! Breakfast is served all day long and there are several vegetarian options. I enjoyed my Mediterranean Veggie Wrap and hubby liked his fish sandwich enough. The highlight for him was his Chunky Monkey milkshake. My only real disappointment was that they were out of their espresso drinks(I’m guessing the machine was broken) and were only serving bottomless coffee. As one of only two restaurants in Terminal B that offers table service, I’ll easily come back!

Great option when in the United terminal. Good service and quick too. The food here is nothing more than your standard diner fair. Breakfast is pretty decent too. A little pricier than your typical diner, but it’s in the middle of the airport, so understandable. Talk about stereotypical New Jersey, you step off the plane, and there’s a diner 40 feet away.

Honestly forgot what I ordered to eat… maybe it was due to the very strong long island alcoholic drink I ordered. Will come back just for the drink alone!!!

I had a lot of time to kill so I thought I would come to this diner to get some grub. I did wait a while before I got a seat. Once I sat down someone came and got my order really quick. The coffee here is really good! The good is average too. Nothing spectacular but I enjoyed my food!

In case you need a little taste of Jersey before leaving the state, there’s a classic diner right here at the airport. Don’t eat here if you’re in a rush, though; service can take a while. For example, when we ordered chicken and waffles, it took them about 15 minutes(of us waiting in anticipation for delicious chicken and waffles) to let us know that they were out of that dish. Although we were disappointed at the lack of chicken and waffles, the food that came out was pretty good. We tried the Popeye’s omelette with deli turkey and spinach. They don’t skimp on the filling! Most breakfast options come with a choice of sides, such as a banana, fruit cup, hash browns, or home fries. There are also a bunch of individual breakfast sides that you can order, which we helped ourselves to. The pancakes were solid, fluffy diner goodness. The corned beef hash was really good, very beefy. Lots of onions and bell peppers, too. And yes, we couldn’t leave New Jersey without having a dish of taylor ham. You can tell that most things here are probably cooked on a flat top. The prices are a little inflated compared to your typical Jersey diner, but I’ll chalk that up to airport inflation. Garden State Diner is a notch above than your typical food kiosk choices at the diner. Worth a try, but only if you have time. Don’t miss your flight!

Love when Im traveling out of this terminal. Great place to eat before your flight. I had a crispy chicken wrap and it was delicious. came with fries and they were just your regular fries but good! My husband had eggs over easy with bacon and he enjoyed them. Service was good and its inexpensive for airport food!

For airport fare, the food and price was fine. Remember: its your job to be sure you have enough time before boarding. If you have less than 45 minutes, go to one of the many kiosks. Otherwise, enjoy something freshly prepared here. My sweet potato fries were actually darn good.

Well, we had 4 hours to kill in the United terminal at Newark(of course, the one time our flight arrives EARLY…) and felt like brunch food, so we ended up here. The service was very friendly, a little bit on the slower side, and we made chit chat with our lovely server. She was sweet enough to refill my water bottle. But then my healthy option veggie omelette($ 12) arrived and wow, it was just not good! Not even bland in a healthy way, just zero flavor. Which makes you concentrate instead on the texture, which in a mushroom/pepper/broccoli omelette isn’t super pleasant either. Meh. Know to skip this next time.

Typical greasy spoon diner… with the caveat of being located in EWR airport. Probably one of the more reasonable options for breakfast in the United terminal. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Food was nothing special, but it filled me up for the long flight ahead. Prices were reasonable(for an airport).

My wife & I recently passed through Newark Airport on our vacation. We decided to eat at Garden State Diner because it was close to our Gate. Man — I am so glad we did! I’ve recently started enjoying Reuben sandwiches and have never had a real New York deli sandwich. I also have not had an open-face version, but this one was delicious — the best Reuben I’ve ever had! Generous amount of thick-sliced pastrami, ‘kraut and melted Swiss cheese. Yes, we ate there on our way back home too. So, if you go through Newark Airport, swing by Gate 80 for the Garden State Diner. You’ll be glad you did.

Busy but quick service. Just average food. My guy had his son with us so he wanted to eat here. I would have been just as happy with one of the walk up to the counter and order places. Nothing special about any of the food we had. Breakfast burrito lacked any flavor and so did the veggie omelet. The pancakes were sweet and maybe a little under done.

OK, so Your in Newark Airport and this place does not do anything to make you think you are anywhere else. Newark Airport is an ARMPIT, this place is probably better than some of that standard airport food, but not much better. So if you are stuck in the Airport it is OK, just don’t expect anything more than Airport quality mediocre food.

Maybe the food is good. I wouldn’t know. Waiting over half an hour for a couple eggs didn’t fit into my itinerary. The wait staff here are equipped with tablets that let them place your order on the spot. This leads me to blame the kitchen. The venue wasn’t even at full capacity, maybe 80% full. Our waitress was nice and we paid for our coffee and tipped, but at 35 minutes after the order was placed, I couldn’t stay a second longer. So now I’m finishing my review on the plane, upset and absolutely starving. There are lots of options out there, I won’t be choosing this one again.

I’ll keep this review short and simple. Service was friendly but The food was not good. Gave me a sour stomach before a flight. Never a good thing.

What an epic train wreck of a place. I don’t expect top notch food or service from an airport establishment, but people should know to avoid this place like the plague. Here are the short points: — my sunny side up eggs were very undercooked. Runny and nasty on top — the eggs had some shell in it. Yep. — I asked the girl managing seating who happened to walk by if she could get me some hot sauce. A simple request. She scoffed that my waitress would be by soon, and walked off to go chat with one of her co-workers. Classy. — the waitress who served me was entirely confused by my request for«the corned beef hash with sunny side up eggs». She eventually figured it out after I pointed to the menu. She then forgot and came back and asked how I wanted my eggs cooked again. — my toast was served separately, because they didn’t finish it along with the meal — the toast was not only burnt, but cold. Wow. — the potatoes/onions/peppers side that came with the dish had raw onions and peppers, instead of actually letting them grill. All in all, probably one of the worst eating experiences I’ve had in my life.

It’s diner-style food in the airport. While it may not have as varied a menu as the typical NY/NJ diner, it’s nicer than fighting for a table in the food court. Service has always been decent and the food better than one would expect. I especially like GSD when passing through early as a good place for breakfast.

The food is actually decent for an airport diner. The salads, while a touch limited in selection, are fresh. The breakfast foods – a staple of any diner menu – are on point, with a nice variety of omelets, good enough pancakes, french toast and waffles, with all the right sides, and a nice variety of fresh fruits. The sandwiches are all decent. The burgers are only so-so, the kind that taste good enough going down, but seem to repeat on you for hours afterwards. The main caveat here is the service. Way too slow for an airport diner, where people are often in a rush to catch a flight. It’s a definite step up from the fast food places in the food court. A place where you can bring the entire family and get a decent meal, when you’re stuck within the confines of an airport. Not quite a diner I’d go to as my regular place, but definitely my go-to place if I’m in need of a pre-flight meal.

Waiting around the airport can be an interesting thing. We checked out and we had about 6 hours to kill. Just in time for lunch, we decided to come here. Friendly greeting and she gave us a booth. Wish I could’ve just kicked back and take a nap after eating. I ordered the open face hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. The partner had the bacon cheeseburger, «to make up for that over mayoed one from that other place.» I actually ate a salad… lol! A nice presentation with a balsamic vinaigrette. She: Here you go, hot turkey smothered in gravy! Just the way you asked! I had told her all over, «just cover it» and that’s what they did. It hit the spot! Carved turkey breast on Texas bread with lumpy taters and covered in gravy. I knew I was going to be tired at the end of the meal. The partner’s burger was much better than the one he had at a previous airplane meal. The service was good. I felt she kind of forgot about us at one point because I think her shift was ending, but she was really nice. I would recommend this place if you’re stuck here for a while. They do have a variety of foods to choose from and the chocolate shakes are good too!

Grabbed a bite here before my cross country flight. Service was quick, but I didn’t feel rushed since I needed to kill a little time. Service here was definitely better than most airport restaurants I’ve been to! Definitely recommend their turkey burger with Dijon. If I’m in this airport again I would definitely come back.

Decent place to grab lunch or dinner while you’re at the Newark Liberty airport. The service was okay, just like the food. Some dishes were a little pricey, but others were moderately priced. It’s a typical diner, with higher prices. I’d eat here again if I had to.

Super Burger, tolle Beilagen.
