Service lousy. Sushi equally bad. I would not recommend this. The sushi was actually warm. Spicy tuna was small rolls. Not exciting. Nothing other than rice and this tuna mush.

Overall good quality but a bit over priced even for the airport. Ordering on the table top iPad is ok but not best for sushi if you want to add more on. The iPad system requires you to pay upfront. Sushi is good quality but pieces are small and again a bit expensive.

Okay, so I know airport food is not something to hold to too high of a standard, but come on. This was actually nauseating. A sushi platter, miso soup and seaweed salad cost 55 $. I was going through reciepts and came across this one with disgust. This was the worst sushi I’ve ever had, ever – and on top of that it was over priced – even for an airport. Not only was the food bad, but the service was horrible. We had to flag them down over and over. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else. For 55 $ you can buy yourself a pass into some VIP lounge, which I guarantee you will be more worth your money than this place!

Do not eat here. Very plain rolls are over $ 10 and they are not good at all. I don’t think these people know how to make good sushi.

Close to the O2 and right off train route. Very dark inside, service was fine, and sushi was pretty fresh.

Inexpensive sushi but not very flavorful. He ingredients did not seem super fresh. People are very rude bad service found a Roach in our roll and they didn’t care don’t go here will be placing a call the health deportment ASAP. They should be shut down. I normally don’t write review but this was the worst service ever ! 1 star because of the horrible Asian dude night server’s service.

I’ll say two things about all the bad reviews… First… my experience was great! See more below. And… Second, maybe all the negativity is what got me a great seat and great service :) Saturday evening 5pm. Sat at the bar overlooking gate 120 and the Tarmac. Prompt service. Power supply to recharge phone and tablet readily available. Edamame was good, beer was cold, sushi was… Average. Generous pieces of fish, but very little rice in the nigiri. Pricey, but what do you expect in the international terminal of the Newark airport?!

Two stars too much! Unfortunately everything at this restaurant is horrible. I can’t even get a glass of Coke right. Let me Associates is very watering… And underseasoned. The item on my was obviously severely frozen microwaved. Shumai was the doughy gelatinous mess of an inedible creation. Definitely avoid this place at all cost

I really should have checked them out on Unilocal before I let my friend bully me into airport sushi… We wanted sushi and we didn’t have much time till we needed to board the plane. Considering how pricy their rolls were, you would think that it would at least be decent. Not really… We ordered the veggie dumplings which were not horrible, salmon sushi which looked and tasted awful, the eel something roll and another one with spicy tuna. Costco sushi looks gourmet compared to what we were served here. I would have been more satisfied with a bag of chips. Don’t make the same mistake we did. There isn’t enough wasabi and soy sauce in the world to drown the taste of that fish.

Absolutely abysmal in pretty much every way. Service is just terrible and the sushi is bad. Run, don’t walk, away from this pathetic excuse for a restaurant. I would recommend that the NYC restaurant consider just closing this location because it is DESTROYING your brand. Never. Again.

Do not under any circumstances eat here. Unless you enjoy not getting served. I was coldly told, sit at a small table, and then left there for over ten minutes while the jackass waiter and waitress walked past me numerous times with the orders they were obviously screwing up for the poor people sitting nearby. Every table they were waiting on was complaining that their order was incorrect and about the time required to prepare it. I picked up my things and walked next store to Gallagher’s since my company is footing the bill for me to travel. Get your act together morons.

Edible, in that I ate here twice and never got sick once. Fabulous? No. As other reviewers said, absolutely horrible service. Just awful.

Ratings had me scared a bit. Sashimi little too cold but ok. Yellowtail better than salmon. Spicy tuna roll ok — fish not bad but rice way too warm. Shrimp dumplings reasonably tasty. Worth a second chance. Not too pricey either. And service was quick. Almost too quick. Happy eating!

Typically when you are waiting for your flight at the airport your food choices are fast food chains and mediocre pizza. Hamachi Sushi is a fantastic find at terminal C! We tried several items and each dish was really really good. The service was astonishingly good; very attentive, very fast and very friendly. It’s great to know that you can get food like this at the airport. We will definitely be back.

Slow service, dirty dishes, fruit flies, tasteless rolls hosted by unseasoned rice, I can make better rolls at home. Plus it was Expensive. It felt like they had no pride… The rolls would fall apart before it even left the take away container. Eat some potato chips instead of eating here! I will be contacting the owners of the establishment to let them know about my experience. …the 1 star I gave it is mainly for the table and chair accommodation provided and even that was chipped and dirty! :(

So I’m going to keep this short and to the point as there is no need to get detailed about this: 1. The service is terrible 2. Food isnt worth the price & and its not good quality fish 3. Fruit flies… Go next door and get yourself a great steak and glass of wine at Gallaghers. I pray I don’t end up with food poisoning :/

The service here is crap. I asked the waiter what the roll in their advertisement was and he told me it was a salmon roll… turned out to be completely different. It also took the guy 10 mins to get to us… we are at an airport … chances are we don’t have that much time on our hands to sit and wait. Plus who goes around saying to customers«I know I know» and«okay!»? Aside from their service… the food was nasty. Miso soup tasted like salt water. Their premium rolls? What a joke! The only thing premium about it was the price. The salmon wasn’t fresh. the avacado tasted rotten. Does this place even pass the health regulations? Worst place in the airport to eat… if I could give it zero stars I would!

Decent sushi foe. the airport. The fish was not fresh, tasted pre-frozen. Across the terminal we found a chinese place, Wok Roll. This place served excellent fresh salmon.

A nice and somewhat surprisingly decent option at EWR. The sushi is actually tasty and fresh, the rolls do not fall apart and you can bring their boxes onto the plane as a nice lunch or dinner option that, most importantly, will not stink up the cabin. I have had a number of people comment that they wish they had thought of that! Their eel sushi is particularly good, but the salmon and tuna ones are also good. Service is genuinely pleasant and fast.

Basically supermarket sushi. But know what? Compared to the usual fried greasy crap at most airports, some miso soup, a roll or two was a welcome change. The spicy tuna roll looked a bit too much like cat food. But tasted ok and was actually spicy. The hamachi roll was fine but nothing special. The miso was lacking any seaweed but otherwise was fine. ANd a bit of salty soup after a flight is a nice way to recharge. Four kinds of saki was a nice change from the over priced drinks in the rest of the airport. The service was actually very good and friendly. One nice thing is being able to sit and people watch in the airport and enjoy some saki while your flight is delayed due to a thunderstorm.
