Customer service is extremely bad here. I didn’t know they were closed even though the guy behind the counter was still grilling food. So I stood there waiting to order for about 10 minutes. The manager(some Japanese guy) and his two employees(teenage girl and boy), proceeded to ignore me although they saw me standing there waiting to order. They didn’t even bother to tell me they were closed, but, instead proceeded to ignore me. Then I got irritated and asked them if they were still open and they told me they were closed. These people need to be fired or quit if they aren’t happy with their job. I can’t stand workers who have no customer service. I would highly recommend avoiding this place and I would give it even lower ratings if I could on Unilocal.SMH.

Went there for lunch. I had the Terraki Steak and Chicken with Fried Rice. The food was freshly prepared and tasted great. I would say on par with some higher end Japanese restaurants. My bill with a drink was under $ 10, which is a great value.

the man is so stingy. He would only give u very little meat. The Mexican girl is the best employee of the store.

Ordered for my daughter. She was very disappointed with the quality. She also got teriyaki sauce that was hot and spicy which she does not like at all. The vegetables were undercooked(and she doesn’t mind them being on the lighter end of steaming). They were out of water bottles but offered her a cup of water. Overall she said she wouldn’t go back.

Whenever I come to this mall and needed something to eat, I would come here. Compared to other food that’s in the food court, this is the best option. What I disliked about this place was the portions. Whenever there’s a line and people that are in front of us, order the same food, they get to choose which box they want. This wouldn’t be a big deal for me until the cook starts putting food in the boxes. The portions are always different in each box and I always ended up getting the box with a couple spoonful of meat and vegetables. For the same price, I want the same portions as the other customers. How hard is it to separate the portions on the flat top and then scoop it in the boxes? After this happened to me multiple times, I stopped coming here. There are so many restaurants across the street that has better quality food with similar prices, I don’t see why I need to come back to this place.

Ordering is kinda slow. The teriyaki sauce is way too salty and sweet. The chicken served was not a whole piece but small pieces: bad quality not fresh at all. The boil veggies were okay overall. I would not return.

One word describes the food here: SALT. The food is just soaked in it… I’m never eating here again… unless a low sodium option is available…

Awful. Ordered: the miso soup, which tasted watered-down. Yaki Soba. The noodles were so mushy and disgusting. I use to come here when it was Tokyo station. It was not the best, but it was decent. This is, not(at all in any way) acceptable food. Nasty

I came here the other day expecting a full disaster given the state of New Park Mall in general. I left pretty satisfied and surprised as well. Customer Service: Pretty good! I was greeted by the chef who took my order and he was very friendly. The meal was made to order and was ready at a quick and reasonable time. Food: Hibachi San is a basic American-style Japanese food chain with 2 types of meals: «traditional» or «teppanyaki». Traditional are set entrees with sides you can purchase whereas teppanyaki plates are full combo meals with come with rice and stir-fried vegetables. I personally ordered the Teriyaki Salmon meal from the teppanyaki menu. The salmon was delicious with subtle teriyaki flavour — not too overpowering which is just how I like it! Sometimes a lot of places overdose on the teriyaki sauce and it covers up the flavours of the meat. The stir-fried veggies were great as well! For the rice, you can decide between white rice, fried rice, or brown rice. — Overall, Hibachi San isn’t amazing. At the end of the day it is mall food. However, for a decently priced lunch that comes with great customer service and efficiency, Hibachi San is the way to go.

For mall food, i think this place is pretty good. This place is a japanese-american restaurant that specializes in teriyaki rice dishes that are cooked to order on their grill area. I usually order the steak and shrimp combo. You have a choice of either white rice, fried rice, or noodles. After you pay you move down the ‘assembly’ line where the cooks will freshly cook your food. What I really enjoyed about this place was the portions and the teriyaki sauce they use. Very sweet and not too bland compared to places such as happi house. As for the food, the meat and shrimp are full of flavor and tasted pretty fresh. I also really enjoyed the large pieces of cabbage and broccoli they use. Overall for food court style food, I thought it was above average. If your looking for food cooked to order and are tired of subway or burger king, check this place out next time your at new park mall.

I love eating here when we get something to eat at the mall. Everything tastes so fresh and lite.

Although the food are cook in front of you, their vegetables are extremely tuff & hard. The service is fast unless the Latin cook spots women then… the waiting time for your food increases tremendously because he will be babbling to them like a «village idiot».

Decent, for fresh cooked fast food. The service is polite and quick. The veggies are tough and taste old. The chicken and rice were quite fresh. So-so, there are better options, but maybe not at the mall.

Came to New Park Mall with my mom yesterday to do some shopping. For lunch, my mom wanted sushi so I ordered a plate of California roll from this place and also a bottle of cold water. THEGOOD: The service was quick and the bottle of water tasted cold. THEBAD: The California roll was literally ice cold! If I wanted to get my mom something icy, I would’ve gotten her a Jamba Juice or Ice Cream cone, definitely NOT sushi. Really no excuse for any store to serve ice cold sushi. Perhaps they might consider thawing it out first if they insist on not making it fresh when you order? One star for cold bottle water and service. Four negaive stars for ice cold sushi. Sushi should be enjoyed fresh or room temperature. Not like a fishy popsicle treat.

Shrimp & Chicken Teriyaki is very satisfying and their California Rolls were fresh and filling! Great spot for a quick lunch to go!

Fast food place in the NewPark Mall food court. Features Teppan-yaki style cooking on a large griddle. I got the chicken teriyaki with the noodles which are extra. Not bad. The fried rice didn’t look too inspired. In fact, at the time I went, nothing in the steam table looked any good. However, the veggies that came with my chicken were excellent. Veggies with noodles might be a good option. Efficient service. But you gotta wait for your teppan-yaki noodles to be done fresh for you.

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki with Double Meat! It’s my Sarku fix. It’s a place like Sarku, a Japanese fast food chain inside malls. But there’s no Sarku inside Newpark Mall. Luckily, there’s Hibachi San. I love me some Chicken Teriyaki, I’d go here to quench my cravings. Big portions! I don’t really care much about the rice, which is why I always get double meat. Can’t go wrong with food cooked in front of you. Extra sauce please! Will definitely go back for more.

We got the #5 combo with beef mushroom and boy was it good! I’ved never had the beef Teriyaki tasted like that. The first bite kinda felt like«omg, it’s so good. Why did I come here all this time?» feeling. I shared with it with my boyfriend, he said it was very good but did not have the same feeling I had when I first took a bite. Maybe a came at a good time, I dont know but if we ever have a chance to go back there again, yes! I will definitely come back and with an empty stomach this time!

Usually, I ignore the vegetables at mostly any restaurant I go to. The vegetables here though, are almost impossible to ignore. Not because of their taste. I don’t even dare put some of those carrots in my mouth. It’s because they’re the driest plants you’ll ever encounter outside of a desert. Really, like paper dry. The meat isn’t much better. It’s like this place can’t find the right balance between overly soggy and bone dry. Oh wells though, at least there’s much better options in this food court.

One of my favorite fast Asian food places. Probably my favorite place to eat in the Newpark Mall next to Auntie Anne’s. I almost always get the combination dish in a to go box. The combo includes rice, grilled meat of your choice, and grilled veggies mixed in. I like to get half fried rice and half white rice with the teriyaki chicken. The portions are really generous and the meal runs less than $ 10. Oh and their large drinks gotta be more than 32oz… they big
