Nice neighborhood bakery. The breads I have gotten have been soft and fresh. They only have bread, a few cakes and cookies. I wish there was a bigger selection. There are a lot f baked breads, but not many choices for a walk-in customer. The owners are very friendly.

Probably the best egg-less cake in Bay area. I am a regular customer for many years now. Try their egg-less pineapple filling cake. It is awesome!

Innlay Bakery has sliced breads stacked all around. a sign lists cake and pan de sal availability. store’s shelves has cake slices and various baked cookies. thru an open window to the inner store, one can see baking is going on. as i was persuing the baked goods, a gentlemen emerged and quickly retrieved what i decided to snack on. eats: –chocolate chip cookie(.40) had a burnt taste, tough cookie, not soft. cheap tough. not a lot of chocolate taste 2ish stars –mud pie(2.10) fetched from inside the bakery, it had a cold referigerated taste strong sweet, complex favors. 2.5 stars crumbs: –cakes more tasty than cookies. –fast, cordial service. –didn’t see any filipino pastry items.

Hooray for their cake slices being yummy! I had the carrot cake and red velvet, both the lady retrieves from the back rather than the display case. Although the cream cheese frosting on the carrot cake was a little oniony, both soothed the sweet tooth. Just the right size for the price. The custard roll I didn’t care for and the cookie was a bit too flaky. I’ll be back for more cake slices!

My finace and I looked at this place to do our wedding cake since we are on a tight budget. The price per piece was on the low end, but you must get what you pay for. They didn’t have any cake for us to sample so we had to buy an 8″ cake. They were nice enough to fill it with our two choices of filling. I picked up the cake on a Saturday morning and brought it to a party. When we cut into it, the middle layer of cake had this translucent, undercooked look to it, but when we tried the cake, it was dried out like the cake was old. I brought the cake back to the bakery that day and showed them the cake. They said it was cooked and no problem. I asked them why it was a different color and they said it was because they may have taken the cake out a few seconds before the other layers. ??? okay… I asked when they made the cake since it tasted dried out and old. They said they made it Friday, the day before. So I can’t figure out why they would give us an undercooked AND overcooked cake to show off their skill when they knew we could potentially be dropping a couple hundred dollars with them.

I LOVE their cup cakes and always go in to get them, you must pre-order because they do not always have them but i loved them so much im going to be ordering them for my wedding! they are so awesome! and cute looking! they are a very good price too! just $ 1.25 for one that is decorated with whipped cream and sprinkles, they will even put a little topper on it too =) other places ask for $ 2.50 all the way up to $ 4.50 for each one! that can add up fast especially for a wedding!!! Unfortunately i was not impressed with the cookies i go to Vienna for those! but great cinnamon raisin bread for sure!

I was hoping this would be a kick ass Filipino bakery, but alas it was not to be. The cookies and small baked items in the display cases were ok, but nothing to write home about. I would probably say starbucks’ baked goods are better than much of Innlay’s selection(which isn’t saying much). It seems like the cookies and delicacies in the display case are just a sideline and their main line is breads and pan de sal. The pan de sal is reasonable as is the sliced bread, but nothing that makes me dream of it and leak drool onto my pillow at night. Prices are reasonable and the proprietors are friendly.

Innlay actually sells sliced bread to several Asian super markets in the Bay Area & was surprised to see that this little bakery next to a laundromat was where they make the bread. If you want soft, fresh from the oven bread, melt in your mouth bread — look no further! The couple who owns & runs this bakery are always super nice and friendly. Every time we stop by, she makes sure we buy the freshest loaf they have and will even go in the kitchen to package a new one for us.
