The food was really tasty. We were worried because it was empty when we got there, but it turned out to be a good experience. The decorations and service was pretty typical of most Indian restaurants. Everything we ordered was cooked fresh, to order. One of the servers anticipated that something we ordered might be too spicy for our kids and adjusted as necessary after checking with us. She was also helpful with telling us ingredients when we needed to check for an allergen. We’ll definitely be going there again. It’s a good find for that part of Newark, DE. Looking forward to another dosa night soon! The coconut chutney was amazing.

Very good food. The coupon was a great incentive to try something new. Waiter was very helpful in selecting from the menu. We will definitely go back again.

Great hole in the wall south indian food. I had the chili paneer, veg biryani and raita and it was all very good. The rava dosa is awesome as well. The only negative is that the restaurant exhaust system doesn’t seem to be working well and it has an odor of old cooking oil

Nice place to have Indian food. I think it’s recently renovated?! Not sure. Ordered chicken biriyani and pepper chicken fry. Pepper chicken biriyani was really good. The biriyani is hyderabadi type, so it’s like biriyani rice and the chicken will be separate. The biriyani rice won’t have the flavor of chicken. I would recommend to change the biriyani type! To The real moghul biriyani. I don’t recommend eating biriyani here… Other than biriyani all other dishes should be good!

First time here and it was amazing. Server was attentive and polite. The old pics posted here are outdated I forgot to take a picture of their updated décor/seating. I ordered the chicken hyderbadi and garlic naan. Food came out fast and was very good. I think the waiter underestimated how hot I can take and suggest this as medium hot but it didn’t even tickle. Couldn’t finish all the food so they gave us to go container and bag and on out way out the server gave us complimentary rice pudding. I will def be back to try their biryani. Oh and for the price u pay I can’t beat it! Probably gonna bring all my friends that visit me here!

Just don’t go there! Bad experience. Their unlimited Dosa night is a Slog. We waited there two hours and ended having three dosas. Service Sucks, Biryani is mediocre, Food sucks to the core. Don’t waste your money. The guy at the counter begs you to pay in cash. Which is so Cheap.

Perhaps, the best Indian restaurant in Newark area. And this is coming from a north Indian who knows how a good Mughlai and Punjabi food tastes. Don’t listen to pseudo-Indians, those who can be found in Starbucks and Subways, they know nothing about Indian food. Just one suggestion — give cook ample time to prepare your dish, either call them beforehand and place your order or tell them to take their time.

I’m Indian so I know what I’m talking about when it comes to Indian food. This is the best biryani I have found in america so far. Unlike other Indian restaurants in america they know how to actually how to make a spicy dish. Also the customer service is fantastic as I was waiting for my dish they offered me water as I waited and that was for take out.

Last week the food was really good. I tried this week. To my surprise it was way different. I ordered chicken biryani and it was spicy and good last time. This time it does nt have good taste, and also the chicken is not well cooked. I dont understand how could this happen soon. I don’t want to take a chance next time.

on a good day, they have some nice food. very inconsistent with taste for entres, make me doubt about the freshness. appetizers are usually good. lots of oil in any curry. I like the new makeover with better furniture. when they have promotions. just don’t go. they reduce the quality and takeout quantity. most other paradise franchises are better. Update: Last night went again with my craving for Indian food. Horrible biryani — just a dump of masala and rice, appetizers — served with stale and fresh pieces. I wish a new Indian restaurant comes up close by

Ordered take out. Placed the order at 5:00 p.m. Was told the order would be ready at 5:45 p.m. Figured that was an overestimate, so I showed up at 5:35 p.m. Actually, the order was not even ready until 6:00 p.m. An hour to wait for take out?! No. What if we had eaten inside? Would it have taken one hour for our food? Ridiculous. We ordered a lot of food: butter chicken, dum ka gosht, two orders of naan, and one order of samosas(two large, came with dipping sauces). We were also given two containers of rice. Of course, this was twice as much food as two people need for dinner, so now we have leftovers for lunch. There was just the right amount of spice… Too many bones in the goat dish. The flavors were decent, quote good. We paid $ 33 for the food… I feel like this was about $ 8 too high, maybe more, for the quality of the food. I would never eat in. Too slow. Too poorly decorated inside(see pics provided by others here on Unilocal). I would take out again, but order less, and I would show up a bit late rather than a bit early.

Tables were not clean. Had to change tables. Don’t go to the bathroom. Please. OK I’m coming to food… quite disappointing. Chicken 65 was OK. Gobi 65 was bad. Chicken biryani was shame on the brand value of Paradise(Hyderabad dumb biryani). Naan was stiff and crunchy. service. To go boxes: curry containers had traces of water inside it, they agreed they washed the the containers. Well, why? Only they know.

Great samosas and very good goat biryani. Dosas are also very good here. My only complaint is mango lassi which is served in small plastic glasses. Other than that food here is cooked fresh made to order and tastes like real Indian food. Not the watered down bs you get at other places …

We decided to try based on other reviews. Ate in. Waitress was prompt but could not explain menu or offer suggestions. Menu offers no explanation, you are expected to know the differences between all the various options. We like Indian but are not proficient beyond knowing curry or Nahn so we literally pointed at the menu and hoped. Food was fine. Had to show Unilocal coupon 2x to get the offer.

Wait staff was extremely disorganized. I placed my order over the phone, to a rather confused employee, and was not asked for my name despite my offer to provide it. When I arrived to pick up our dinner the requested 25 minutes later, I was informed that our meal had been given to someone else and they’d need to prepare it again. I was told it would be ready in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later, they handed me a bag they said was ready to go. When I looked inside, it was lacking one of the meals. The food was OK – we’ve certainly had MUCH better in the area. Given the terrible customer service, we will not be returning.

Very Tasty & authentic South Indian food. Tandoori Chicken, Apollo Fish, Chicken Fried Rice, Dum ka gosht, Chicken curry and Dosas are amazing. Great selection. I usually order ahead. Not many equivalents in this area. Wish they’d invest more in this restaurant and make it more appealing. The insides of the restaurant can use a big overhaul for a more pleasant dine-in experience.

I bought a Groupon and had intended on dining in but, after seeing the total lack of décor and the general hole-in-the-wallness of this place, I ended up doing takeout. Very good Indian food that is cooked well, spiced appropriately, and given out in generous portions. I will be eating takeout from this place again.
