Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta

I have never had such a horrible experience getting my eyebrows done. Sams whole demeanor was just wrong. I left Ulta with the worst shaped brows and did not want to say anything because she was so rude. I just wanted the appointment to be done so I could get them done by a real professional. After reading some of the reviews on here unfortunately after getting my brows ruined I do not understand why she would still be there. I wish I read them before. Will not be returning that’s for sure.

I’ve had Sam shape my brows several times and she always does an amaaaazing job! She takes the time to map the placement of the brows so they complement my face shape! Before seeing Sam, my brows were a total mess. She’s the first person I’ve had wax my brows that actually took the time to consult with me about the shape I wanted! She also helped me with some makeup application techniques to fill in my brows (they’re blonde) in between tinting. I highly recommend Sam for waxing and tinting! During my last appointment, I made a mention that I was looking for a new BB Cream, Sam gave me a couple of different Benefit BB Cream samples to try before my next appointment, which was an amazing bonus to an already perfect service.

I also would have recommended this location when Elissa was there. She was always full of conversation and I never left at all disappointed, in fact my brows looked better than ever. After elissa left to find opportunity with another makeup company, I made an appointment with her replacement, Sam. This was 3 months ago and my brows are still trying to reshape from this visit. She did not «map» out my brows prior to waxing, something the benefit brow bar prides itself on doing. I left with misshapen, uneven brows after 2 years of Elissa working her magic. Saying I was disappointed is an understatement. I definitely will not be back to this location. If anyone has had better luck with the Brow Bars in the area let me know!

Prior to August of last year I also would have highly recommended this particular ULTA and Benefit Brow Bar location as THE place to go to have your eyebrows waxed in the seacoast area of New Hampshire. Elissa Carter was the greatest Arch Expert and the only woman I would ever allow to touch/​wax/​re-​map and style my eyebrows. She was incredible and had such a fantastic technique! Unfortunately, Elissa has left this location to pursue a new opportunity and there are now new Arch Experts employed there. Following Elissa’s departure I received services from both Sam and Kati as I was particularly fond over the Benefit brand and technique when it came to my eyebrows. Both ladies are nice and have great personalities but of the two, I much preferred Kati and how she handled my appointment. With her, my brows looked much better than when Sam did them. Sam did not properly map my brows and they looked very uneven afterward. However, following both appointments I have continued to seek a new alternative location to get my brows waxed and am still jumping from location to location until I can find another Arch Expert like Elissa. Bottom line: if you are thinking about visiting this location for any type of brow related services, direct your preference towards Kati. Hope this helps!

Prior to tonight’s visit I would have highly recommended this place for waxing; however after the lack of customer service I received tonight I will not be returning for waxing or any other service at this ulta. My appointment was at 640 this evening and I ran into some traffic on the way there. Which I imagine is common given their location. I arrived at the brow bar at 645 and was rudely greeted and told there was not enough time for my full service because it would run into the next appointment. I understand that I was late but if 5 minutes is the end of the world to the employees here then they should rethink working at a job where you service the public. I’ve had to wait for appointments here before while they finished up with clients and mind you I’ve just walked around and bought products (please see a review from another customer from ¹¹⁄₂). I’ll shop at sephora next time I need something and will be finding a new place to get my eyebrows done.

My visit started off rough as I had scheduled an appointment but then had to wait 15 minutes. However, once she was able to see me things went really well. She took a couple minutes to talk to me about what I liked or didn’t like about my eyebrows, how often I wax or tweeze, more detail about what kind of arch I wanted, etc before getting started. Most places I’ve been recently don’t even ask what I’m looking for, they just start waxing how they please so this was important for me. She was pretty quick and very precise. When she was done, she was very apologetic about the wait. I’d give it another chance, as the outcome was great. I would just hope to not have to wait as long next time I have an appointment but you know, stuff happens sometimes.

Getting your eyebrows waxed is no joke, after having multiple screw mine up I came to Brow Bar @ Ulta hearing they were great.
Elissa, is AMAZING !! If she was to leave and work somewhere else I would follow her, as I don’t want to loose her for this service.
It’s not your typical lay down, you sit in a chair; and she’s pretty quick too ! Great convo, makes you feel comfortable, and she gives good beauty tips.
Come in and you will never leave ! You will leave feeling beautiful and confident. Remember ask for Elissa =)
