Sunday’s are awesome at Junkie. Bottomless mimosas until 2 pm and breakfast for $ 15! Monica always does a great job behind the bar. She is fast friendly and knows her drinks! Great hospitality at Junkie, it always keeps me coming back.

Went to American Junkie on Saturday night. I had a blast! It was busy and the DJ was playing all the hits. Monica and Mike were behind the bar and were fast and made my experience great! Thank you! Be back soon:)

Monica was our bartender. I had been to American Junkie several times but never received the extraordinary service that she provided. I will be coming back here more often. Thank you!

Going from a 3 stars to a 1 star. Tried giving this place another shot, but it’s ridiculous. I guess you don’t get serviced if the bartender is out or when they’re close downstairs. Seriously WORST servers.

Great place to have drinks on the water. Bartenders are cool and it’s good to relax and watch boats go by after a day at the office. Pretty good happy hour too!

So $ 15 for a breakfast item and bottomless mimosas? I’m in! My friends and I came here for a Sunday, and I believe most of the parking spots have to be paid for(though I’m not sure, we ended up taking a Lyft there). It was pretty crowded and our waitress did seem to be stretched a bit thin between the various tables, so service was a bit lacking. I had the Chicken and Waffles and the Mimosas. The chicken wasn’t really all that good, it was just two pieces of chicken that was breaded in some way and tasted mediocre. The waffles had a interesting butter on top that was reminiscent of cream cheese and jalapeño. I liked that quite a bit, albeit they put two giant scoops on for each waffle section. The mimosas were just okay. It tasted like the orange juice you get from those«made from concentrate» bottles mixed with champagne. Sometimes the alcoholic content was very weak and sometimes it was good, it kind of varied with each pour. While the food and drinks were just average, for just $ 15 the value is excellent, especially if you can drink a lot. There is a sign that says there is a 15 minute wait in between drinks, but I don’t think that’s set in stone since it didn’t seem like it was timed.

My friends and I had Allison as our server and she rocked! There were 10 of us for a birthday brunch celebration on Sunday, June 5th… Allison was on top of it, catered to all our needs and so professional and sweet! The brunch is awesome! $ 15 for a breakfast entrée plus bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys! Great view of Newport Bay.

While using the restroom at your establishment today I was approached by a dude who asked how many neck tattoos I had. I replied 3 but they aren’t that noticeable thinking he was some drunk idiot with sleeves who was going to ask me if it hurt or not. Surprisingly I was wrong, turns out he’s an employee who was trying to gauge my work in an effort to see if he could conform me to your«dress code». I cordially declined the generous bandaid offer to cover my tattoos and was then told to leave… According to your employee he had to ask a «black man» to leave for the same thing earlier, yet dude played the«race card». So was I profiled in order to save a lawsuit say should neck tattooed«black man» see a neck tattooed«white man» enjoying food at your restaurant? I don’t know, don’t care, I’ve never been a person to judge people based on their appearance. I happily took my business elsewhere. Seriously American Junkie? You run a tattooed /strip club themed restaurant and yet discriminate about the appearance of your clientele. Last I checked your in Newport Beach, money is everything and pretty sure gang violence isn’t an issue during your Saturday brunch. Chalking this up to just meathead mentality, insecurity or both I dunno, I suppose being able to turn away paying patrons at your leisure must mean business is good. Regardless why not put a not welcome sign on your front door. Nothing says American like some racism. #tattooedpeoplelivesmatter

Taco Tuesdayyyy! Me and the bf actually tried to hit up American Junkie last week for their $ 5AYCE! Unfortunately, we didn’t even make it through the door because bf was wearing sweats and they don’t allow sports attire. Their dress code is strictly enforced, so make sure to dress accordingly! This week, we made sure to wear the right clothes. Anyways! $ 5AYCE?! Awesome! I love a good deal! What I didn’t know was that you have to purchase a drink with your ayce. Oh well. Their Coronas are $ 3 and margaritas $ 5 so not too bad. It ended up being a little over $ 17 for 2 ayce and 2 Coronas. AYCE is only from 4 – 10, so make sure you come early enough! It ends at 9 downstairs but continues til 10 upstairs. I liked that the tacos were served buffet style; you just get in line and they get your tacos for you! I’ve gone to other AYCE Taco Tues where you get a table and everytime you want tacos you have to order it with a server but you get full so much quicker because the food comes out so slowly! They had carne asada, chicken, carnitas & fish. I liked the carne asada and carnitas the best! I seriously had like 12 tacos, don’t judge! I was hungry! And for only $ 5?! Not bad, not bad at all. I came at 8 and it was super crowded, and ended up standing around for a while. I felt kind of really awkward because I felt like I was in everyone’s way. I had eaten literally 10 tacos before we finally found an empty table. Tldr; good deals for taco tues! If you decide to come, make sure you adhere to their dress code or they won’t let you in

So I’ve been here on two separate occasions. The first time, I came for brunch on a Sunday. It was $ 15 for an entrée and bottomless mimosas. The upstairs was packed, which is where the outside tables are. I would probably make a reservation for the outdoor seating next time. We sat downstairs. The food was great and our waitress was very attentive. She was always filling up our drinks. The second time, I came here in the evening. I came for Taco Tuesday but arrived pretty late so I missed the tacos. The line outside was pretty long but it moved quickly. I was surprised that there was a line, and everyone had to wait in it… even if you’re a group of girls. When we went inside, we walked upstairs and it was so packed! It was alright. Nothing special, and at a point the music was horrible! I would definitely come back for brunch, but Baja Sharkeez definitely tops this place for a chill night out.

Weekend brunch is a must! First of all, this is an unbeatable deal. $ 15 for bottomless mimosas plus your entrée. I got a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Loved that I could choose tots as a side option. We sat on one of the few tables that’s outside. It was beautiful with such a great view of the harbor. On a perfect day, the weather and views are incredible. My only complaint is that the mimosas come in champagne flutes and only get filled when the waitresses come around. Sign at the bar says that they’ll come around every 15 mins but it seemed more frequent. However, the glasses are so small and mostly juice that you could drink them in a few sips. Regardless, it was still a fun time!

Yeesh, doormen are pretentious nobodies. We went with a big bachelorette group during prime time Saturday night and the place was dead. One friend couldn’t get in because they had a tiny strip of camo on the bottom of a black shirt. We immediately walked out because it was so empty.

What? $ 5AYCE Taco Tuesday?! Say no more! While visiting a friend we couldn’t help but stop by for this awesome deal! I must say I was pretty impressed by their tacos selection. The AYCE offers the choice of carne asada, pulled pork, chicken, and grilled fish. The tacos were served buffet style so there’s barely any wait. You can also add on rice, beans, cole slaw, salsa, and nachos! For $ 5, they were not bad at all! After my first plate, I decided to go low-carb and skipped out on the bean and tortilla. It was so much easier to eat and what’s even better… You can make your own salad or nacho dip! :D(Your welcome!) What’s taco without any beer? Enjoy their happy hour from 4 – 7 where most drinks range from only $ 3 – 5! Good company + Tacos + Beer + View! I’m sold! See you next time American Junkie!

I had a great time celebrating a Sunday birthday brunch there. We were seated on the outside patio. It was a beautiful view. The sun was a little bright at first, but then it got covered by the shade and building later. The problem with sitting on the patio though, is that it gets really crowded with people piling on the deck trying to take a picture. When I first came in, I was a little skeptical. Walking through the parking lot, the outside of the restaurant stank of stale alcohol. But inside was really nice, and the brunch prices can’t be beat. $ 15 for brunch and bottomless mimosas or bloody mary’s? Yes please. Given that I was drinking mostly orange juice, you still get your money’s worth. The service staff were all really attentive and nice. They topped us off with booze what seemed like every 5 minutes. But I’m not complaining. I had the Zen Bowl, which was not very zenful. I only ate half of it. The cheese was cold, the steak was chewy and the rice was hard, but somehow it still was okay. Maybe that’s why they try to get you drunk in the first 5 minutes. Oh well. I still had a great time. It’s a great place to host a birthday brunch.

This was my first time here and it looks like a pretty popular place. Came here yesterday for brunch with my boyfriend and a few girlfriend. They have a brunch special– 10am to 2pm brunch entrée plus bottomless mimosas or bloody Mary’s for $ 15. They have a private lot if you don’t mind paying $ 10. We opted for street paying for $ 1.75/hour though. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles and I wish I had ordered the same thing! The jalapeño butter on the waffles was perfection. Be warned that they serve you chicken strips with your waffles so don’t expect chicken pieces. I had an omelette and I don’t recommend it. It was very bland but the tater tots that came with it was pretty good. The service was spot on. Our glasses were always filled and the staff was very friendly. It’s worth coming here for the drinks and the views! Our party stayed for at least 4 hours drinking and enjoying the scenery. Great place for brunch :)

This review is strictly for their event on Tuesday 11÷10÷15. I came here at 7:15 and when I entered with my friend, the guard wanted ID. It was because he said the event is for 21 and up only when it reaches 7:30. But it hasn’t even been 7:30 yet!!! And the event page never mentioned anything about the age limit for the time. And 7:30 for 21 and up only??? Wtf do we not have school??? The guard was rude and just kept repeating«it’s 21 and up only when it’s 7:30 folks» Ok, whatever. Bye.

Depending on what you go for, this place is decent. I’ve been several times(against my will) to go out on a weekend and I haven’t enjoyed it any time I’ve gone. The place is basically packed with incredibly drunk people and it’s really difficult to get to the bar. Once you wiggle your way past the awkwardly large table obstructing you from the bar upstairs, you’re at the risk of about 6 guys spilling their drinks on you because it’s such close quarters. There is a patio upstairs, but it’s pretty much always packed. Has a good view of the bay though! One thing I hate about this place is the line/bouncer situation. They have never been fair in letting people in, and although you could be at the front of the line waiting patiently, you may have to wait for 30 – 45 minutes if other people they know show up. This specific situation happened on the 4th of July. We waited for 45 minutes while we watched people casually stroll in and hug or shake hands with the bouncer, who then told us that they were at capacity and we would have to continue waiting. If you’re at capacity, why are you letting 30+ people in that you know? Only upside is that I’ve been for Sunday Brunch and it’s a much different atmosphere. We sat at a table downstairs(a little crowded but we managed to find a small table) overlooking the bay. I ordered the waffles with fresh strawberries. Nothing special but it hit the spot! If you order from the breakfast menu you can opt in for the endless mimosa brunch for a total of $ 15.
